Forrester made his way through the ways of Diagon alley, they were running late and the thief was going to hit really soon. He was happy that he was working with one of the best man in the country on this. On the edge of the bank, he looked behind him and noticed his small aurors, MLES and HitWizards group. Nicoli was standing in front of him.
"Nicoli have you notified the goblins?" Forrester asked.

Warren walked behind Forrester staying as far away as possible from Alexa. He looked over and saw Nathan beside him he whispered, "How come I have a feeling this is a trap? That he wants us to come down here knowing that we'd send the best we have." He shook his head uneasily and let his gaze wander amongst the people in the crowd looking for anything suspicious as he headed toward Gringotts.

If Warren's suspicions were correct, then why in Merlin's Magical Mystery Tour was Nathan here? He could hardly be classed as one of the best. It was probably just fluke that he had been asked to come along... or lack of staff ... or maybe the Aurors planned on using him as bait again. He wouldn't put it past them.

He nodded at Warren's comment however. “It seems very suspicious.” he whispered and glanced over at Forrester and Nicoli. “And we look a little suspicious... all standing here like bloody lemons. You'd think they would want us to at least try to look inconspicuous.”

Alexa looked around at the bank. She had an uneasy feeling about it all, like she didn't know everything she was supposed to. But it was simple really. They were stopping a thief entering and robbing the biggest and most important bank in the British Wizarding World. She bit her lip, her fingers resting on her wand. She noticed Warren and Nathan if possible further away than they'd been in the office. She smiled to herself. She just needed a distraction....something to get her mind of everything-this mission was perfect.

Warren nodded and looked at the people and back toward Forrester with his hand in his pocket fingering his wand. "Tell me about it, we all look like sitting ducks here and I don't feel comfortable." He glanced at Alexa and at the people she passed. His hand tight on his wand in case he spotted trouble. He kept his gaze scanning among the crowd as he continued to walk.

Elwood nodded at Warren's words. He did feel a wee bit uneasy about the situation, Elwood panned his head around the room, looking for something out of the ordinary.

Cassie followed everyone into the bank and listened as Warren and Nathan, they did have a point and with them all holding onto their wands it wasn't hard to tell that they are from the ministry. She looked around for anyone suspicious, trying not to draw attention to herself that she was indeed an auror on a mission. She kept sneaking glances to Forrester and waited to hear what they were supposed to do.

“Are your spidey..” -he coughed back a laugh- “er ..Auror senses a tingling, mate?” he asked trying to keep a straight face. Oh to be a muggle nerd. Nathan always felt the need to be stupid at the most inappropriate of times.

He spotted Alexa, Cassandra and Elwood and and gave them a friendly smile. He took a look at the group wondering where Apha and Amelia had got to.

Warren laughed, "Yea, something like that, mate. It just doesn't feel right." He looked around and saw Cassandra following along looking as uneasy as he felt. He looked at Forrester hoping that he knew what he was doing.

A little old lady stepped stepped out of the doorway calling over her shoulder "Thank you dearies!" she stopped to adjust her spectacles and realised she wasn't wearing them.

Patting her lavender dress and reaching into the pockets of the cream coloured coat she wore, the old lady could be heard mumbling to herself, "Now where...well I hope those Goblins didn't take my specs...in my day goblins were much more reliable and not prone to spec taking..."

She continued patting at her self frantically; not seeming to realise her spectacles were, quite naturally, perched on the top of her puffy - almost pink hair.

She noticed eventually that there were several out of place seeming people hanging around. Peering at them she crained her neck to try to make up for her apparent blindness without her missing spectacles; causing said specs to be dislodged from her head and wind up on her nose where they belonged. She let out an exclamation of surprise and her eyes widened twinkling slightly behind the thick glass of her lenses.

"Well I say!" she began mumbling to herself, "Who loiters around a bank? I don't know what this world is coming to, in my day if one was caught loitering outside of a bank they would be arrested and sent straight to Azkaban! Loitering with intent! Thats what it is!"

She began to shuffle away. Not looking where she was going, the old lady crashed into one of the crooked pillars holding up the bank entrance way, sending her tumbling to the ground; her bag open and her things strewn about her.

