Samuel had YET to get his action figure back, which upset him a little bit. He was going to have to talk to Wes about the crazy Division Head that was just a few doors down from him. Thank merlin she wasn't right next to him, because if she was, he would go crazy! Who's to say that she wouldn't bang on the walls just to annoy him? Sounded Whiggawhat-like to him.

He entered his office to only come across some guy he didn't know as well as a girl he didn't know and the guy he knew worked in his department...but he forgot his name. "Hello," he greeted them. Upon hearing what the guy asked about some invention, the lightbulb in his head went off."Yes! I haven't gotten a chance to look at it, but there were some notes and...I'm going to assume it's been checked out," he answered. "The old Division Head must have looked at it if she left me notes on what level your from." Right? RIGHT. "Here," he said as he walked over to his desk to pick up the invention and handed it to the guy.

He turned back around to his pink desk, then sighed. Did Lima really have to make it permanent? He very much preferred it to be orange. "So, um, I don't think we've met," he addressed the woman as he turned to look at her. "Samuel McDean, the new Division Head."

Melanie looked at the pink desk and smirked at it. " Well that's normal here, we always get stuck with the crazy stuff".

Melanie noticed a man entering and remembered what Dora had said about the new Division Head being yummy. She chuckled under her breath. Dora was right. When he addressed to her she stretched a hand at him " Melanie Hale, previous Division Head" she said introducing herself with a certain humor in her voice. It was funny. Division Head, previous Division Head -ahah.

"Ben told me I could come back when I was ready, not to be Division Head of course, but to my old position here on the office... "

"Indeed...I have come to learn that as well," Gavin replied in agreement catching her smirk. Noticing Sam enter the office, he unconsciously straightened from leaning, though not that his movement was because of his boss.

"I shall leave you to your task," he added to Melanie, nodding to Sam as he approached and the two got acquainted. Gavin returning to his desk to see what he could do as he sat down behind it.

"Thank you madame. As always, it is a pleasure to do interdepartmental work with great success. I hope to see more of you in future" he asid, politely. With that he walked over to the lifts and went back to level 7.

Samuel was going to have to get the name of his employee sooner or later. He knew he knew it, he just couldn't think of it at the moment. He nodded his head once towards the man before looking back at the woman, who had just said she was the previous Division Head. Ha, talk about awkward much. He wasn't planning on standing in front of the person that use to be the Division Head here. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Melanie," he said with a smile.

He looked over to fact that someone named 'Ben' had told Melanie that, because he had NO idea who Ben was, but he didn't want to sound stupid saying that outloud. "Oh, you're coming back to work here? That's great," he replied. "I'm mean...it's sad you're not a Division Head, but I can't wait work with you."

"I'm not a girl," Samuel said as he watched the man leave the level. Geez, did he even LOOK like a girl?

Melanie half laughed, it must be awkward for him to meet her. And she completely understood that, it was awkward for her as well.

"Well never mind me, just tell me what to do, and I'm at your service!" she promptly sat on the empty desk behind her, folded her hands under her chin and looked at him with a smile.

Samuel walked over to the desk Melanie was sitting at, then he sat himself on the edge of it. That was much better, because now he could at least have a proper conversation with the woman and not be a few desks away.

"There's really nothing much to do at the moment," he responded. He kinda wished there was something to do, so they wouldn't be sitting around being bored. "So, if you don't mind me asking, why did you stop being a Division Head? Was this place too crazy for you to handle?" He asked. This place was crazy. That wasn't a lie.

Melanie looked around, the place looked rather calm indeed. She smiled a little awkwardly at him, why did she stop being a Division Head? " Well the place WAS wild, I mean, live LEGOS strolling down the corridor? " she laughed just remembering it " but I got divorced, so my personal life kinda got in the way, than I missed the QC.. which was a big nonono, since I had been working so hard for it..." she rubbed the side of her face " ... I decided it was best not to get in the way of the department and just step back for a while.. it's fine, I bet you're doing great now!" she said with a encouraging smile

Calla walked into the office looking extremely tired. She hadn't slept well last night and there was just no hiding it. She already had stopped off and got her a cup of coffee, hopefully that would help.

