Violet nodded. "It worries me a little," she admitted. "I don't want a good company to be defamed by imposters. And, the centaurs may not believe that story, most of us are the same to them." She bit her lip, thinking Teal's word over. "I agree with you that getting back to her is important." Teal's next words shocked her a little. She had of course known that she would be going on a mission, but she had forgotten it would be so soon. "I don't think the centaurs will attack us, but if they do, we will try to resolve the conflict without hurting them," she agreed. "The Dark wizards...Hmm...They might be a problem," she agreed, smiling a little. "Definitely, we need to bring some Aurors. And now that I think of it, I haven't had a chance to talk to James Randall yet. Someone should probably tell him that he's going on a mission into the forest." She couldn't believe it had slipped her mind! "Well, we should get an idea of that once we get back to Ms. Laurent," said Violet. "She will be able to tell us everything she knows."

AJ sighed and knocked on the all-too-familiar door. Once being granted entrance she smiled and pushed open the door. "Hey there Teal! How are you liking the thrown?" she asked, looking around, "I see you got most of the mess I left you cleaned up," she said, talking about the little pile of paperwork that she had remembered not finishing.

"Anyways," she said, sitting down, "Obviously I didn't just come here to see how everything is going because obviously everything is going great," she said, casting her former employee a smile. "I came here asking for a job, actually." she said kinda shyly and a bit embarrassed.

Teal nodded, he didn't want that to befall Ollivanders either. "I agree, that wouldn't be fair." he said with a nod, thinking back to when he was just a little kid, walking in to buy his first wand at that very store. Teal pressed his lips together tightly as Violet said she didn't think the centaurs would attack her, she must not know the centaurs in this forest so well. "Hmm, I wouldn't put it past them. They're leader is very fierce and war stucken. In an instable time like this, it wouldn't be out of his character to attack a group of intruding wizards." Teal took a weary sip from his mug, and listened to the rest of what Violet had to say.

Yes, he really agreed with the whole rest of it. "Agreed, I don't know what has happened to Mr. Randall but he was supposed to be in my office yesterday and I never heard from him." He said with a frown, "Oh well, I'll track him down soon enough." he said with a wink. His mind shifting the the International Wizarding Conferences, he sighed. Those were starting today, and the word through the grapevine was that some of the Ministers were already arriving. "Alright, well, I believe the International Conferences with the foriegn Ministers will be commencing within the next few days. I'd like to have you with me when we are discussing issues regarding the Centaur Liaison Office." he said with a nod, "I'll memo you when it's our turn." Teal nodded and wrote something down on his paper. "Alright well I'll let you get back to your work now while I finish up some paperwork. Thanks Violet." he added with a sincere smile, he deeply appreciated all the hard work she put in.

Only moments after Violet had left, there was yet another knock at his door. Merlin, busy job these days, he thought to himself as he sneaked a quick swig from his coffee cup. Once the person had entered, Teal's eyes nearly popped out of his head once he saw who it was. Aricca Silverstone, his predecessor of his very own position. She was indeed an amazing Department Head, and did so many great things for the Ministry. Teal couldn't help but feel that he was sitting in her chair, in her office. "Aricca!" he exclaiming in amazement, throwing his hands in the air exitedly. A huge grin stretched across his face, it was a joy to see the her once again. Sighing in response to her question, Teal shrugged. "It's not easy at all." he admitted, "But it's nice, a lot more exciting." Teal gave her a small grin as she mentioned that he had managed to finish things up. "I wouldn't call it a mess, Aricca, I've been trying to live up to your legacy, more like it." he said with a wink, taking another sip from his coffee.

Teal nodded as she sat down, and couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride as she noted that everything was going great. She was here for something else, that was obvious. She hadn't been around in months, and he didn't even know what she was off doing. Had to be something extremely important, of course. Then she asked the questioned, she was asking him for a job. It felt slightly awkward, to have your former boss ask you for a job. Teal gave here the kindest of smiles and nodded. "Oh, I see." he said with a nod. "First of all, it's great to have you back Aricca. Everyone here in the Department will agree with me when I say we missed you." he said with a wink. "And secondly, what kind of job are you looking for?" he asked, with a brow slightly raised. "We both know you are more than capable of handling any of the divisions with perfection." he said with a smile, "Any preferences?" Teal added, hoping that there wouldn't be any tension.

