Summary:
Lisette’s life was perfectly happy and a little hard to remember before her father died. He did something at an office that she’d never been allowed to go to, and nobody ever really told her the details of how he died. She didn’t get to do as many after school activities when it was just her Maman taking care of her, because there wasn’t time to go to all the places and do all the things. Once her mother remarried, she did have time to do her activities again! Like dancing and flute lessons and her favorite football team. But then she found out she was a wizard! So she gets to go to boarding school! She misses her Maman but is excited for the new things to learn.