Nathan was watching the little old lady with a look of slightly amused interest on his face. He was about to open his mouth and point out to her that her specs were indeed on top of her head when they fell onto her face.

He looked at Warren as she started rambling about Azkaban. “She has a fair point.” he mumbled as he watched her start to shuffle away. ...And walked straight crash bang into a pillar and fell to the ground! 'Ouch!' The poor old dear. He dashed over to help her up.

“You alright there love? Nothing hurt?” he asked her. He scooted down to collect up her bag and belongings for her.

From her position on the ground, the old lady peered up at the man, smiling widely as he helped her up.

"Oh I'm made of stern stuff young man, no need to worry about that. I've been all over the world and here I am still going strong." a slight glint appeared in the little old lady's eyes. "But thank you dearie!" She clinged onto his arm and took her bag back from him.

"What are you all staring at!" she turned suddenly and barked at the other people standing around. "None of you whelps heard of a good samaritan before?"

She stumbled again against the helpful young man, taking his wristwatch and slipping something into his pocket in a smooth and unseen motion.


"Scallywags! The lot of you!" She raised her fist and shook it before letting go of the very helpful young man. "Such a gentleman."

she wandered off, still mumbling under her breath about scallywags and how things were different in her day.

Forrester at an old lady that was shouting and there he noticed it. She had stole Nathan's wristwatch and had placed something in his pockert.
"CATCH HER!" Shouted Forrester as he ran in Nathan's direction but before he could reach her or any of the aurors, MLES or Hitwizards catch up with Forrester order the old woman had disappeared.
"Nathan mate... I think you just lost your watch but at least now we have a new clue" Forrester said as he slipped his hand in Nathan's left pocket and drew an envelop. "A new calling card... Return to the ministry everyone I will check with the goblins if anything was ever stolen from there volts... I want a report on my desk when I'm back" Forrester ordered as he placed the clue in his pocket and tapped it with his wand. I wonder what it means this time, he thought as he entered Gringott's bank leaving his employees outside ready to apparate back at the ministry.

He smiled at the old woman. She certainly was made of stern stuff. “Alright love.” he said with a nod and handed her bag back to her.

She stumbled into him again and he helped her regain her balance. “Mind your step there.” he said kindly and watched her wander off down the street. “Interesting character.” he smirked and shook his head slightly as she yelled at his colleagues on her way past.


“Wha?” Nathan said in rather a gormless fashion as Forrester shouted to catch the old lady. Had he gone mental? He had to repress a smirk when this little slow old dear managed to escape the clutches of a group of 'the best' Law Department employees.

He looked down at his wrist when Forrester told him his watch had been stollen. “Dammit! Outwitted by an old woman.” How bloody embarrassing. This kind of thing seemed to happen every time Nathan tried to help someone in need.

“Ah ah” he said as Forrester tried to go in his pocket resisting the temptation to slap his bosses hand away. Really who would go there? He pulled out the note himself “That crafty little bugger.” he said as he studied the card before passing it to Forrester.

Elwood jumped when Forrester shouted, but they lost her in the crowd before they got too close. He looked around, his hand falling casually to his pants pocket, checking for his wallet, it was still there.

Alexa had almost begun to walk over to the woman when Nathan helped her up, she smiled softly at her and then looked back at the bank. Forrester's shouting alerted her. She l begun to run stopping at she saw her disappear into the crowd. She groaned in frustration, thinking of how awkward the scene would be back at HQ. She walked over to Nathan, wanting to prolong the time before torture.
"Are you fine Nathan?" She asked him, ignoring Warren totally.

He noticed the blanking of Warren again. Just great. This was going to be a repeat of earlier. Nathan decided the best course of action would be to play dumb, pretend he was completely oblivious to it.

Smiling warmly at Alexa, he gave her a one armed hug. “Ah hello love.” he said cheerfully “I'm grand. Aside from being outwitted by an old woman and having my watch stolen.” Nathan was surprisingly upbeat considering prior events. “And how are you? Feeling any better than earlier?”

