The Magical Security Desk, where visitors to the Ministry check-in. The desk is made of dark, shiny wood. A complex device is placed on top of it. It is used for weighing wands. Beside the device is a small machine that prints out wand reciepts.

Only members of the Magical Security Office are allowed behind the desk. Guests to the Ministry of Magic, please step up and state your reason for visiting.

OOC: Do not Role-Play for a worker at the Security Desk. We will respond to your character and help them with their check-in, but it may take a little time. Please be patient.

"Ok if you please calm down and I will inform the Head of this Department right away and she will decide if we should unless. If you could please follow me I will take you to the Head's office and talk to her about this emergency." Wyatt told the man leading him behind the counter to follow him to the Department Head's Office.

Nathan was perfectly calm as far as he was aware. “Thanks, mate.” he said with a nod and followed the fella behind the counter towards the Head of Department’s office. This was all delaying him - he wanted to get out there and help the search party. But at least they would have some help from security with this… hopefully.

Lauren saw that something had happened with the house elves.. she quickly asked if there was anything she could do to help. "Is there anything I can do?"

Richard looking in to the security desk drawers looked up sharply over the desk. "Muggle children and house elves? Thats...well I would say impossible but obviously. Any idea what direction they headed in or was it side-along apparition Nathan?" he asked swiftly as he straightened up wand held in his hand.

Nathan looked back at the other man and the young woman. “They apparated. We suspect they may have headed towards level four. That’s where the Magical Creature’s Department is based.” He replied, pleased that someone was actually taking some notice at last and not looking at him like he was mental - this was really serious. He extended his muddy hand towards the man and then the woman. “Nathan Greenwood. Any help would be very much appreciated.” He nodded at them both in turn before following the other man to the Head of Department's office.

"No problem Nathan, I thought, I recognised you, tend to meet alot of people down here in the atrium. Richard Blake by the way. Well at least they've only apparated to a different part of the ministry, if they had left then I Merlin knows what we'd do" Richard replied shaking Nathan's hand as they walked.

“Nice to meet you, mate.” Nathan replied as the man released his hand. He nodded at Richard's words. “There’s no sign of them down here. My colleagues are busy searching the upper levels. I need to speak to your head and then I’ll be joining them. Level four seems like the most likely place they would be.”

“If you really want to help, it may be an idea to head there and help them in their search, and I’ll follow as soon as I can.” Nathan suggested.

Delilah slipped back behind the Magical Security Desk, a few identical pieces of bright green parchment in her left hand. Slipping her wand out with her other hand, the Department Head magically sealed one of them to the desk, so her Security Workers were sure to see it.

Richard returned to the security desk after an elf search upstairs. He saw the note attached to the desk and made a mental note. He set off again to do another search and patrol of the ministry.

Alec Dumond was dressed in a chocolate brown suit and was wearing a set of black work robes; he departed the golden set of lift doors and walked across the Atrium to the security desk. He came to the desk and halted. He addressed the officer at the desk.

"Good Morning,
I'm here to submit my application for a job at the Ministry and I'll be across in the Employment office. Can I have a visitor's pass?"

Edward glanced at the gentleman peering at him.

He stuck his hand out. "Your wand please." This was one of the things that made the job a bit tedious. Why they had to weigh the wands of applicants Edward had difficulty fathoming. He understood the threat to security for allowing armed wizards about without checking, but it was still tedious.

Richard watched as the man had his wand weighed. "Good luck with the job" he said, "hope to have you on board". He turned to Edward while leaning back on the desk with his arms crossed. "So how are things? Been busy?"

Edward shrugged. "Not really. I've been here and there, but since the minister's wedding, everything calmed down."

Edward returned the wand and gave brief directions to the man bbefore handing him a visitor's badge.

Wyatt came out to the Security Desk and put a bell on the desk when rang it would notify Security of someone that needs help. Next to the bell Wyatt put a sign.

Egypt got the urgent message from the Minister himself and she sprang out of her chair. She snatched her wand off her desk and went quickly from her office, stopping by the security desk to get some to help if she needed. "Mr. Potter please follow me." She said swiftly heading toward the lifts.

Richard sat at the desk putting appointment papers into different envelopes. He scribbled a signature at the top of one of them. He nodded at an employee passing.

A dishevled looking man approached the security desk. His dark hair combed, but with ill-placed strands here and there which fell over his large and expressive brow. His deep set eyes casted a lowered look of desperation as he clutched a small leather bound journal full of parchment and leaflets.

"Excuse me?", he said, speaking to the Security Officer, but in a voice scarcely above a whisper. "Excuse me!", he piped up louder in his distress, which up until that point, he had been trying to hide...albeit, not very well. Calming himself, he went on, "I need to speak with someone from your Department of Mysteries."

"Please?".

Ah, that was using manners.

Egypt poked her head out of her office when she heard someone shouting. What was going on? She walked over to the security desk. Whoever was on duty wasn't there. "Yes can I help you?" she asked holding on to her wand. "The department of mysteries?" She asked shocked. "Sir I am afraid you can't just walk in here and ask to speak to an Unspeakable." She explained.

Egypt gripped her wand tighter, this man did not look like he was playing with a full deck. She took a few steps back and planted her feet in case she had to fire a spell off at him or something. She smiled and tried to calm him. "Sir, I am afraid you can't go down there. Its off limits " She said softly. "Maybe if you tell me the information I can pass it along." She saw him clutching a book closer to his body like he was scared she was going to take it from him.
