Teal looked to Violet with a wary expression, his dark hair was starting to grey just a smidge, but he refused to blame it on his kid and the stress of his work. “I will.” He assured her.

The time passed and the ‘thing’ with Jack Lockhart had been resolved, and just as he was about to call Violet back into his office, some one he had never seen stormed in. An Augurey, they weren’t dangerous… that was obvious. Teal eyed the man with his steely blue eyes, “First of all, Augurey’s are very timid and shy creatures, the chances of finding one in a Wizard’s dwelling is slim to none.” Taking a sip of his coffee, he then continued on. “And if you do find one in your house… just call the Ministry, we’ll take care of it.” Amateurs handling fragile creatures was not something Teal liked to think about. Not to mention that they predict rain… Teal thought that in his mind, but he didn’t bother with informing.

THEN, another memo flew through the room and zoomed around, eventually landing on his desk. He read through it carefully. He had almost forgotten that it was time for the elections, and Teal wondered who Coopers advesary would be? Shrugging slightly in his mind, he stowed the letter making a mental note to pay a visit to her office after his talk with Violet.

Looking back to the man that asked about the Augurey, Teal took a sip of his coffee. “Anything else?” He asked dully, as he set the cup back down on his desk.

"Well one of the perple in my division has a nAugurey in his house. Can you take care of it?" Set asked. He gave the man a slip of parchment with contact info on it, then he left.

Georgia Mayes Clickety Clacked to her new Boss's office. Being made Division Head was call for a new outfit. Clearly the Anastasia Bunbury years of her life were coming out in her.

Mostly it was call for new shoes, and she was quite pleased with her shiny red high heals in contrast with her sharp black and white pinstripe suit. She felt very Devil Wears Prada, recalling the ancient piece of literature she'd found in her brother's reading lists, and the idea pleased her, after all, first impressions are lasting impressions, so it was a good day to bother tieing her hair up in a sleek knot. Yes, Annie would approve. Edmund had not. And George had not cared.

Clickity Clack, Clickity Clack.

She paused an the doorway, with her ever-present coffee in hand. Bother to knock? She wondered.

Though she wouldn't admit it under any kind of torture, she wanted to see how far she could push the envelope. She pushed open the door without ceremony.

"Mr. Andrus!" she announced herself in a rare (and therefore foreboding) cheerful voice, "I hope I'm not interrupting, I'm your new Division Head, I thought I'd come introduce myself!"

The quill of Teal Andrus was flying across a certain debrief as his own office door came busting open. What in Merlin’s name?. So maybe he was expecting a knock, but the fact that the woman that was now before him didn’t knock wasn’t too unsettling, he wasn’t the person to get mad about that kind of stuff. Not mad at all.

Consequently enough, he looked from the woman’s face to the file on his desk. Even before she could say it, he had recognized her as his new Being Division Head, coming over from Cobblesten’s Department. She seemed cheery enough, very enthusiastic; these were all good signs. It was no doubt that Jack Lockharts’ reputation was going to be a hard one to look up to. But maybe she fit the part perfectly.

“No, not at all.” He said with a forced smile (it had been a long day). “Georgia Mayes, correct?” He asked a bit blandly. “It’s nice to have you. Please, have a seat.” Teal said, gesturing towards the chairs in front of his desk. “Can I get you any coffee, butterbeer? I think I might even have an old glass of firewhiskey in the back of the fridge if that’s what you like.” He said, turning his head in the fridges direction, “Just don’t tell Cooper.” He said with a guilty laugh, not that the man would care.

Well that was no fun. Thought George, determined not to pout as she sunk into her seat. How can I test my lim- wait a second.

"It's George," she said in a clipped and final way that expressed that the matter was not negotiable. She struggled to bring her tone back up, "So I guess you were not quite correct. I'll have a coffee. I've just finished mine." George was the type who required coffee to function, required it to have the patience not to curse people for doing dirty rotten things like smiling too much.

She leaned over onto her New Boss's table and drummed her fingers. She hoped it was annoying. "So... Andrus, Teal Andrus, she read off the nameplate. Can I call you Teal?"

