He had waited a few months to have a staff meeting as to have a better grip on the department staff, how things were run, what needed to be changed, and it had given him time to do some digging and investigating of his own. The fact that graffiti was popping up again in Diagon Alley with no witnesses and for no apparent reason? Well, he might know better, but his staff didn't.

He made sure he was early. He had thought about making an entrance, but that just wasn't his thing. Instead he was sitting at the head of the table with a sucker stick poking out between his tight lips, a frown on his face, and a stack of files in front of him.

Scottie really tried not to be first to the meeting. Like, he truly and REALLY tried. He didn't fancy being stuck alone with Goldwasser, and he also wasn't anxiety-free enough to not freak out at sitting...alone with his boss.

But it got to the point that he was just milling about WAITING for the meeting, which was causing him more grief than he thought sitting with Goldwasser would cause, and soooOOooo...he entered the room. He knew he wasn't required, but he wasn't currently doing...security things and he wanted to come. He liked meetings. Maybe he was one of the few, but it made him feel more a part of the MLE. So...here he was.

"Good day, Sir," he said politely as he ducked into the room. "Hope you're...er....doing well, sir." He eyed the lollie and wondered what kind of man enjoyed eating candy at meetings. It didn't feel professional, did it?

She never liked meetings; not as a YATI, not as an Auror, not as Head Auror and not as Department Head. Being back in the position of Head Auror, it turned out, she still didn't like meetings.

Who would've thought?

Alexa walked into the room without any particular urgency. If she was going to be early, there was no reason to do so at break neck speed then waste away in her chair until it was finally time to begin. "Goldwasser." She greeted, polite enough for her as she sank down into her seat.

And there was Ferguson who got a small nod of her head.

If the memos were in better working order, she may have asked why the man didn't put them to use but alas, this meeting was slightly more necessary.

Emilia arrived shortly after Cambridge, who she was relieved to see back at the ministry. She admired the way Alexa worked, trusted her as a leader. The jury was still out on Goldwasser, though. He was watchful, reproachful looking, and not someone Em would ever want to cross, that much she was sure.

"Sir." The brunette nodded her head in greeting, taking a seat by Ferguson and offering him and Cambridge a polite smile. Hopefully the others would arrive soon so they could get started.

Tomasz still was not getting much sleep. He did, however, learn to like coffee... Though it had very little to do with enjoying its taste and far more to do with relying upon its ability to keep him up during the day. This, however, was not the point. He was managing the best he could and hopefully no one would notice the bags under his eyes.

After his final round in the atrium, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and made his way for the conference room, just trailing behind Emilia. He nodded politely in Goldwasser's direction, opting to lean against a wall rather than take a seat at the table. He always felt strange sitting down when meetings involved those who were higher up in rank. The seats, he felt, were better left to the aurors. As a security officer, he was used to standing anyhow.

The blond wasn't a big fan of meetings either. A meeting without food should have been done in the form of a memo. Food aside, he preferred memos, even if they had been a bit wonky before -- they were targeted to a specific person or group and took less time to read than waiting to get everyone assembled before it was time to share crucial information. But this wasn't his show to run, so not a single word about his feelings about meetings would be uttered.

Following Tomasz, Frankie entered the conference room and took not of who was and wasn't there already. Naturally Bain was the first person he noticed ... and that sucker stick in his mouth. The Auror resisted the urge to ask the man if he should get the fruit bowl from the break room for him and simply said 'Goldwasser' in greeting.

Head nods were given to Scott, Emilia, and Tomasz as he sat down in a seat beside Alexa, who also received a head nod.

He watched people filing in and could tell most of them didn't want to be here. Well, he didn't want to be here either and the memos were working he wouldn't have to be here, surrounded by people in a too bright room. He acknowledged the few that said hello with a nod as he finished off his sucker.

He glanced at his watch and decided he had waited long enough. Whoever came in later was going to owe him a few laps before they went home. He plucked the sucker stick out his mouth as he began to speak. "Alright. Shop owners have been sending in reports of graffiti in Daigon Alley. It seems this isn't the first bout of them either and from what I could tell from reports, very little information has presented itself. It's starting to become more then a nuisance. Hit Wizards, I would like you start canvasing the Alley looking for witnesses, culprits...information of any sort. I'd specifically like you to interview Dante Zabini and Eden and Arden Toros."

He tossed his sucker stick in the trash and then turned his dark eyes on Cambridge. "How is the search for the escaped Azkaban prisoners progressing?"

