Through a frosted glass door behind the security desk in the Atrium lies a few offices. Down a short hallway and to your left lies the office for the Security Division Head. Continue down the hallway and at the very end is a blue and yellow door with round glass cut outs.

Egypt Greenwood

Department Head for Maintenance and Security

Is the nameplate stuck to the door. Walking into the office your feet are massages by the blue plush carpet under your feet. One expansive wall is covered from top to bottom with books of varying subjects, and on the other there are pictures of her family. Her husband and children can be seen running in and out of most of them. In the center of the room is a round Lucite desk with a blue chair behind.

Egypt's door is always open to her employees and co-worker. She is not big on ceremonies like knocking. Just be respectful if someone else is already inside. If Mrs. Greenwood is not in her office feel free to have a seat on the couch in front of her desk and help yourself to the chocolates on her desk and wait. Or leave her a nice little note and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

It was late, and Attica was very tired. Her lengthy red hair had long since escaped from its kerchief and portions of it were straggling merrily around her face like a bonfire, while others were doing their best to become part of the skin on her forehead. She pulled a handkerchief from the butt pocket of her coveralls and wiped futilely at the sweat on her face.

As she walked down the corridor on her way to the atrium, she noticed the door of the maintenance office was wide open. Having neglected to greet the new occupant, she stopped at the doorway and snuck a look inside. Piles of books and photographs met the woman's eyes as she scanned the room approvingly. She took a step inside the room.

Egypt looked up from her spot on the floor where she was retrieving a stray M&M, she tossed it into the rubbish bin as she looked at the new comer in her office. She was wearing plain blue robes today. She had to mental stop herself from dressing as extravagantly as she had when she was a judge. It would seem silly to have to sort out spot on the floor somewhere wearing Jimmy Choo stilettos.

She gave the woman a bright smile as she straightened up and walked around her desk to greet her properly. "Hello." She said holding out her hand. "Egypt Greenwood."

Attica took a quick look at the woman who had just stood up from crawling around on the carpet and grinned broadly. 'Well,' she thought to herself, 'at least I don't have to worry about cleaning up after her.'

The woman was certainly stunning, and Attica could see that she was probably extremely good at whatever she tried to accomplish. Attica liked that in a person and had a feeling that she would get along with her new boss splendidly.

She walked over to the petit woman, and shook her hand firmly, feeling slightly awkward for towering over her boss. "Hello. My name is Attica L'Agneau. I am very pleased to meet you, Egypt."

Egypt was acutely aware that her tiny statue could hardly measure up to a man, but it was a strange feeling for a woman to tower over her. "Well now I know who to call when I can't reach the top shelf." It gave her a bit of a giggle.

"That is certainly a beautiful name. Where are you from if you don't mind me prying." She said with a smile as she motioned for Attica to sit down on the couch. She sat in the chair opposite the couch so her and Attica could chat as old friends and not boss lady and minion. Egypt hated that and she knew how that sort of thing made people feel. "Is this just a social visit or did you need my help with something?" She asked.

Edward had been sitting at his desk when he heard voices outside. He was interested when he came into the office today and his office not only was different, it was a single office in a hallway. It wasn't huge, but he didn't need a grand office anyways.

It was a guys office. It had the perfunctory inbox, where daily reports were laid. It had an outbox, which hardly ever distrubed the dust (he liked to take them to the recipient directly as it gave him a chance to leave the office.)

His carpet was gray and his desk was metal. He was more interested in function than form and so his office was a bit desolate.

Proudly hanging from the wall was a photo of his graduation and his newly minted diploma from the University of Reading.

Other than that, all one saw was a coat tree and two chairs facing his desk.

Having heard the voices, he got up, walked to his new bosse's office and waited to introduce himself.

Egypt looked up form her seat and her conversation with Attica, and noticed someone else at her door. Well this was turning into a very good day. She had two visitors. She stood up from her seat. "Excuse me Attica," She said to her as she walked over to her new visitor. "Egypt Greenwood," She said holding out her hand. Then she noticed who she was speaking to. "Oh Mr. Lennox," She said putting her hand over her heart. "It is my pleasure to finally meet you." She gushed.

Edward was about to extend his hand with a smile until she withdrew it. Then his grin turned into a smile and a blush as he gae a slight nod and said, "The pleasure is mine ma'am." He was surprised by her seeming excitement to meet him and the formality of Mr. Lennox wasn't very nice sounding. "Please, call me Edward."

He gave a slight nod to the young lady also in the office.

She blushed at leaving him hanging on the handshake, "Ok Edward, well call me Egypt please." She told him. She wasn't one for the Mr. and Mrs. but she didn't know how others reacted to being called outside of their titles. "So are you here to just pay me a visit or do you need help with something?" She asked brightly as she walked back into the office.

Edward smiled at her blush and re-extended his hand. "Egypt, it is a pleasure to meet you." She seemed like she would be quite easy to work with and he was excited about the chance.

"No, I just thought I would pop in and introduce myself properly, without you having to come to my office."