Let the answer be no, let the answer be no.

How George, with her insubordinate tendencies ever got promoted will be forever beyond her. Must be her organized nature. And her scariness.

George? Teal honestly preferred Georgia but whatever floated this woman’s boat what was what he was going to have to go with… oh well. Her short, somewhat waspish tone really didn’t bother the Level Four Department Head, he had dealt much worse and a very similar personality in which was in his ex-wife. And merlin that woman was a piece of work. He grabbed the coffee pot as he eyed the woman with a brow slightly raised, and continued to pour the contents into a mug for the woman.

The drumming of her fingers was unsettling; what was wrong with this broad? Too much coffee perhaps? “Sure, call me whatever you want as long as you keep it civil in front of my face” He said gruffly in his deep voice, then taking a sip from his own coffee mug.

“Anyways, back to you. I just finished reading your file, and your experience with Creatures is great. What were you doing over in Accidents and Catastrophes anyways?” Teal sneaked a quick glance down at his watch, hopefully Cy wasn’t torturing the poor House Elf already.

"Keeping a roof over my head." George stood and took accepted her mug from Teal. Different name, but good. It sort of suited him. George sized him up. He was taller than she was, built stronger, but not 'Will KRUSH you' stronger. Black hair, blue eyes, George vaguely wondered if he was Irish, Andrus could be Irish. And some beard growth... laid back type. Ivan was WAY more fun to annoy.

"Besides it suited me way better than being a bartender, that's for very certain. But I like Creatures better than people so when I heard I could move over here, and my last Division Head had gone a little bit AWOL, I high-tailed it out of there."

Never mind that Ed had pretty much thrown his last fit about the moral and ethical issues of erasing Muggle's memories, and how can he trust her, yadda yadda yadda. Cops. George was still trying to make her marriage work, so transferring out of such an inflammatory Department into something she might actually enjoy was probably for the best anyway. None of this was something she intended to share at work though. If it weren't for the ring on her finger she's show no signs of a personal life at all. But taking it off, even for work was NOT allowed - Gospel According to Inspector Edmund Carlyle.

Violet slumped down in her seat a little. She pushed herself back up and checked her watch. She glanced over at Teal's door, wondering what in Merlin's beard could be taking so long. She watched a few people come and go, and her gaze wandered all around the level.

Teal pressed his lips together and nodded in agreement, the roof over the head was usually quite important. Unless you were someone like Scarlett Lillian, she could probably live in a volcano.

Well, George seemed to have a bit of a strong personality, but these type of people did generally make good employee’s. So what if she wasn’t a people’s person? Teal didn’t care, as long she didn’t go out of her way to disrespect him, because Teal was quite the accomplished and respectable man. “I’m glad you made the change then, you’re here just in time. According to this bloody file that came in this morning,” Teal picked up a file off his desk and raised it in the air, “The Goblins are starting to rebel over at Gringotts.” Taking a sip of his coffee, Teal suddenly thought of poor Violet Silvermoon who had been sitting outside his office for quite awhile now.

He hated to cut the meeting short, but he’d catch up with the broad later… if she was even the type that enjoyed ‘catching up’. “But we’ll go over that with everyone else in Goblin Liaison later today, I have someone waiting for me outside.” He said gruffly, taking another quick, small sip from his coffee. “Go ahead and read up on this.” He said, sliding the file across his desk to George, “Shouldn’t take too long.”

Taking a look at his watch, Teal furrowed his brow. “’Glad to have you in service George.” Teal said with a wry, smug grin. “And could you tell the woman that’s waiting outside to come on in for me?”

George was just about to try and see what his reaction to her perching on his desk when he was giving her the Bum's Rush out of the office. She didn't care for that at all. She caught filed that slid across his desk, snapping it up in one quick motion and peeking into it. Interesting.

Well I'm keeping my coffee in any c- HEY! I am NOT 'in service!'