He was one of the apparently rare Aurors who actually liked meetings. Made sure everyone was on the same page, so to speak. If he were in charge, they’d have them every week. But he wasn’t, so they didn’t. He also seemed to be one of the few in the Ministry who wasn’t in the least bit bothered by their new department head. In fact, Ronan found him a (mostly) delightful change of pace. Felt nice to have another who noticed even the small things about their surroundings.

Not a word was said about the lollipop stick as Ronan sat and listened, to-go coffee in hand. What Goldwasser stuck in his mouth was his business. Instead, the Auror sat silently, with a raised brow aimed at the department head.

He had a feeling he knew what this meeting was going to be about: the Diagon Alley graffiti. And it wasn’t that he didn’t know any better, it was that he just couldn’t care less. As far as he was concerned, the whole place could use a good make-over anyway. Not to mention, he only stepped foot there when it was assigned to his rounds.

Annnd, it turned out that he was right. Yawn. So, if he was going to assign that to the Hit Wizards, why did the Aurors have to be here?

Eyebrow was raised again. Ronan was under the impression that all the escapees had been rounded up already. Apparently not. See, this was what happened when you had a department head that avoided having meetings at all. People can’t do their work accurately or effectively. People ended up looking like fools. And if there was anything he hated more than anything, it was looking like a fool.

Well, the meeting was filling up well enough. All the big important MLE people and whatnot. He got comfortable in his chair, nodding at anyone who nodded at him first. Otherwise, he was pretty quiet.

Yes, yes. The graffiti, of course!

He then looked at Cambridge, also curious about the answer to this question. Everything was so fun in meetings?

The graffiti, right. That had nothing to do with her division. She didn't know if Goldwasser thought the Aurors had a chunk of time to waste with these meetings but until it was called to an end, she would assume the part that was actually important would be coming.

As to the escapees. "Back in their cells, at least according to the reports left on my desk." Forgive the skepticism in her tone or don't but she had seen enough of people not being who they claimed to be. Right now, there was a massive cover up going on. No one was answering her questions over at Azkaban and she'd been getting a lot of rum around.

"I'll be taking a team over there to verify for myself."

The blond sat there in silence, listening and waiting for instruction. It was no surprise to him that the graffiti was brought up. He was still a bit surprised that it was still an ongoing issue. Then again, he knew the Hit Wizards were just as busy as the Aurors were these days.

Speaking of Aurors ... why were they here again? The graffiti didn't fall under the division he was in, so their purpose for being here int he conference room still had yet to be revealed. He glanced over at Alexa as she responded to Bain's question about the escaped Azkaban prisoners. He resisted the urge to raise an eyebrow. The tone in Alexa's voice was ... well, he noticed it. He did perk up a bit when she said that she would be taking a team over to the prison to verify those reports she had been given.

His eyes then flicked back over to the department head. Well...?

"Not only has the graffiti become a problem, it seems that shops have been trashed, items damaged, and a few things missing. Patrols in the Alley needs to be increased and these interviews need to be conducted as soon as possible."

Ah, so everyone was back in their cells were they? He nodded thoughtfully. Good that was good. "I would like a follow up report from your investigation as soon as possible."

He took a deep breath as he addressed the next subject on his to do-list. "Onto the Roller investigation." He wasn't sure who had been in charge of it - he hadn't found a record and considering that Cambridge had been, shall we say 'out of commission' he wasn't surprised. He turned his attention to her for a moment. "Cambridge, I think it best if you leave." He waited a moment for her to take her leave (or not) and then continued.

"I'd like someone to re-interview Ambassador Hilary Pen." His understanding was she had been the last person to enter the courtroom right when the lights had gone out and the timing just seemed very...convenient. Especially when she was supposedly trying to extradite the man. "I understand this may prove difficult. I suggest getting Singh-Phora's cooperation in setting up the interview." He turned his dark gaze onto Ronan Carter. "Carter? Perhaps you would be interested in taking the lead on the investigation?" He looked at the young man knowing he was looking for a chance to prove himself.

Phew. He hadn’t been misinformed. Though, Alexa seemed to have some doubts about it.

Now came the part he was really looking for. The Roller investigation. Had Shacklebolt even bothered to start an investigation on this before she left? Apparently, he would have to look into it as he was being given the lead on this very important investigation. He managed to keep the excitement off his face as he replied. ”Of course, boss.” And he was already making a mental note to stop off at Singh-Phora’s office after the meeting.