Violet nodded too. "And it isn't just Ollivander's, it's alll the wand shops. We don't want anyone to ruin their reputation." She tilted her head the the side and considered what Teal said about the centaurs possibly attacking them. "well, that is not god news," she said finally. "But we will try to keep peace as much as possible," she promised.

She shrugged. "He works in my department, but I haven't seen him for days. I don't know what's happened to him either." She smiled as he winked at her. She nodded vigorously when he spoke of the Wizarding Conferences meeting. "Of course, I'll be there," she promised. "I'll be waiting for the memo. This is the most important thing right now," she agreed. Dismissed, she stood up. "Very well. Thank you, Teal," she said sincerely. She turned and walked out, her mind already on the conferences.

AJ blushed a little, looking down, "Tea-, Mr. Andrus," she said with a slight joke in her voice, "You are FAR to kind, good sir," she said with a laugh, and looked up once more to the man she had had such a hard time placing in the right division. "Well thank you, Teal, it's great to be back." After thinking for a moment, she sighed, "Well I'm not sure, perhaps something that is understaffed at the moment or... Or I could always just fill your position again," she suggested, shrugging.

Teal seemed way more... professional, at this job than she ever had been, and he had certainly stepped up to the plate nicely, a bit... too nicely in her opinion. Perhaps that was why she had had so much trouble placing the man in a division, was that he was always destined to be the Department Head, and a Divison position just wasn't good enough for him. Nodding once more, AJ replied, "Really Teal, it's no matter. But if you had something fun and exciting, well that would be wonderful," she said and waited to see what he would reply with her wonky antics.

Teal shook his head with a small smile as Aricca called him Mr. Andrus, he didn’t say anything though because she knew she said in good fun. Listening to her thoughts as where to place her, Teals mind was racing. How could you possibly place a person like Aricca in a specific office? She was good at everything, he’d seen her resume, it was beyond impressive. She mentioned refilling his old position, Disposal of Dangerous Creatures. Teal wasn’t going to joke with himself, that Department really had been drowning ever since he left. Then again there were places like House Elf Relocation which needed an extra push, along with the unstable Spirit Division.

Rubbing his chin for just a moment, he glanced up to her. “Ok, here are some options.” Teal said with a small smile. “You could take a post in House Elf Relocation or Spirit Division, if you want.” Teal paused for a moment, as he pulled out a chart of his levels productivity. “Or, as you suggested, you could fill in Disposal of Dangerous Creatures.” Teal said with a nod, he knew that people help so many prejudices to that position. “I know Disposal is a controversial area. But I want someone in there that knows how to handle the Creatures and they’re verdicts, like you. Not just someone that is a bit, knife happy. Per se.” Teal finished and took a swig of his coffee. He felt okay with that office at the moment, but he didn’t know anyone in that Office like he did Aricca. “I’m leaving it up to you.” he said with a shrug, his eyes widened as he heard a knock on his door. Great, Teal sighed as he looked up beyond Aricca to the door.

Teal smiled vaguely as the woman, Julie Griffin, stated why she was here. Ah yes, he was supposed to be suspected someone of that sort during the day sometime. Teal looked to Aricca apologetically, “One sec.” he said with a smile. He’d actually rather have her in the room first hand anyways, getting her input after she finished would be nice.

Looking back up to the Liaison, Teal nodded. “Oh no, go right ahead Ms. Griffin. Is there anything I can help you with?” Teal asked, taking out a black piece of parchment and a quill incase he needed to write anything down.

Julie smiled slightly, the department head was not nearly as scary in person as she had imagined. Of course, she should have known better, her imagination was always getting the best of her. She now mentally reproached herself for having been so timid. She needed to show that she could be assertive. Pushing her thoughts aside she said, "Yes, there is something. I was sent to get a status report on the Being/Spirit division. I suppose you would be the one to talk to about that?"

