For the past month, I've really been wanting to know who else in here watched Netflix's documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, and if so, have also watched the related music videos? :xd: I can't be the only one. So yeah, that's my one rec for quarantine so far ehehehe. |
I wanted to share this recipe for Injera with you guys. Its basically a lightly fermented Ethiopian/Eritrean component to many dishes – personally I love having it with Doro Wat and other Ethiopian/Eritrean dishes (typically most are vegetable-based but they are all delicious in my opinion). One spice mix you likely will need is Berbere which you can either mix together yourself or purchase online. __ Another thing i'd recommend is listening to the podcast Wait, Wait Don't Tell me also - TK is great |

Okay: my recommendations for TV shows: Out-lander, Call the Midwife, and the Crown!! all really awesome shows! |
^ Right?! :whaa: Bahaha I'm a fan of I saw a Tiger... :music: :lmao: I've also been binge watching Ozark (season 3 is great) and then my usual cooking shows, like Nailed It! and Zumbo's Just Desserts. I might start Better Call Saul I feel like this time is also great to watch/rewatch some epic movies? So I watched ALL of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and now I'm rewatching Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Now more than ever is the time for superheroes, eh? |

Myyy recommendation? It's for music and it's the band called Story of the Year (I currently have them on repeat on youtube lol). If you're into early 2000s emo rock like I am, then you should check out these guys  \m/ |
if you are like me and also don't like movies because it is difficult to sit in one place and pay attention for an extensive period of time, I come bearing recommendations of the TV show variety I've been suuuuuper into How to Get Away with Murder since it first came out ... 5 years ago? 6? idk. But they're rolling out the final few episodes now, so it's a great time to jump in, you can just binge all the seasons it'll be grand. Also. Alfie Enoch is in it #hpfam4lyfe Another fun suspencey show i love love love LOVE is Money Heist / Casa de Papel! It's on Netflix and season 4 just came out eeeeeeeee :x3: but if you're more of a funnies person, def def def check out the Good Place - they just wrapped up the show a few months back. OR if you have hulu, Dollface is p funny but ?? isn't talked about much for some reason also I can't believe Roro watched Tiger King also, also I am not a fan of superhero movies but I also watched the Batman trilogy during this quarantine time and I have to say, it was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC |

tiger king is brilliant roro i loved it too! also ariana i LOVED dollface...but i mean c'mon i had to watch it Kat Dennings is like the face of Mel. :loved: tv shows! alright....if you haven't watched it - killing eve! aaaand now a movie! what we do in the shadows aaaaaaand also the Hulu series *drum rolls* what we do in the shadows - they made a documentary tv-series based on the movie and it is JUST as brilliant. Viago from the original is my favorite character and with the new series Nadja is my favorite. also youtube thing - if you guys like fashion blogging and people that aren't afraid to talk about their own insecurities and everything...i'd suggest you watch Ashley aka bestdressed on youtube (her handle was named as such because she was voted best dressed in school)...bestdressed/ashley really is unabashedly herself and quite raw and real at time. also "robin hood: men in tights"...and really any Cary Elwes film |
TV Rec's! Yasss! Okay, here we goooooooooooo!

Also, Connor is my guy :loved: His development from season 1 to present is mind blowing: from the way he got into a committed relationship to his keen brain that allows him to be such a great lawyer... just  Quote:

