Welcome to my humble abode. The door is always open. But check I am in here first (I just may be ~~flirting~~being flirted to on Level Six with a Ms Brothmeister). Pull up a chair.

No need for formalities, the name is Theo.

My office has a desk, like most offices. The walls are covered with posters of Quidditch teams, and players. You will find brooms in the corner, gobstones on the table, balls all over the place. Make sure you don't step on anything.

"Yeah I will do Alexander," Theo smiled, "Possibly drop them by, if they come in."

He laughed as he watched Alina rearranged his paperwork, "What are you doing? You put it there."

Alina looked up from her sorting, her eyes twinkling. "I'm sorting out all the easy things for you, that only need a signature. Then I can get them sent off, get some things ticked off the list of bits to do and spend some time with you." She smiled, and handed him a quill.

Theo took hold of the quill and huffed, "Do I have to sign these now?" He headed to the other side of the table and flopped down in his chair. He began signing the small pile. "So what happens once I am done with these? Do I get a present to say well done?"

Alina laughed. "Technically you don't have to, but it would be better if you did." She stroked his hair as he sat down, and perched on the edge of his desk so that she could send the parchments off as soon as Theo had signed them.

"You can have a present if you wish, what were you thinking of?"

Theo laughed, "I guess I had better do them then. If you think it would be better."

He signed the bits of parchment in front of him.

"Well a cookie. I would like a cookie please," he smiled. He loved cookies. Especially the way she cooked them.

Alina suppressed a giggle. Theo could be like a little kid when it came to writing reports, even if they were quidditch based ones. He was a far more hands on person, and Alina was the one that enjoyed paperwork. They definitely made a good team.

As he signed the papers, Alina carefully folded them up and used a charm to send them to the correct departments. It had to be said that her origami skills had got pretty good since working at the Ministry.

"A cookie?" Alina raised an eyebrow teasingly. She disappeared for a few seconds, before coming back into the office with a rather large box. "And how did you know I brought these with me?" She laughed, how she had missed these sort of moments without one of the twins getting in the way.

"Yay," he cheered. She had brought cookies. "See now this is why you are my secretary. Because you know exactly what I want."

He put down his quill after signing the last parchment, "I done." He loved the way his son talked, it made him laugh so much.

"Well, I try my best to cover your needs and preferences." She grinned. The transition from home alone had been such a positive one, and even the twins seemed more relaxed towards each other. Probably because they got a lot of treats and more individual attention at their grandparents'. She placed the tin of cookies on his desk, and reheated Theo's leftover cofee.

"Good job!" With this, Alina opened the diary on Theo's desk, and highlighted through what had already been achieved. It was magically linked to her own diary so they would not double schedule events. She also added a couple of new meetings too.

Alina giggled at Theo's reference to Junior and smiled. How unlike in character, style and looks the twins were. "Good stuff!" She handed over tin of cookies, and beamed.

A small folded silvery-white piece of paper with a calligraphic 'A' in the corner zips into the room, and lands on a desk.

"Well I should hope so. And I try to do the same to you," Theo smiled, "But those cookies smell great though." He could sniff them through the tin.

He looked at his diary, he was amazed how she had done it. But it was impressive. Meetings. Alot of them it would seem.

He saw a note land on his desk. He loved getting mail.

"Oh, she hasn't, has she? Well then, it seems she REALLY wanted that broom!" At least Theo would have time to spend on work now, though, instead of looking for that blasted toy.

"Oh, dear, Theo, I do believe you're right. That savage little beast of a daughter of yours would wreak havoc on your household if she had possession of a beater's bat." He shook his head, making tutting noises.

"You know," he began. "There's nothing wrong with it. I mean, I know you wanted to have a family legacy on quidditch, much as I am in the process of creating, but you must look on the bright side of things. That one could be a genius, for all we know! Discovering the thirteenth use for dragon blood, perhaps!" He had to be positive for Theo Jr. Sometimes Theo was a bit hard on the boy. Ian often came to his defense in conversation.

