As you get about half way down the hall on the left is a room that doesn't have a division sign next to it. On the actually door to the room is a note with the words "Attention" written in big bold letters. The rest of the note read:

The conference room is under lock and key. If you need the room, please request to Miss Bass the time, date. and how long you need the room. Thanks.

Evaline walked into the conference room once again and went to her usual position. She poured herself a cup of tea and waited for her two divison heads and Lizeth to come along with Lorraine and her three employees.

She wanted to make this meeting short and quick so they could all do other preperations for the conference coming up. She took a sip of her lemon tea as she waited for people to enter through the door.

On time for once, Enrico strolled into the conference center with a cup of coffee in one hand and a few pieces of parchment in the other.

"Hello, Evaline," he said quietly, nodding to the boss as he took a seat to her right. He shuffled his papers in order and then leaned back in his chair, waiting for the rest of the peoples to arrive. No one could accuse him of being unprepared this time.

Katie walked into the room, scribbling words onto a piece of paper. A frown was apparent on her face. Sitting down gracefully to Rico's right, she paused her work and looked up, trying to smile the least bit and ending up successful. "Rico, Evaline, lovely to see you both again." She said, still adding small notes to her parchment. A bit of frustration was boiling inside of her. She tried to get help from her division like she was supposed to, but the issue stood that nobody from the Office of Law attended the meeting she had set up. Katherine was in on this alone, doing last minute work. Lizzeth would be here soon, that was one thing she was grateful for.

Lizeth walked once more into the conference room. "Hello everyone." She said with a smile. So far her day had been great and she couldn't see how it could go bad. Sitting down, she pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill so she could take notes.

Madison made her way into the conference room once more. Everything had been extremely busy since she had left and she was more than thankful for the work that was passed her way. She made sure to bring the notes she had taken before along with her own that she had came up with. She took a seat closest to where everyone was sitting.

Tonya Anne walked into the conference room and walked to an empty seat near Madison. "Hello Rico." she said as she walked past. "I told you I'd see you around." she added witha quick wink. She took a seat near Madison. She smiled and brushed a hair out of her eyes, "Hello again Madison." she said to her new co worker.

Madison turned her head to see Tonya had made it to the conference. "Oh! I'm so glad you made it here," she whispered knowing that the meeting had not started yet. "I'm sorry we couldn't spend more time on things. I feel awful that I had to run through the notes so fast."

She was the type of person who wanted to gather every bit of information from all sides and weigh the pros and cons, then make her decision. But once she made up her mind, it was hard to convince her to change her mind.

Rico had just closed his eyes for a wink ~~because he would never, ever try to squeeze in a nap before a very important meeting~~ when more people started arriving.

"Hello Katie," he said with a smile, sitting up in his chair to take a sip of his coffee. He'd need that to stay alert just now.

"Hi and hi," Rico greeted the next two women who came in. "And hey, Tonya, you were right. Starting the new job already, I see." He winked at his former employee and watched her take a seat next to one of the women from the Transportation department. Geez, with all these ladies here, a guy could start to think that the Minister only hires women....Rico thought to himself, twiddling his thumbs as he waited for the meeting to begin. Too bad I already know Cooper doesn't do of the real work around here....

Madison looked from Tonya to the one who she was speaking too, the one that also said 'hi' as she walked into the room. She gave a nod of her head in his direction realizing that his name must be Rico, since that was the name everyone was using. It was either that or they just called him Rico for the fun of it. She didn't speak for the only fact that everyone else was speaking to him as well. She didn't want to ruin someone's conversation over a simple word of 'hi'.

Tonya smiled at Madi, "It's ok I'm a pick up on things fast." she said to her, "Thank you for running through them with me." Tonya turned back to Rico, "Of course." she said with a giggle. "Oh and this is Madison Myers the assistant to the head of department of magical transportation." she added turning to Madison, "Madison This is Enrico Serio the division head for magical trading stradards."

"Miss Myers, it's a pleasure to meet you," Rico said with his usual winning smile. He would have gotten up to shake her hand but the meeting should be starting soon and he didn't want to cause too much commotion.

"And as Tonya," he almost called her Ms. Springs again, "mentioned, I was head of the trading standards division but I'm also representing the British Seats here as well....or at least until we get a replacement for my old job." Rico was a little bit excited to switch divisions and couldn't help mentioning it - even if his 'two jobs' did require a lot more work these days.

"Anyways, I look forward to working with both of you for this Conference thing," he added, still smiling brightly at the two Transportation employees.

Madison smile at Rico as Tonya introduced them to each other. "Pleasure to meet you as well, Mr. Serio," she said noticing the brightly shining smile that he presented. She then listened as he stated that he used to be a Department Head but was now a member of the British Seats. Impressive. Hopefully with the turn out that came out to this meeting, Madison hoped they would get a little further than the last one.