"'In service' makes me sound like a public toilet. I'm not part of the scenery, Teal. I work here. I work hard. I am good at what I do." George's eyes flashed dangerously. "I'll head to the Goblin Liason Office as soon as I've read this thoroughly. In the meantime I'll be in the Cafeteria having some solid food with my caffeine. Should you care to join me as I meet my new employees, catching myself up should only take about half and hour and I'll be back on the Fourth Floor."

Clickity Clack, Clickity Clack.

With her file tucked under her arm and her coffee in hand like a life preserver George clicked and clacked her way to the door.

Whoosh! The door swung open and from it emerged George, still well put together, but for the scowl on her face. She glanced around and spotted the little witch waiting for their boss.

"You must be waiting for Teal," she remarked, one eyebrow raised. "Our fearless leader will see you now."

With not so much as a 'Nice to meet you,' or a 'Good luck,' George Clickity Clacked to the Elevator.

The woman’s features seemed to cross as a scowl washed across her face. Maybe something he said was inappropriate, seemed like most things offended her… awesome. Teal shook his head a few times as she went off lecturing him, where was her sense of respect. “I know that George, I wouldn’t have hired you if I’d have thought any different.” He said with a bit of a tired wink as he downed the rest of his coffee mug.

So the beastly red head was going to go catch up with other employees, that was a bit of a scary thought. Teal smiled inside his mind as a blank expression stayed on his face, he liked this woman to be honest… no matter how hardcore she might be. “Then I will talk to you in a few hours.” Teal said flatly, as she got up from her seat. “Have a good day.” He said, his classic wry smile playing in his lips. She didn’t seem like the type that had good days, well, good days according to Teal.

While waiting for Violet to enter his Office, Teal refilled his mug with a replenishing charm.

Violet lifted her head off her hands and sat up straight as someone came out of Teal's office. She noticed that the woman did not look happy. Violet smoothed down her skirt and stared back at the woman. "Yes, that would me me," she said smoothly, with a touch of defiance. "Thank you," she added, standing up. "Er, I'm..." She trailed off as the woman turned and walked away. Violet raised an eyebrow at her back. Merlin, she thought. Violet shrugged it off and walked into Teal's office. She smiled and sat down.

"So," she said, "You said you wanted to talk to me?"

Teal smiled as Violet acknowledged they he needed to speak to her, because he definitely did. “Ah, yes.” He said smugly as she took a seat in the chair; if he was thinking correctly, he had some great news for her.

“The past few years I have seen you become, and continue to be, one of the hardest working and most talented employee’s in the Beast Division.” He said, nodding his head respectfully before going on. “Now, as you may have noticed, James Randall has recently retired from his post as Beast Division Head.”

Oh, the suspense was on. Teal paused for a moment, took a sip of his coffee, and continued. “Naturally, I want to put the best person possible in that empty position. Which is why I am offering you position of Beast Division Head.” He said, sitting back in his chair, grinning ever so slightly.

Violet inclined her head as he said she was one of the most hardworking employees. "Thank you very much," she said. She nodded at his next comment, growing more curious. What did James Randall's resignation have anything to do with her? She smoothed back a stray hunk of hair. tucking it back into her bun, and waited patiently for Teal's next words.

Her eyebrows shot straight up, revealing her surprise, but she somehow managed to keep her composure. "You...believe that I am the most qualified for the job?" she asked, hardly daring to believe it herself. She grinned widely. "I would be honored to accept," she said, excitement bubbling up inside of her. "Thank you so much, Teal!" This was truly a dream come true for Violet.

Teal smiled at his employee’s response, seemed like she took the news quite well. Smiling in appreciation, he gave Violet a professional nod. “No no, thank you Violet.” He said, grabbing a folder off of his desk.

“I’m looking forward to seeing you handle it all.” He said, offering a very official looking emerald green folder to her. The golden writing stated CONFIDENTIAL. “This is a collection of all the confidential matters that are in relation to the beast division. We usually don’t disclose this to regular employee’s.” He said, again with a professional disclosure. “So please read it up, and keep it safe.” He said stealing a gaze at his watch.