Teal looked to Ms. Griffin and sighed, turning around to his filing cabinet. He hated status reports like no other, seemed almost pointless to man. “Yes I am.” Teal exclaimed with a faded smile in her asking if he was the man to see. Finally finding the right files oh so creatively labeled ‘Being’ and ‘Spirit’, respectively, he turned around to face Ms. Griffin and laid them on his desk.

Opening them up, Teal looked though all the papers finding the key points. “It’s been going pretty well.” He mused, finally finding the paper concerning the House Elf scandal. “The house elves roaming the Ministry have finally been but in order. And we’ve managed to get their rebellion under control in London.” Teal turned the page, “As for Goblins, they are still being stingy about wand control but they’re fine for now.” He added with a yawn.

Now opening up the Spirit Division folder, Teal scanned through it until he landed on the Faeries. “Everything is efficient in the Spirit Division as well. Except the Faerie societies are becoming very unstable again. We are keeping an eye on it though.” Teal said with a finish not and stacked the two folders together. Making sure they were in line, Teal offered them to Ms. Griffin. “I think that just about covers it. You can take these back to your Head for a reverence.” Teal gave the Liaison a small smile and took another sip of his coffee. Turning to Aricca, he gave the previous Department Head an apologetic smile as he waiting for Ms. Griffin to respond.

"Thank you Mr. Andrus," Julie said "I'll get these to my Head right away." Nodding to the Mr. Andrus and the others in the room, she took her leave.

Violet paused in front of the large emerald door. She knocked three times and waited for a response. She didn't know if she would get one, though; Violet could not remember if the door was soundproofed or not. She was getting a little nervous about the upcoming mission. She could not find James, her Division Head, to talk to him about it, so as far as she knew he was still in the dark about it. And she wanted to talk to someone.

Teal nodded to Ms. Griffin and exited the room and groaned lightly as the door was shut. “Sorry about that.” He said with a small shrug to Aricca, as he took another sip of his coffee. Getting back out the folders he had out previously, he looked back up to the previous Department Head. “Alright, so as I was saying—“, he began, but then there was another knock at the door. Teal sighed slightly, knowing it best to see what was going on.

Giving another apologetic look to Aricca, Teal looked to the big emerald door. “Come in.” he said gruffly, shuffling a few papers on his desk as he did so.

Violet pushed the door open and looked inside. When she saw that Teal was already talking to someone, she gave an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, did I come at a bad time? I can come back later, if that's better for you," she offered. She knew that what she had to say was not of utmost importance, she just wanted someone to talk to about the conferences, and she didn't want to interfere with more important things.

Teal smiled when he saw who had come in, it was none other that Violet Silvermoon. Extremely talented, very hard worker, Teal nodded to her company. "Oh no it's fine now, have a seat." Teal motioned to the seat next to Aricca, surely Violet remember her? Aricca was both of their previous Department Head. Perhaps Violet had been hired after Aricca resigned, the last few months had been so blurry that Teal was unsure. "What's the deal here?" He asked professionally, blue eyes gleaming.

Violet smiled in relief. "Thanks," she said. She let the door close behind her with a gentle thump and sat in the seat that Teal indicated. She glanced over at the other woman. She seemed very familiar. Violet thought about it for a second and then remembered that Aricca had been in charge of that meeting way back when. She smiled in recognition and turned back to Teal.
"I wanted to talk to you about the upcoming mission about the wand-trees and the centaurs. I haven't been able to find James Randall to talk to him, and I don't think he even knows about it yet..." She trailed off to wait for Teal's response. "I hope this isn't too inconvenient, but as the mission is soon, I am beginning to get a little nervous about it," she admitted.

"Teal! Teal!" Lorraine exclaimed, quickly knocking and opening the door of the Magical Creatures Department Head. She had just come from a fabulous little meeting with the shopkeeper at Florean's, where together they thought of the most awesome idea to celebrate Christmas at Diagon Alley with the shopkeepers and department heads. Surely Teal would just love to join in the fun.

Spotting the handsome lad at his desk, Lorraine held out the charmed box for him to see. "I've got the greatest news! And I know you're just going to die of love at this. I've just discussed with the woman at Florean's Ice Cream, Bella, and we've planned out a wonderful idea to celebrate Christmas at Diagon Alley. We've decided to do a Secret Santa, and we'd like to ask you to join in on all the fun."