"'morning" She muttered as she made her way to the desk. She didn't make any acknowledgements of anyone in particular. She slumped in to her chair and placed her mug of coffee at her lips again taking a large drink. "ouch" Apparently that coffee is hot.

She opened the files on her desk and began to look through them.

Gavin was about in the same condition as Calla, after the ackward evening they had both had with Ryan and such. Having nothing of his own at the cottage, he had made a quick stop at his own apartment before heading into work, causing him to arrive a short time after his other half. He stepped through the door to the office, nodding a greeting to those he passed.

"I see you beat me to the coffee," he replied quietly as he neared her, having thought to check on things before offering to get them both some.

She heard the door open but didn't look up. Calla mindlessly reached for her mug and another sip - hopefully not as hot this time. As the cup reached her lips she heard Gavin.

"Oh, yes. I usually don't drink it, but umm after last night I don't think there's a choice." She giggled and took another sip of the strong black drink.

She wanted to tell him thanks for staying with her last night, but thought it might be inappropriate - given they are at work and all.

Calla choose not to remember Ryan coming by, but only the part when Gavin was there. She honestly wouldn’t mind if he stayed there all the time. Little did she know he had other plans for permanent residence.

She smiled and reflected a moment. This was truly the happiest she had been in a long time.

She stifled a yawn. “Oh it’s much too early for that. Hopefully it’ll be slow around here. I don’t think I have that much brain power to offer." She looked around making sure no one was in ear shot and spoke in a quieter voice "Do you wanna come over for dinner tonight? She let out a weak smile.

"Yes I can see that causing some need for it," Gavin replied still hoping it wasn't because of his presense but as she giggled, he relaxed and walked to his desk. The location still close enough they could talk quietly and undisturbed for the most part which was a good thing at times. They could be close enough but still apart and each able to work alone without distraction.

He chalked up the discomfort all to Ryan, the man still proving to be a pain despite tryng to change and appologize. Hopefully as time wore on that would change for the better...well one could only hope.

"That would be a godsend for once in this office," he replied in agreement as he set himself down in his own chair. Gavin bit back his own yawn as the action threatened to grow contagious. He couldn't help smiling softly at her question to keep anyone else unaware. "Yes I think I would like that," he answered back quietly.

Samuel's eyes widened at the mention of live LEGOs on this level. That would probably be every kid's dream to see live LEGOs walking around, because he personally would of liked that when he was a young boy. Though, thinking more and more about it, that must have been hectic for the level. "That's...interesting," he finally commented. That's really all he could say about that.

He stayed quiet as he listened to Melanie talked about getting a divorce and then missing the Quidditch World Cup. "I'm sorry to hear that," he responded. "I don't know what it's like going through a divorce since I've never been married, but I can imagine it being harsh on one's life. I'm also sorry to hear you missed the Qudditch Cup especially after working so hard on it!" He rubbed the back of his neck as he took a nice looked around the office. "Mel...do you mind if I call you that? Anyways, if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here," he added. "I'm not particularly good at giving advice, but I can't try my best." He gave her a little smile. He WAS a Division Head after all and it felt like he needed to be there for his employees.

When Calla and Gavin both entered the office, he gave them a little wave as he greeted them, "Hey guys!"

Melanie chuckled, it was a bit overwhelming, the idea of live LEGOS.

"Sure" she said, answering to his question about calling her Mel " you can call me Mel... Sam?" she said with a smile. " I appreciate it, but I think I don't really need to talk about it, but if I do, I'll remember your offer!" she stretched her arms and took her cloak off, laying it on the back of her chair.
She noticed Calla and Gavin entering, they looked tired. She made a shifty look towards Calla smiled. Love.

Calla smiled and waved. She stiffled yawned once more "Hi y'all."

