Hello! I'm a new member here on SS and you can call me by my username or shorten it or call me whatever you want I don't really care. I'm an 18 year old girl from the eastern US who loves to draw in her past time. I made this thread so I could have a focus for my sketches when I can't really think of what to draw (which happens constantly ). So what better focus than Harry Potter? It's also going to be mostly sketches because coloring for me takes forever and I wanted kind of a stress free place to post some stuff. Hopefully as I get a little faster and better I will post some colored pieces too, but that won't be for awhile. Keep in mind that I'm just an amateur who still has a long way to go before I'm any good so while I welcome critiques no just plain mean comments thanks . Also I love taking requests whether HP or anything else.
This first picture is of one of my favorite characters Tom Riddle. I realized just now that he's holding his wand in his left hand... oops... but hey, he was a smart and talented guy so let's just pretend he was ambidextrous.

Awesome sketch! It looks like you have a really distinctive style, like you could be a cartoonist or something.
Oh and welcome to SS! Madame Malkin's is a great place to hang out.

Thank you!! Aww, you're too kind! When I first started drawing more "seriously" (I say that extremely loosely) I tried to do straight out anime but didn't really fall in love with the style so it kind of morphed from there. It's still changing as I learn more and stuff.
Yes it seems like a wonderful place with such fantastically talented artists *points at sig* and of course I've seen the breathtakingly beautiful shop you have. With Batman themed index?? Could it get any more awesome than Batman?

So time for my other favorite character Luna Lovegood! This one the shading (ok a lot more than just the shading..) is a lot sloppier than the previous one because I got lazy. :/ Oh well... I'm too lazy to redo it. The diadem's supposed to be all askew I swear I did that on purpose.
*eeeeeeeks!* may i have permission to use the Luna drawing as a background on my laptop?! you have a fabulous eye for showing the character as a whole, not just their physical being. may i ask what is your inspiration for your technique or is it just something you came by naturally?