She smiled and took his hand properly giving him a strong shake. Nathan told her men appreciated a strong handshake from a woman. "That is a very nice thing to say Edward. Thank you." She liked him already he seemed laid back and easy enough to get along with.

"Oh Edward I wouldn't have minded at all coming to your office. You just didn't give me a chance." She told him with a slight giggle. "I must say that I am flattered that you would pop in to say hello to me." She walked over to her desk and reached for her tin of chocolates. "Would you care for one before you dash off to work?" She asked gently.

I would l like to see more rounds added to the security detail. We had a few incidents with escaped creatures and rebellious elves and I am sad to say security wasn't around." She told him sadly. It really pained her to have to say something negative to anyone, but this was a job and sometimes you had to say them. "It is over and done with now of course so no use crying over spilled milk. Its just something for us to strive to improve next time." She told him with a smile.

Wyatt heard talking down the hallway so he looked out of the little office that he was in while he was typing up a report that he had received earlier. He decided to wait until he was done typing up the report so then that he does not have to do again. After Wyatt was done with that he went to the Security Desk and grabbed the poker on which every visitors wand check was put on and he put an empty one out there. When he returned to his office He took his time tom make sure that he typed down every one that had visited the Ministry and filed them so then that he did not have to do it at the end of the day. Seeing as he had nothing else to do he went back and put a bell on the desk in case no one was at the desk at the time the person who needed assistance could ring the bell so that either himself or one of the other Security Officials could help the person. He had returned and he decided to drop in by the Head of the Department to introduce himself. He walked in and saw Edward already talking to the Head and he said to Edward "Hello, Edward. I have already typed and filed all of the visitors that had come to the Ministry today. Also I put a bell on the desk for the visitors to ring in case we are busy at the time so we know that they are there." Wyatt then looked back at the Head and introduced himself to her "Hello. Wyatt Potter. Security."

Edward nodded as she spoke of the trait. "Yes it is." He was grateful for the kind words, but they were usually also accompnied by words which would indicate things would need to be tightened up.

"I'll certainly look into changing the way our rounds are conducted. It is difficult to know when things will pop up, but I'll be sure we are more vigilant." He returned her smile and looked forward to working with her.

She smiled at the newcomer, it was nice to know that her employees didn't feel threatened by her at all that they were free to come to her office anytime. "Hello Mr. Potter. Call me Egypt please." she said to him warmly. "I see you are on top of things, I like that." She told him with a nod.

Alec had made his way to the Eighth Level, he had located the office of the Department Head; he opened the frosted glass door and saw Ms. Greenwood talking to two personnel. He introduced himself, flashing his identity parchment
"Alec Dumond, Minister's Office; I have some information regarding the visits of the Foreign Ministers."

After taking a seat, Alec got to the point.
"Right, in preparation for the visit. The Minister would like the Ministry cleaned and polished on each level, excluding Level Nine. The main focus of the cleaning should be the Courtrooms.

Also, he requires the gift shop to be stocked up with quite expensive and fancy souvenirs. Hopes are that these will be sold to the amount of people entering the Ministry during the visit.

Finally, we are to set the weather, climate and scenery of each country on each floor. The countries are; Bulgaria, France, USA, Australia, India, Japan, China, Norway and Peru. The Minister wants a listing developed for each country and the setting for their climate, accuracy and quality are required here. Do not include Level Nine or Level Ten in this listing as Level Nine shan't be used and Level Ten will be decided for the courtrooms as the conference gets closer. We'll have to wait for confirmation from higher command about the corridor to the courtooms, I'll secure that for you.

And that's it according to my notes" said Alec, looking up from his folder.

Wyatt nodded and quickly went back to his office as he had more matters to tend to. When he left he closed the door behind him so that Egypt and Mr. Dumond may talk in private.

She had a quick quote quill going the entire time he was talking. She nodded at regular intervals absorbing all that he was saying. "Ok are we to pick any region of these countries? I mean the United States goes from a freezing tundra to blistering deserts." then she thought about it for a minute. "I think I can find some nice weather patterns." She said more to herself than Alec.

"I think I have everything else down. We have already begun the cleaning. I heard about the convention from Mr. Wordsmith on level 2." She admitted. "Thank you Mr. Dumond for coming to see me." She told him with a smile.

"Good". replied Alec; "Now, if you'll excuse me I have to get down to the Creatures Department to relay some more information. Thank You for your time". And with that Alec stood up and departed the office.

"Of yes of course." She said brightly as she watch. "Good day to you Mrs. Dumond." She looked over the parchment to make sure her quick quotes quill had taken down all the important notes. She walked over to her bookshelves and books a few books down to do some research on the countries she was given.

Alexa hadn't had trouble finding Egypt's new office. The gorgeous blue carpet looked appealingly comfortable. The door was partly closed and Egypt seemed to be doing some research. Alexa had convinced herself it was a friendly visit, to congratulate Egypt on her promotion. She knocked politely and stepped inside

Edward sat at his desk and prepared the weekly reports. It wasn't his favorite work, he preferred to be out and about, but he just sat there and pressed on. He was comforted knowing that time ticked on until he was able to see Si this evening.