Setting the charmed box down on Teal's desk, she patted it lovingly with her hand. "In this box, we've placed the names of every Ministry Department Head and each and every Diagon Alley Shopkeeper and Assistant," Lorraine explained. "The box was charmed so that when you tap your wand on the box and say 'Accio!', a certain name designated just for you will shoot from the box and land in your hands. Remember not to tell anyone whose name you drew - not even me! All you have to do at that point is buy a gift for that person and somehow get it delivered to them without knowing who sent it - they'll need to guess! Won't that be fun?!" Lorraine's hazel eyes twinkled with delight.

"Now, if you decide to participate, we'll have a little party at Florean Fortescue's on December 19 (OOC: December 19-21 anytime is the roleplay). You can come bringing your favorite party foods and drinks, and we'll see if anyone has been able to figure out their Secret Santa!" Lorraine continued. "So, now then. Would you like to participate? If you would, tap your wand once upon this little box, say the correct incantation, and your name will just pop right on out of there! Go on...give it a try!"

Teal smiled as Violet sat down, she was right, they really needed to get on top of these problems with the centaurs, soon. Reaching into a drawer in his desk he pulled out file that had ‘Centaur Liaison’ written on the front in Teal’s scratchy writing. “It’s quite alright Violet.” Teal said with a wry smile, laying the file on his desk. “I agree, we need to get this worked out and head into the Dark Forest as soon as possible. I owled Randall a few days ago, he’s aware of the situation and should be coming in to help us out.” Teal said with a mock confident nod, he better be, Teal darkly thought to himself. Those centaurs weren’t getting any more pleasant the further they waited; quite the opposite really.

Just as he was about to continue further, there was yet another knock at the door, followed by a woman yelling his name. Teal smiled from ear to ear, he knew that voice from a mile away. Lorraine Brothmeister, quite frankly the love of his live, came bursting into his office with something in hand. Once she’d explained everything and laid the box on his desk, Teal laughed when she mentioned who’d thought of this. “Bella, from Floreans?” Teal shook his head, that woman was always spacing out and always seemed to be quite absent minded. “I didn’t know that woman was capable of putting a big idea like this together.” Shrugging slightly, Teal took out his wand.

Grinning mildly as he looked down to the box, he tapped it once while muttering “Accio.” To his amuzement, a tiny piece of paper flew out and landed in his open hand. Reading the name, Teal smirked. “I know exactly what to get.” He gave Lorraine a crooked smile as he crumpled up his piece of paper and threw it across the room into the trashcan; he didn’t miss. “Thanks Lorraine.” He said, eyes twinkling. Ever since Florean’s he had been dying to kiss her again. But in his office, at work, in front of his past Department Head and employee? Not a good idea.

Giving a small smile to Aricca and Violet, Teal looked back up to Lorraine. “Alright then, that’s it right?” He asked, quite sure that, that was all secret santa took. “We were just going to have a quick meeting about a mission we are about to enforce. But I’ll memo you when I finish up around here.” Teal winked to her as he set his wand on his desk. Should be interesting, this whole Secret Santa thing.

Lorraine's cheeks flushed sheepishly as she looked around and noticed quite the gathering in Teal's office, which she had not noticed before. Feeling slightly guilty for her immediate onset of speech, she waited to see what his reaction would be. But immediately, he laughed at the idea of Bella putting together the idea. "Yes, Teal. Bella from Florean's," she repeated, rolling her eyes slightly impatiently. Men could be so thick sometimes. "Well, you do know that she did have my help too, and wasn't alone in organizing," she through a casual wink at him, sticking her tongue out.

Nonetheless, she grinned weakly when he removed his wand and cast the incantation, whilst seeming quite pleased with the name he drew. "Excellent. I'll see you in a wee--" But she paused suddenly at the look on his face. The look of hunger and thirst; for her lips. Biting her lower lip nervously, Lorraine felt her cheeks growing warmer until he spoke business.