Warren watched as the old woman came out of the bank and immediately his nerves went up. This is not right. He watched to see what would happen and saw Nathan help her and then Forrester yelling as she left. Blighted idiot! He glanced at Nathan and ran after the lady but she had disappeared. Coming back he stood by Nathan and sighed, "Smooth one mate". He chuckled and looked around. His good humour quickly dwindled as he saw Alexa walk up and talk to Nathan. He didn't say anything to her but turned and walked over to Cassandra, "Great. Just bloody great. Now we have another clue to sort out."

Alexa laughed, warmly. Suprisingly cheerful despite her mood earlier.
"I'm sure she would've offered you a lollypop" She said, sarcastically a smile to show she was joking.
"Me? I'll be fine." She waived him off, gratefully
She saw Warren move towards Cassandra turning his back on the two of them and took a deep breath, smiling idly at Nathan.

He couldn't help but smirk at Warren's comment. The old woman had stolen Nathan's cheap knock-off Brazilian Rolex he had since his hippy hiatus a few years ago – he didn't much care about the thing. It was probably for best as an officer of the law not to own such a thing anyway. “She was fast on her feet.” he said and then snickered. “What an utterly surreal mission this has been so far.” he commented and scratched the back of his head in a confused manner.

As Alexa came over Warren did a cowardly runner... again. Great. Nathan resisted rolling his eyes and turned to talk to her.


He laughed. “Hey. It was my good deed for the day. A lollipop would have been a fitting payment I think... better than that nonsensical card anyway.” he teased. “But alas, instead she took my .” he shook his head in mock disappointment. Nathan knew deep down he should be taking this all very seriously but just the very fact that an old woman prone to bumping into stuff and falling down had managed to scarper from a bunch of Aurors made him want to snicker like a naughty schoolboy.

“Glad to hear it.” he replied with a smile. “The world is a duller place when Alexa Black isn't smiling.” He patted her arm gently. “You reckon we should get back to HQ or do you think we could get away with skiving off while Forrester's busy with the Goblins?” Back to HQ to write a report. What Forrester wanted a report on exactly was really confusing Nathan. Surely the man didn't want an essay on how Nathan had failed to notice an old woman robbing him. It was embarrassing enough already without having to write about it.

Elwood stood pondering the first statement Nathan had said, he had mentioned the woman's quickness, this made him have doubts that she was a woman. It could have been a 'he' transifigured to look like a woman, or a woman transfigured to look like an older woman, or either one after consuming polyjuice potion to make themselves look like someone else. He verged on saying this, but moved against it, he would say something when the time was right, or when he had evidence to say that at least one of his theories was right.

"It could've been anyone. I was just about to walk over to help her when you did" Alexa said, she knew what he was thinking.
"Hilarious. A bunch of aurors and MLES and we can't catch an old woman....which makes me think she's not old at all" Alexa stopped herself, already exaggerated theories running in her head.
She laughed, rolling her eyes.
"I'm sure it is." She said, she laughed as he went on.
"Hmm...cafeteria?" She said with a smirk. "Or.." She bit her lip, thoughtfully.
"Report?" She asked, the answer was simple. Paperwork utterly bored her, she was usually stuck in the office anyways.

He shook his head. “Oh I'm sure any one of you Aurors would have cottoned onto her straight away.”

He looked at her. “Hey, you maybe onto something there. But I think it was more down to her disappearing into the crowds than her speed.” he replied. “Course she could have taken polyjuice... but I thought the goblins had all sort of measures to stop such a security breech. Ah well... I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what Forrester comes up with.”

“It's true love. You could light up the whole of Britain with that smile. It's nice to see it back.” he winked and smirked.

“Yeah.. Cafeteria sounds good to me. I can't stomach the coffee in the break room. The paperwork can wait.”

"Side along apparition?" he asked sticking his arm out so she could link with him.

Warren watched Nathan and Alexa out of the corner of his eye with a frown. Turning back to Cassandra he said, "I'm going to go back to the office to see if I can figure something out. I'll see you there." With another glance toward Nathan he spun on the spot and apparated back to the ministry.