"And I said I would take it down when you provided me with a new one," he laughed.

"Good morning Alex. What is the pleasure this morning?" he smiled. Now seeing two of his heads and his wife in his office. It was like a full blown meeting. Now all they needed was Dan. But he was probably busy with his new staff.[/QUOTE]

"I know he could be a genius. I am just waiting for the spark. Possibly even more magic use. He has only used it once in his life so far. Which isn't a good thing for his age. At least he isn't a squib," Theo sighed. He loved his son to pieces, but he did try the man's patience. Alot.

Alina laughed at the guys' banter in front of her. It was due to this that the department was such a great place to work in - she didn't know of any others that people had as much fun in.

She opened the tin of cookies, and grinned. Inside were a variety of flavours, the most numerous being chocolate chip. There were also some with large dollops of coloured icing and hundreds and thousands. She held the tin to both guys. "You'll have to excuse the decoration I'm afraid, Nia and Theo decided they wanted to help!" She laughed, and picked one for herself - a reasonably healthy oat and raison. "Plus one is meant to be of Buzz, I think it has it written on the bottom...please try to avoid that else Theo won't be happy!"

Theo was about to take a green and purple one. It resembled a blob, with Buzz, sort of written on it, "Aww I thought this one was for his superhero of a dad. Obviously not." His hand moved sideways and pulled out a blue one covered with hundreds and thousands. He took a bite, "Awesome as always."

Alina grinned. "You'd have to be a superhero of a Dad to cope with the huge tantrum from Theo if you did eat that cookie! And then also to bear the stroppy sister that also entailed."

She finished her cookie and watched as Theo ate his new choice, and a tinge of colour came to her cheeks. "Thankies, I think that was one of Nia's. Just don't tell her that, it'll only cause ruptions!"

"It will be fine. Especially as Mum was taking Nia out shopping today, and I think Dad was going to take Theo to the local kids' playground. You know how much Nia loves shopping, and I'm guessing she'll be out of the way all evening playing her new cd, or trying on her new outfits in front of the full length mirror in our room."

She smiled. For some reason, shopping trips with Grandma Nia liked very much, however trips into town with Alina often ended in disaster. Unless they were to Diagon Alley. Nia was very eager to get her hands on qudditch and spell books nowadays.

"So with Nia upstairs, and Theo tired from running around all day. I think we may well be in for a lovely relaxing evening. Maybe we should get in a take away and enjoy it to the max?"

"Oh I am glad. But does she really have to use our mirror? Maybe I should move it to the hallway. It would be less risky, were she to use the mirror if we were asleep," Theo smiled.

"Maybe I should take her shopping at some point. A father-daughter trip. It could be quite fun. I don't think I have ever shopped with her alone." It had been hell with the both of them.

"Mmm a take-away sounds good. But I can cook if you want. I do an excellent cheese on toast. Or maybe we can just send them to bed and relax that way. Without the risk of them coming down to watch what we are."

"You what Nia is like for wanting to see her whole outfit including her shoes. But yes, maybe getting a new one for the hallway or landing would be good." She smiled, and reclipped back her wavy hair.

"I think she'd actually quite like that. Especially if it involved going somewhere that sold Quidditch stuff or books that she can start swatting up on. I don't know, reading Hogwarts: A History aged nine - how excited will she be nearer the time of actually going there?" Alina's eyes twinkled. As strange as it sounded that Nia was such an avid reader, Alina had been just like that as a kid. Except she liked reading fantasy, not 'fashionable teen' books and trying to get ideas to hex her brother.

"Oooh, cheese on toast? I could quite fancy that actually, in front of a good film. Followed by plenty of ice cream. And then some chocolate." She nodded. If the twins were likely to be quiet, Alina was going to make the most of it. Especially after this morning's episode with Buzz and Theo accusing Nia of taking his voice away.