"Yea, that's it. Thanks Teal." She nodded, picking up the charmed box and holding it between her right arm and resting just above her him. Memo her? "Oh. That's no problem . . . I er, will let you get back to your meeting then. Sorry for intruding. Uhh... bye." Before she could embarrass herself further with her inability to speak clearly, she turned on her heel and made to leave the office. Besides, it wasn't as if Teal's office was the last office to visit.

Violet smiled in relief. "Thanks." The mission had been driving her mad with worry ever since she realized a few days ago that it was so close. "Oh, so he knows? That's good. Do you know who else will be going?" Then Violet noticed how he said that James should be coming in to help us out. "Are you going to go, too, or are you going to be too busy?" she asked. Initially, she thought, Hadn't Teal said he wouldn't be going? She was probably just remembering it wrong, but it couldn't hurt to ask. And now, if ever, was the time to ask questions. Violet was sure that the centaurs were not being exactly patient about having to wait so long for help.

Violet twisted around in her seat to see who the newcomer was. She didn't recognize the woman. I really need to get to know more people here, she thought, and put it to the back of her mind to think about later. As she litened to what the other woman was saying, a small smile spread across Violet's face. A Secret Santa party! She was sure all the Department Heads would have a lot of fun!

"Sir?" Kasandra had come straight from the holding room, up to his office. Better to do this quickly and get it done with. "I have those eggs done with." Kasandra peeked her head into the door, holding the sheet with the dragon species written on.

Samantha knocked on the door of the Department Head's Office. "Teal, are you there," she called. "I have a visitor here with me from Hogwarts, Miss Rachel Rider. Rachel is the niece of my employee, Jake Rider, and she is here taking a tour of the Ministry to share with her fellow students at Hogwarts. That's why she's getting the full tour!" Samantha took a breath. "Rachel, this is Mr. Teal Andrus, and we're in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." Samantha anticipated that Rachel would have lots of questions on that.

And I think the Auror offices will be joining us as well if there are Dark Wizards behind this; as I’m sure there are.” Sighing, Teal read a document on his table for a brief moment and looked back up to Violet. “Yeah, I do think I am going to be able to go. The problem was my son, I didn’t think I was going to be able to find someone for him to stay with. But, that’s all been solved now.” Teal gave Violet a wary smile, it had been a very long day. “I think I am going to set the date for next Monday after the Conferences have concluded. Moving a team out right now would not be easy, especially since our conference starts in a few hours.” Teal looked at his watch, it definitely was closing in.

Looking up as another voice flooded the room, Teal nodded as Kasandra entered the room. “Great. What where the specs on the eggs?” He figured it would have been quite straightforward with her, not too tough of a job. The nurturing was going to be what was difficult. “And where is Pablo?” Teal shrugged, maybe he was still in the holding room.

Samantha knocked on the door of the Department Head's Office. "Teal, are you there," she called. "I have a visitor here with me from Hogwarts, Miss Rachel Rider. Teal furrowed his brow as there was another knock at his door. He always forgot how busy things got around this time of year. He snuck in a quick drink from his mug and nodded in recognition to Samantha Rose from education as she walked in. “Hello Samantha.” He said with a grin, noted the young girl that followed in behind her. “Great! Always makes me happy to see students up here. Nice to meet you Miss Rider.” He figured in the work place it would be proper to address her professionally so she could get a feel for the Ministry as it truly was. “Are there any questions I can answer for you?” He said smugly, he was sure there were.

"Pablo was right behind me. He must have gotten side tracked. I am sure her will show in a few minutes." Kasandra looked quickly behind her to make sure if Pablo was behind her or not, but instead saw two people unknown to her. A woman, and a student aged child. Kass smiled kindly at both of them.

But there was business she wanted to get finished first. Kass looked down at her writing scribbled all over a piece of paper. "The green and brown one is most obviously a Common Welsh Green. The Cement one is a Hungarian horntail, and the black egg is a Norwegian Ridgeback." Kass looked down at her list. She still could not think of what it was on her walk here, and back in the holding room Pablo did not either. "Neither of us knew what the purple one was though. I am assuming it is a mix breed. I've never seen a purple egg before."
