| | |  Atrium / Fountain of Magical Brethren
You step into the Atrium (either from a Fireplace or from the visitors entrance), and see other wizards walking through the hall past the Fountain of Magical Brethren. The floor is polished dark wood, and the ceiling is peacock blue with golden symbols floating across it slowly.
The fountain itself is made up of a group of golden statues depicting a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin and a house-elf, all of which pour water into the surrounding pool.
The security gate can be seen at the end of the hall (OOC: Security check in is in a separate thread). | |

The question hit her like a hammer to the gut. She'd never really bothered to engage in casual convorsation. Whenever she talked to someone it was about work. She never spent much time away from the office. Why was she being so rude to him?
"I guess I forgot how to be anything but the boss lady." She stated, staring at the water that was spewing out of the Wizard's wand.

Sophie felt a chill run down her spine as she again walked along the atrium. Something was wrong, she just couldn't pick what. She eyed the Fountain again... as if to check it hadn't moved since she last looked at it.
Perhaps she was just being paranoid, but Sophie decided to forego sitting in her office to sit in the atrium. She picked a spot by the fountain where she had a good view of all the fireplaces and visitors entrance. Crossing her legs, Sophie let her foot bounce in the air as she tried to look at ease.

Elle shuffled quickly around the atrium, looking for her new boss, a woman named Sophie. Dressed in a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt and khaki pants, Elle looked casually elegant, with her long blonde hair pinned up in a bun on her head. She stopped in the middle of the hall and craned her head to see if she could see anyone who looked like the woman who was supposed to be her boss. She saw a woman sitting, looking a little bit on edge. She assumed this was her boss; the woman had a distinct air of superiority about her. As Elle approached, she could tell that the woman was pretty, but also very intimidating.
Elle stopped once she reached where Sophie was sitting and spoke.
"Hello, you must be Ms. Wolstenholme...I'm Elle Klein, your new personal assistant." Elle smiled at her and stuck out her hand. Realizing that she was sticking out a hand that was grasping a silver clipboard, she stuffed the clipboard under her opposite arm and blushed.

Estelle walked out of the cafeteria and found herself looking at the Fountain of Magical Brethren. Frowning, she walked across the crowded room. It wasn't really too crowded or anything, but she just wished there was a place in the Ministry where people could go there just for a few walks, like there were the grounds at Hogwarts. She missed Hogwarts dearly.
She as walked along, she spotted Sophie. She smiled at waved at her as someone walked up to Sophie.
After waving, Estelle turned around, thinking Sophie must be very busy, besides, she didn't know what to say to her. She started walking towards the elevators, since she knew there was no place she could go to just for a walk, it would be good if she returned to her work. | |

Yes, Sophie had nearly forgotten that she'd applied to the HR department to get a Personal Assistant and they had obviously approved her request, although the form saying this was probably buried under the rest of her paperwork in her office.
"Very nice to meet you Elle. I'm so glad you're here..." Sophie said, shaking her hand while trying to think of something to get Elle to do.
"Does the fountain look dull to you? I'm sure it needs a more thorough polishing"

"Of course, I could always shine it for you if you'd like," she said.

"Of course, I could always shine it for you if you'd like," she said. "That won't be necessary Elle, but thank you" Sophie said, smiling at her young assistant. "It's probably fine" she said offhandedly, although she still made a mental note to instruct the House Elves to give it a thorough clean.
"Can you check if the new secrecy sensors arrived? The old ones were getting a bit rusty from overuse" she asked her assistant, trying to think of the list of things she had to do today while enjoying sitting next to the fountain.
"They should be in my office if they've arrived. I'll be in the break room if you need me" Sophie said, stifling a yawn and knowing that was her body's way of telling her she needed sugar and caffeine, fast.

Romulus spun out of the floo fireplace and straight into the atrium, home of his new job. Quickly, he dusted himself off and clapped his hands once, briefly looking around to find his new boss and was dismayed to see her disappearing into the break room. He set off at a trot behind her...