That girl read like crazy. She can't have got it from him, because he didn't read that much. Only when him and Natasha went to the library, or he was reading something to do with Quidditch.

"Nowhere near Quidditch-ness. I shall take her shopping in London, after visiting the Natural History Museum. I'll take Theo to the Science Museum some time. I think he would prefer that," he smiled. He may have got that wrong. But there weren't many things Theo Junior enjoyed doing, without getting bored, or tired.

"Are you trying to fatten me up Mrs Newtington?" Theo laughed, "I don't want to end up like him," he pointed to Ian, "I intend to keep my body in a good shape and I think Theo will help."

"Shopping in London?" Alina looked at her husband, slightly bemused to say the least. "Are you sure that's wise?" She smiled. "Though the Natural History Museum would be good. And I bet she'd love to see a show at the West End."

Alina took another cookie, and broke off a small chunk to eat. "Yes, wise idea - different places on different days. No squabbling that way!"

"Fatten you up?" She glanced across to Ian, as Theo joked with him and rolled her eyes. "Of course not...I just fancy an evening where I can eat and not have to worry about jumping up every five minutes to check this, that and the other!" A film definitely sounded good. She had picked up a couple last time she had been in town. A good comedy would be cool.

"And Nia now she wants to be outside practising her skills every five minutes in the garden." The broom bribe had worked well, and still held some power over Nia, but Alina knew they hadn't expected Nia to be quite this addicted and particular about her practising. Especially since she found an old Quidditch Tactics book of Theo's in the loft.

As in that place where they show play things, that you watch for fun. With singing and dancing. I don't like the sound of that. Maybe I should just take Theo out instead. We'll do a day trip to Paris. It'll be fine."

"I like that idea too. Once Theo is asleep he should be fine. Unless he gets up for the toilet. And Nia, we just tell her she can read. Alone time sounds fantastic," he grinned, "Bet you love that you get alot of alone time with Asteria, Ian. I can't wait for that moment actually."

"Not the dreaded Centaur Office!" Ian gasped playfully, knowing full well the intention of Theo's joke.

"I used to," Ian said, now remembering his tummy. "But I guess that's not really...possible anymore, now is it?" He continued staring at his extra padding and patted it, causing a few ripples to be sent in all directions on his shirt.

"Well, just make sure you love the boy regardless," Ian said, a little more serious this time.

Ian was delighted! A cookie? Alina sure knew the way to his heart. "Why, thank you, Alina! You know my one weakness is your cookies." He laughed as he reached in and grabbed a cookie. "I think I'll be safe with this nice red heart cookie."

He pulled it out and began to nibble on the tasty little morsel. He made several "yum" noises to show his approval.

"I'm going to give the instructions to my team now. Good day to both of you! If you need me, you know where to find me." With that, he bid them adieu and bowed his way out of the office.

"Yep I'll know where to find you," he nodded, "Probably in the Cafeteria." He waved goodbye to his friend, "See you later Ian."

Alina nodded. "It sure is. I used to love going to London in the holidays to see the shows there. All the amazing songs, dancing and costumes." Alina smiled as some of her favourite songs from the musicals popped into her head. "You take her to the museum, and another time Mum and I can take her to a show. A girly day out."

"Paris? But you've never taken me to Paris!" She laughed. "I'm guessing you mean Disneyland though? You sure you can cope with Theo going quite that mad when he sees all the characters?!"

Alina smiled. Her cookies didn't exactly last long when she brought them into the office. In fact, they had usually disappeared by mid morning break. Good job the twins loved to make them so often really.

"You never know what might happen at Hogwarts, thouh I see the two of them getting quite competitive as they get older and Theo eventually grows out of Buzz." She grinned. They had to hope it would happen sometime or later. Preferably sooner, else Nia wouldn't be very good to her twin at Hogwarts.

"I'll probably pop some paperwork along later, Ian, along with a cookie for your trouble, of course." She winked, and waved him bye as he returned to his office.