Also, you guys HAVE to watch all 4 of the CSIs'. CSI: Cyber was short lived but duuuuude. If you're into technology even to an extent, you'll LOVE it! My recommendation this time issss: HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER :x3: The LAUGHS, man. I finished the entire series 2 weeks ago and I'm still hung up about it. |
Soooo, rather than go over things I've watched and make a huuuge list, i'm going to just give a smaller one with a few things I really like or am enjoying at the moment. Movies: Chef (Literally my favourite movie of all time. I never get to the end of the movie without smiling. The music is just so good throughout). Draft Day (Because I love a good sports movie) Inside Man (A little bit of an oldie now I guess but still really good) Solo: A Star Wars Story (So I watched this again for the second time recently and enjoyed it so much more than the first time although that was on a plane with a tiny screen) The Dawn Wall )I loooooved this so so much! A movie about the journey of 2 climbers up El Capitan! It made me quite tense watching it, thinking of those guys up that high in all sorts of weather) Megamind (Because it is just one of the best animated movies ever! I just love it!) TV Series How I Met Your Mother (Just my all time favourite tv series. Don't @me with your "Ignore the final season issues" ) Star Wars: The Clone Wars Series (I have been on a massive Star Wars binge as of late and I honestly loooooved this! It adds so much to the prequel movie trilogy) Top Boy: Summer House (This is the first tv show of Top Boy which was out in 2011. The newest season was everywhere for a while because Drake had something to do with it but I haven't got that far yet. This is a pretty great show though!) Luther (Because Uh...Idris Elba and Ruth Wilson) Podcasts (Because I just love podcasts at the moment!) Not Another D&D Podcast (Just a brilliant, funny Dungeons and Dragons podcast! All time favourite! Potterless (Because it's about Harry Potter! It follows a mid twenties guy who's never read a Harry Potter book before and it's so funny! You'll binge listen to them, shout at all the mistakes he makes and laugh at all of his terribe predictions! Join The Party (Another D&D podcast but more new player friendly! They have beginner episodes that kind of breaks down how to play D&D as the first 2 episodes go along which helped me a lot! It's actually what got me into D&D in the first place) So this is a lot longer than I thought and I'm so sorry  I have so much more but I am going to try and restrain my self from just making a list that takes up a whole page  Feel free to drop me a message if you want to know any more reccomendations or if you want to gush about how much you loved something! or hated it and are now angry with me for wasting your time  |
*peeeks in* So I've been watching a lot of YouTube vids (and mostly cooking, not only because of the recipe but it's just my favorite lol) and I think I should drop some recommendations of my favorite here. Cooking and food related channel 1. Binging with Babish (my #1 favorite) 2. One Meal A Day (their recipe is so simple and foolproof) 3. Marion's Kitchen (especially for Asian cuisine) 4. Mark Wiens (food vlogger based in Thailand) 5. Tabi Eats (especially their convenient store mukbang) 6. David Seymour 7. Peaceful Cuisine (the best asmr cooking on YouTube) 8. Hiho Kids (even though they also have non food related content lol) Non food. 1. Safiya Nygaard 2. The Try Guys 3. Jenny Lorenzo 4. The Fung Bros 5. Kurt Hugo Schneider 6. Boyce Avenue 7. Cut. |

OKAAAAAY. HIMYM! Imma gush here because I LOVE this show! I love it SO much! The finals season wasn't as funny as the others but almost every episode made me emotional. I actually cried a few times. Between Marshall and Lily and Ted and Tracey :loved:... I wasn't a huge fan of Barney and Robin's storyline but I still enjoyed season 9. This series has a special place in my heart. And especially Marshall and Lily. They make me believe in love so much; they are truly couple goals. :loved: Quote:
For my recommendation today, I encourage you to watch Hawaii Five-0 (the 2010 reboot). There are ten seasons and the series concluded earlier this April  |
Quote:
And HIMYM is just...ah I looove it so much! I honestly cried so so so many times! I mean, I've been putting off watching it for a while because I just watched it over and over but there were many scenes that I'd cry at everytime. I mean, that episode with the countdown when Marshalls father visits? Breaks my heart. AND then the one where Ted is in the bar talking to future Ted and Future Barney...Kills me. I honestly enjoyed the whole Robin and Barney storyline but like, I love it all  I could gush for days! |
I'm going to try to stick to things that weren't mentioned here yet! TV-Series:

Future Ted and Barney confused me at first but then I got over that and had a good laugh  Quote:
So, I'm a huge fan of the Terminator series! Anyone else? This is my recommendation for this time around :x3: |
Quote:
I just loved the end part where Ted meets Tracy and he's just bearing his heart to her, even though she has no idea who he is and obviously it's not actually happening. Kills me  |

A new netflix series (with darren criss bless him) has v much caught my interest, 10/10 recommend Hollywood - i still have a few episodes left but it's a good watch |
Okay so I made Millionaire's Shortbread last week and Nicole said I should upload the recipe so here we are SO this recipe is for a 20x30cm baking tin, around 2inches deep. It gives a thick shortbread base, so you can reduce the amounts if you use a smaller tin or want a thinner base. the amounts seems so random and weird because they're not rounded numbers but idk, trust me? it started as one recipe and I've ammended it over the years to make it better SPOILER!!: recipe I hope if anyone makes it they enjoy it! |
I know Tori recommended it, but if you haven't watched Avatar: The Last Airbender as yet, you should :x3: I'm doing a rewatch after 15 years and I am still blown away by this show :loved: |

more recommendations! TV Shows (Netflix) The Big Flower Fights Sweet Magnolias Nadiya's Time to Eat Hulu: Solar Opposites Above the Shadows The Secrets of Crickley Hall Stumptown Prodigal Son Little Fires Everywhere Dollface Veronica Mars Lodge 49 (AMC show it is interesting) |
