Bott's Bean Tasting TableYou never know what you are going to get with these flavourful writing challenges. Embrace the chaos, take a bite, and let the creativity flow!
Tis the season to be jolly, and here at Bertie Bott’s we are doing so by releasing a limited edition prompt list for a new SS25 ficlet challenge! This prompt list is for use through the New Year. Think of it, if you'd like, as a countdown to Christmas with the 25 prompts listed below. As a reminder, all ficlets are to be under 200 words per post. Your thread can be about one specific character, either canon or originally created, or you can do a thread of general ficlets for an array!
As this is a limited time offer, you can still participate even if you have three challenges already. Threads will be moved after the New Year to either the completed section, or the unfinished. Is this the challenge that gets you to the Hall of Fame index (perhaps a second or third time)? There might even be a special surprise for this holiday themed challenge.
How to participate? Post in the Decree of the Bean thread with your claim to complete this holiday special, and you will then be approved to create your thread. All Snitchseeker Site rules and Honeydukes Rules are still applicable and must be adhered to. Please use the SS25 prefix when creating your thread, and include Holiday (or a holiday themed word) somewhere in your title.
This July we celebrate fantasy and magic in all its wondrous forms—and at Bertie Bott's Bean Tasting Table, we're sprinkling a little extra enchantment into our SS25 challenge! We present to you a limited-edition prompt list inspired by the whimsy of fantasy and magic. With 25 prompts to guide your ficlet writing through the duration of the Celebrating Fantasy & Magic event, this challenge is for dreamers, spellcasters, and adventurers alike as each prompt invites you to explore the realms of fantasy in all their wonder and mystery.
As always, SS25 threads are made up of ficlets under 200 words each. You may focus your thread on one particular character—HP canon or original—or create a collection featuring a variety of characters and scenes. After the event ends, threads will be moved to either the completed or unfinished archive. There may or may not be a surprise in store for those who embrace the magic and complete the challenge...
To participate in this fantasy challenge, post in the Decree of the Bean thread with your claim. Once approved, you may create your thread using the SS25 prefix and a title that includes Fantasy or some other whimsical word or phrase. All SnitchSeeker rules and Honeydukes guidelines still apply.

Limited Edition Quills Days of Potter 2025 Challenge
This year for Days of Potter, we have prepared a selection of EEFD-style writing prompts to spark your creativity as a writer, whether you prefer to produce poetry, a series of ficlets, a screenplay or drama, or any other form!
To participate, select at least one quill from the list provided below (we encourage you to go wherever your creativity takes you!) and complete the prompts that are tied to it (if you pick up the Self-Inking Quill, you can mix and match any prompts that inspire you most from the other lists). Each prompt must be present somewhere in your writing; all could appear in a single post, or they can be spread out across multiple entries.