He had to get going, Teal was running late as it was. He had to go visit Cooper, and Brennen wasn’t one to appreciate poor puncture. “Ok, sorry to have to cut it so short Violet, but I have a meeting with the Ministry that I have to get to.” He said, with a bit of a annoyed look on his face. “I’ll come by and find you here in a few hours, I’m afraid we have a few other things to talk about.” He said, wry smile on his face. Would she take Coopers’ side, or Reagans?

Violet looked at the folder in his hands. CONFIDENTIAL...she stared at the word, then took the folder and looked up. "I suppose you're welcome, then," she said with a smile. "I won't let you down!" Violet nodded. "Of course. I'll keep it safe under all my other files. No one will find it at the bottom of a drawer."

She nodded again. "Very well. I'll probably be reading this all afternoon." She held up the folder with a wry smile.

New location and a new interesting job in hand. Brian just halted in front of the level Four department head's office door with Becca. He could hear some voices behind the door. "I think he's busy, but we should take a chance, " he said to her as gently knocked the door, waiting for the positive or rough or strict..whatever.. response.

Rebecca smiled as she watched Brian "Take a chance?" she asked confusedly, was Teal scary? She stared at the door waiting for it to open.

Just moments after Violet had left, there was yet another knock at Teals door. He looked up with a bit of a jump. Sighing slightly, Teal took a quick swig from his coffee mug. “Come on in.” He said in his gruff voice, welcoming all the same.

Rebecca opened the door and then recoiled and moved so she was stood behind Brian as she saw and smelt the coffee, the room stank of it, she shook her head at Brian silently as she felt ill again, she hated having to meet with people who were drinking coffee at the time, she turned to the corridor and took a breath of fresh air, much better, she put a hand to her face, feeling embarrassed because she couldn't handle the smell or even drink coffee. She waited for Brian to enter first "I can't go in there, I feel ill" she admitted "It stinks of coffee" she explained.

Brian laughed, "No..not scary," he paused, put a hand arond her shoulder, squeezing gently, "Well..i dont know, I never ever met him," he said before he heard teh acceptance tone from inside the office. "Come on..let's go.." he took her hand as he entered the room.

Behind the table there was a pretty serious looking man, sitting and drinking coffee. Uh..ho! Brian's face turned to Becca automatically, since he knew that she doesn't like coffee. "Still you want to come in? Or just stick behind me, my brand of perfume will make something better.." he whispered to her with a small chuckle, turning his gaze to Mr. Teal.

"Hello, Mr. Teal, I'm Brian Lee, department head of Secuirty and Maintenance, and she's Ms. Rebecca Todd, division head of Law Enforcement, " he intoruduced themselves properly to him as he stretch out his hand to him.

"Err... I'll stay behind you for as long as possible" she told him quietly "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Andrus" Rebecca smiled, formalities were good with people you didn't know, she stayed close to Brian and still managed to keep the feeling that she was clever and independent at the same time. A remarkable feat for someone who was feeling sick.

Teal raised an eyebrow as the two people came in, the girl seemed to be offended of something, or perhaps scared of Teal himself? Why? He was generally a nice guy… when he tried to be.

He nodded at the introductions, and give the two a professional smile. What were they here for? “It’s a pleasure, Mr Lee…” Teal tilted his head to get a better view of the somewhat hidden Ms. Todd, “And Ms. Todd.” He said, nodding. “Is there anything I can help you with?” Surely they wanted something.

Hopefully this was level four and Abigail had not gotten lost. She probably would have gotten lost if it was at all possible. But somehow, she had not, for the door in front of which she stopped said Teal Andrus. Good--she was in the right place. Taking a deep breath, the woman reached out and knocked lightly on the door. Here went nothing.

Rebecca tried to keep herself composed as she went even paler "Becky" she corrected Teal "Well, I'll let Brian explain" she told him as she leaned her head on Brian's shoulder, trying not to be sick in Teal's office was hard, she estimated she could stay another ten minutes before she passed out.
