Level One Lobby and Reception When you step out of the lifts you are greeted by a well lit lobby. To your right there are bathrooms. There is also a security desk here, permanently occupied by two members of ministry security where all visitors must sign in. Further into the lobby there is a waiting area where you may take a seat, though be sure to check in at the large reception desk first as you will be directed to exactly where you need to go, and escorted if necessary. |

She didn't notice his skimming over his own family and focused on the baby. "Oh, a new baby! How wonderful. I just love babies." She wondered if there may be some baby sitting money involved with those three nephews of his. She laughed at his next question. Did she have a big family?? "You could say I have a big family. I'm the youngest of seven and the only girl." She shook her head. She would have loved to have had a least one sister. "My oldest brothers already have wives and kids of their own. I'm an aunt several times over." She joyous as she spoke of her family. They really were the best. Ashery followed him up the stairs and into the lobby. They had arrived! She hadn't realized how worried she had been about being lost until the sweet feeling of relief washed over her. "Here we are!" |
The girls’ excitement was contagious and Conley couldn’t help but smile. ”Little ones always make the holidays more fun. Do you babysit for them often? I bet your brother’s appreciate that a lot.” His always did. Despite the fact that Conley didn’t particularly feel comfortable around children, it never seemed to stop his brother from sticking him with the little hellions. Both of the older nephews acted just like their father and Conley and Nathaniel had never gotten along. Maybe, just maybe the new one would be more like Conley. Well, he could hope couldn’t he? Was it wrong to hope that? The lobby was a bit busy, but not more so then usual. Perhaps it was time to part ways. He was sure the girl had things to do and he needed to see Ms. Bones in particular. ”Well, Ms. Ashrey,” Conley said with a waggish bow. ”I have enjoyed playing tour guide. “ He hoped she would take the joke in stride. He had gotten the impression that she had a good sense of humor and hoped his playful teasing wouldn’t upset her. ”Perhaps we could meet for tea or lunch sometime soon? Feel free to stop by Level Five the next time you get lost, I think I have a map of the ministry I could lend you. ” |

"Thank you so much for joining me on the journey. It was a pleasure." She stood, a bit awkwardly, near the isle that lead to her desk. "I'd quite enjoy meeting for lunch or tea, and I'll be sure to drop by Level Five again, hopefully to say hi and not in need of a map." She turned to walk to her desk, then spun around one last time. "Thank you." After flashing one last smile, she headed of to get some work done and to check on Mrs. Bones and the Minister. |
Open for anyone! Ah, reception. His new home for the foreseeable future. Royland grinned to himself as he stepped off the lift and headed over to his brand new desk. He'd spent a few days getting settled - filling out new employee paperwork and all that fun stuff. Today he'd brought in some more personal touches for his desk. He had a picture of his siblings, a picture of his parents, and a picture of his new puppy and kitten, Milkshake and Pancake As he started unloading his stuff on to his desk, he whistled softly to himself. He was in a rather good mood today, which was a good thing. The more good days he had, the better. |
*shifty* anyone and everyone's more than welcome to play! Exiting the lift Ryder's eyes moved from side to side before glancing at his team and moved forward into reception. Time to clear each of the departments and make sure all was secure. It might not be due to a huge uprise but it did not hurt to do dry runs. "Anything?" he murmured to the one nearest him as he held his wand out. He only spotted a new receptionist nearby at his desk. |

Royland would be pretty bad at his job if he didn't notice the man coming out of the lift, wand drawn like something was about to jump out at him at any moment. Raising a blond eyebrow, Royland set down the pile of magazines he was straightening and waved at the man. "Erm...hi. Need help?" he asked. More importantly - did Royland need to be concerned for his LIFE or anything?? |

“So far so good…” Simon responded to his boss’ question, leaving the one addressed to Ryder to the older man in question to answer. |

Jacob West stepped off the lifts and made his way to the side. He knew that Jacob would be joining him shortly and he had zero desire to talk to the Minister or January Bones alone. After all that had happened with the previous Minister of Magic, West was having a hard time trusting Mr. Hollingberry. The odds of the man following in his predecessors footsteps were slim to none, but that slim still had him worried. Either way, they had been assigned the task of speaking with the Minister and Ms. Bones, so that was what he was going to do. |