"I look forward to working with you and Tonya as well," she smiled once again as she placed her hands in her lap to wait for the meeting to begin.

Evaline saw as all her employees entered and she was pleased and also one of her former employees as well. She smiled at them and nodded at Madison as well. She wondered where Lorraine was, but she figured she get started.

"Right. Well great to see the returning people and also all the new happy faces." she began hoping they would get quiet as she spoke. "Well so during our break I was informed we had to choose a side so that is what we are here to do." she stated.

She looked around at all of them and then replied. "I know I asked all of you to gether data on this matter about the opinions and I want you to tell me your reportings one at a time and I'll talley up what we have."

Nodding his head slightly, Rico showed Madison that he'd heard her but he didn't say anything. Evaline was starting the meeting.

And no one was saying anything. As usual. Uhhhhh...guess I'll start. He ruffled through his papers to find the one outlining his divisions' thoughts on the matter and then he stood up to speak.

"Okaaaaay, well, I had four employees respond to my request for opinions," Rico began. "Two were for the legalization of magic carpets and two were against it. Some of the concerns brought up included the safety and unpredictability of carpets, especially since we already have several other more legal and reliable methods of travel....like floo powder, apparation, portkeys, etc."

He paused and selected a different sheet of parchment. "The two employees that supported the legalization of carpets pointed out that many other nations successfully allow them...so why not Britain? And if legalized, we could place certain restrictions on the height they can fly and only allow natural-colored carpets to maintain a level of secrecy for our wizard-kind."

There, they were all represented fairly. Now for his opinion. "I, however, do not support the legalization of magic carpets as I know from my former job at the American ministry that the skys are much, much harder to regulate than brooms or portkeys," he paused to glance at the two ladies from level six and then continued. "I'm sure our Ministry has enough work as it is with the forms of transportation we have and I can't honestly see the need or demand for carpets here. As nice as it would be to have a 'family vehicle,' Floo Powder seems to work just as well, if not better.

"Britian has managed long enough without magic carpet trade and I don't think we really need to start trading now. It would just...complicate things hugely for my division and if there isn't a need for the trade, why bother?" He shrugged and then took a seat. "That's my piece." Rico had done his research, he had done his work, and now he could hopefully relax while the others presented their opinions. The sooner this meeting was over, the better.

Lizeth listened intently to the person speaking, taking notes. She was hoping to divide them between pros and cons, and it was a pretty balanced list so far.

Katherine nodded in agreement, she, alike Rico, disagreed on the legalization of magical carpets. Her quill was down on the table, and her parchment sat on her lap.

Evaline listened as Rico went over his date he collected and she divided the board into Pro and Against and wrote down the marks for each. So far 3 were against and 2 not. Then Katie also agreed with Rico and so she put another mark.

"Ok. Well so far its 4 for Against and 3, including me, for Pro" she announced and added one more mark to the Pro side. She looked at the rest. "Anyone else want to voice their opinions before we decide on the verdict?" she asked.

They needed to wrap this up quickly.

(ooc: Guys sorry to do this but at 12am CST I have to close this meeting down and write the proposal. Which ever side we have the most votes for if thats all we have gotten is the side I'm choosing so please say something now or forever hold your peace.

Evaline nodded at the last two and took down their votes. "Right well that about does it. It seems we are against the carpets and I will put that as our stance." she replied and wrapped up the meeting. "See you guys when India comes." she said dismissively.

Lizethsmiled to Evaline as she walked out. This meeting had been very short and to the point, the way she liked meetings to be. The long drawn out ones just made life not as fun.

Katie stood up and smiled. That meeting had be simple. They just said their opinion, and off they went, already chosen. Nodding to Evaline, she walked out of the room.

Madison stood up feeling a bit defeated at the moment. It would have been nice to have the magical carpets around, but now it was time to concentrate on the guests arriving soon. She picked up her things, gave a small but forced smile and headed out the door.

Evaline made her way to the conference room, and unlocked it with her key. She stepped in and switched on the lights. This room hadn't been used in ages and now it was going to have most of the department in it.

As she walked along to her seat, she put down her notes and sighed. She had been prepared to talk about what could happen with the French Ministry, but now she had to talk about what did happen. Overnight, drastic measures had been changed in the French Ministry's policy about the English Ministry and it was not in good favor.

She waited for the rest of her employees to come to lay out the full details.

Enrico strolled into the conference room, carrying a cup of hot black coffee as usual. He wasn't surprised that he was early; after all, he had learned his lesson after their first meeting. Ms. Bass did not like tardiness.

"Hello Evaline," he greeted the boss, slipping into a seat to her right. "How are you?" The question seemed appropriate, considering the fiasco of the Conference. Rico knew no one in this Department was going to be getting much sleep now that they had a mess to clean up...
