| | Reception & Waiting Area Welcome to the Department of Magical Accidents & Catastrophes.
When you exit the lifts into the foyer, the Reception and waiting area is to your left through some revolving doors that will simply revolve you right back out again if you don't have business here. If you do however, by all means take a seat in one of the comfortable chairs, or matching couch, upholstered in a light green fabric which matches and almost even blends to the pale blue and green patchwork carpeting.
A rug protects the carpet, with accent colours which match the seating and the small cushions which each seat boasts. Directly in front of you is the reception desk where the new receptionist is stationed to direct you to the right place or take any messages as needed. There is no music any more, but there is a tidy stack of journals and magazines - not silly gossip rags, but rather Achievements in Charms and Transfiguration Today and The Daily Prophet and other similar publications. Useful things, but don't attempt to remove them from here or they'll spontaneously roll up and smack you about the head!
The sign on the reception desk is directly in your line of sight- visitors MUST check in and get a pass before heading through into the Department proper. Naturally employees don't need to do this, they have a DMAC badge after all.
To the left of the reception desk is a door that leads to a long corridor, down which you will find the spiral staircase that joins to level 4 (though not many people know about this staircase).
To your right is the Main Work Area & Cubicles, and the Department Head's Office. The rest of the Department can only be accessed by an interior corridor through the Main Work Area.
There is a map on the wall. Quote: OOC: Your character should pass through here before entering the Work Areas and Cubicles. This is where visitors are encouraged to Roleplay! Our receptionist is a non-playable character named Ursala Gray who is very efficient and what she does If your character is here to visit with a DMAC employee, you can feel free to post on through to the appropriate area, (just make sure you start by coming through here, pick up a visitors pass, and be willing to accept the consequences if its a restricted area!) Alternatively if you wish to create your own RP, report a magical accident or anything like that, feel free to PM the Department Head and we can try to figure something out for you! If nobody responds to you in due time, please send a PM or VM to me or any one of the active employees!

| ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe Sat on top of the reception area was a Ms. Eliora Dodderidge, BEST FRAND of Ursula Gray and Maddox Quigley and therefore the MOST extra of the department. She had her legs crossed as she tucked into the chicken salad baguette she had got for herself for lunch and talked through a full mouth to Ursy who was in her rightful seat. Behind the table and supposed to be dealing with something for Maddy. But it was OKAY, as Eliora was...telling her (not that anyone outside of their friendship would understand, because she really was talking with her mouth full), because Maddy kNEW they took two lunch breaks some days to catch up on the DRAMAS of adult life.
And by GOLLY was it a LOT of drama recently.
Hopefully no one needed any help because Eli was NOT going to give up her gossip time for Ursula to HELP people.

Hopefully no one needed any help because Eli was NOT going to give up her gossip time for Ursula to HELP people. Sweet Merlin where had this restless energy come from??? Maddox made his way back onto level three after an outside meeting, feeling like....he....needed to chase his tail--except he really didn't want to and should have been looking forward to a nap. This conflicting feeling of being both tired AND wide awake was honestly exhausting. "I'll be back in office for the next two hours Ursula." He passed on as he made his way by the ...
....
........ Blink. "Eliora...?" The man didn't know what had stopped him in his tracks. Her sitting on the receptionist's table or the fact they seemed to be at lunch...right there in the lobby while they chatted away.
Perhaps it would have been best he kept walking but then. "Liking the weather up there?" He questioned, his tone as casual as always...lazy almost. He supposed he could spare a moment. Get her off the table while he was at it. Hopefully. Maddox leaned against the desk, fighting that urge to run in circles. "What am I missing?"

Bread in gob, Eliora was deffffffinitely excited to see her Maddy and gave him a big old wave as he was about to pass. Probably on his way to a super important meeting with someone higher up. Ugh her man dominating in meetings was super hot, yeah? But not as hot as having a two hour lunch break. Yessssssss. When she finally swallowed the mouthful of food, boss man was leaning on the desk she was sitting on and so she turned to face him as well as Ursy, leaning her arm on his shoulder. "It's particularly warm and breezy if I'm honest. Must be all the hot air in your head now you're here." A grin and a stick out of her tongue happened before she rested her head onto his shoulder with a big ol'