"Yea it would be wondeful if it stayed quiet for a while." When he agreed to dinner her heart skipped a beat. What to make? Her mind started buzzing with possiblities. This definatley perked her up a little bit.

She sat back in her chair and thought a moment taking a large drink of her coffee (that had cooled down quite a bit), "Mmm what about beef stew?"

Gavin followed Calla's gaze hearing the verbal greeting of their division head, spotting Melanie with him. "Good morning," he greeted back with a polite smile before turning his attention back to Calla and the work that was situated on his desk from the previous day. Briefly pausing to remove his glasses from where he kept them and slipping them on.

Hearing the suggestion he looked back up from reading a file name, nodding in reply. "Sounds good," he answered, always enjoying the woman's cooking and it wouldn't have really mattered what she had suggested for the meal.

Samuel grinned. "You can call me Sam if you want to," he told her. Mel and Sam. HA! Three letter names RULE. He nodded his head, fully understanding where she was coming from about probably not wanting to talk about it. It was kinda like him with all his family problems. He didn't really like talking about it that much. "I think I'm going to go get some coffee from the cafeteria since I'm thirsty," he addressed Mel as well as everyone else in the room. "I'll see you all in a little bit." Finally moving away from Mel's desk, he picked up his coffee cup from his own desk before heading out of the office.

Melanie nodded in agreement with Sam and watched him walking away.

She sighed, and looked at Calla and Gavin, they looked good together, that made her smile. Since there seemed to be nothing to do there, she got up "I'll be right back" she said to them and walked out as well.

With dinner settled she put her nose back into the file. After a while she saw Sam leave and a short time after that she waved Mel off.

Glancing at the time (and her empty cup of coffee) she realized she would not make it with out more coffee.

She stood with a big stretch and yawn, grabbed her mug and went through the door.

Samuel headed into his office with Wes trailing somewhere behind him. He walked straight towards the bright pink neon desk, then he placed one hand on the edge of it as he waited for Wes to enter the office. It was a shame that Lima had ruined his desk. Of all the colors in the universe, she had to chose PINK? He would feel much more comfortable sitting behind a yellow desk than pink.

Wes followed Sam into the office, and he was not really prepared for the ZOMG!PINK desk that was in front of him. "WOW," he muttered, blinking and staring at the desk in awe. "That...is a VERY pink desk."

"So...how exactly did this happen?" he asked, pulling out his wand. Yuckkkkk it hurt his eyes to look at it too long!

Samuel looked towards Wes when he entered the office and stayed quiet to let the man stared at awe at the desk for a few moments. But when Wes asked how this had happened, he opened and closed his mouth a couple times before saying, "You see, Wes, it's a very interesting story." At least, it will be when he figured out how to explain it all without him looking like the bad guy that provoked the crazy Whiggawhat.

The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to leave out the first part of the story and skip to the part where Lima came into his office, but he knew that that wasn't going to work out. Blaming Lima on all of it seemed like such a good idea and all, but...

"Whigga... AHEM. I mean Lima and I were just having a little conversation, but she was really hormonal this morning for some reason. I thought I could cheer her up by brightening up her room by turning her desk orange. And, well, that didn't help at all. She went completely bazonkers and left her office to come in here," he explained. "You can see what Lima had done while she was in here. And, might I add, she stole my Shakespeare action figure...and hasn't given it back yet." She was a lunatic AND a stealer.

He was going to leave the part of where he went back and turned her desk permanently orange for later.

Blink blink.

WHAT kind of people had Cobbleman HIRED around here? They were running around, playing with action figures and transfiguring Ministry property...sighhhh. He should have been expecting this, he supposed--after all this WAS level 3. They had a lot of wackos around here.

"Are you sure she knows it was just to cheer her up? Maybe she thought that by changing the color of her desk, you were attacking her or something," he said, taking out his wand and turning it in his fingers a few times, trying to figure out a good counter charm for this.