Gesturing with a hand at the reception desk Jacob wondered "Have you checked us in and told the receptionist we wish to speak to Ms Bones and Minister Hollingberry?" The only previous run he had had with Minister Hollingberry was when he had spoken months ago at the orientation event, so he still did not know what to make of the man in charge. |

His eyes followed Jacob's gesture and he shook his head. "No, I stepped off the lift only moments before your arrival. I haven't had a chance to do much of anything. Plus, I didn't want to risk a run in with the new minster before you got here." He chuckled a deep, quiet, chuckle and started towards the desk. "I guess now is as good of time as any, I guess our first stop should be Ms. Bones." West approached the reception desk and flashed his bright, charming smile. "West Riedel and Jacob Radford here to see Ms. Bones and the Minister. I believe they are expecting us." If the pair didn't know, then Jacob and West would be a lovely surprise. |

Law Enforcement folks really were as dramatic as everyone said they were. Quote:
Waving his wand, a tiny piece of parchment scribbled a message stating their arrival, and then folded off into the shape of an owl. He waved his wand again and the memo was off into the Minister's office. |
SPOILER!!: West + Royland Jacob still had his mind on the report he had to give to Milo in a few hours and the horrible morning when West as met him halfway. Breathing in and exhaling out a few times he tried to push the thoughts of the Gobstones team contract mess out of his head. Smiling weakly in response to West he replied ”Yes, I managed to fix things in the end, but I tell you for a moment there i thought they’d start throwing fists or worse hexes at me and each other, but luckily the team managers could be persuaded to see reason over the player contract.” At West’s comment about the risk of running into the new minister on his own Jacob grinned and chuckled lightly as they started to walk towards the reception desk. "I'm sure Mr Hollingberry isn’t so bad. I mean he didn’t seem as weird that Nichols guy that we had before him at the orientation event when the ministry opened months ago now, right?" But then again appearances and words could be decieving…When they stopped in front of the receptionist Jacob let West do all the talking. He knew the other guy was better at charming them past the receptionist. |
West, Royland, Jacob! Charles appreciated the little paper owls that Royland tended to send. It was a nice change of pace from the purple paper airplanes and occasional patronus that would prance around his office. Plus, when he was done with the memo, he could bring them to his grandchildren as a present! Stepping out of his office and walking through January's, the Minister for Magic emerged in the lobby area to greet their visitors from Games & Sports. He recalled Victoria mentioning something or another about having an important matter to discuss with his office...but he was drawing a bit of a blank at the moment as to the specifics. There were many memos and files on his desk and recently he had not been as organized as he would have liked. Perhaps he should look into hiring himself a personal assistant. "Good day, gentlemen," he greeted boisterously with open arms. "Do what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" And he rewarded Royland with a small packet of yogurt covered raisins from his own office, which he tossed lightly in the young man's direction. |
Text Cut: Jacob and Royland "Splendid!" He replied to the receptionist as his eyes followed the memo zooming off towards its destination. West turned back to Jacob, "Sounds like you had quite the mess on your hands. Bully for you for taking care of it so smoothly." Team managers could be an interesting bunch to deal with. "I'm sure you are right about Mr. Hollingberry. I just have such a sour taste in my mouth from our former fearless leader that it's hard to want to look for the good." And this new guy better be good, not that he could really do anything about it if he wasn't. Before he could continue the conversation, Mr. Hollingberry was headed towards them. Text Cut: Minister "Good day to you as well." West took a slight step back, momentarily wondering if the man was going to hug him, then relaxed when he saw the small packet fly towards Royland. "My colleague, Jacob, and I are here to discuss the safety of our food court and how healthy the food and drink options are." He looked at Jacob, wondering if he was forgetting anything important thus far. |
Of course January had remembered that there was a meeting. Of course. To be honest it was hard to keep track of meetings that weren't planned by herself. There always seemed to be so much going on. She had written this one down, of course, but her calendar had been temporarily covered by employee files, so she only really remembered when Royland had come in to tell them that they were there to meet with them. After Charles went out to meet them, January quickly finished an item she was working on and then followed him out, catching the man's intro about the food court and the food options. "I'm sure you've noticed that our food court is currently closed under investigation..." January said as she stepped up beside the Minister. "But perhaps this is good timing. If changes need to be made, now might be the best time." January, unfortunately, had neither yogurt covered raisins or open arms. Her enthusiasm, though it was there, paled in comparison to Charles'. |
