There will be times when the workload may be overwhelming and employees might be required to stay over and complete certain tasks. Never fear, though! An area has been set up off the Atrium ~~for those~~ to select employees to nap and get their required sleep (because the Ministry cares about their employees of high pedigree and standing with the new world order)! Only those employees of approved blood status or have the Minister's approval may enter these pods or else face severe consequences.

Ideally shaped, each individual "sleep pod" resembles an upright egg, filled with cushions, pillows, and blankets; the perfect picture of comfort in a setting away from home ...especially with the walls adorned with heavy ruffling tapestries that animate between the Sign of the Deathly Hallows and Gellert Grindelwald himself.

Vicotria wasn't one to every show her personal life at work and she wasn't starting now, but she needed a moment. Exhaustion had set in and she just needed to take a walk. Her focus was at work and she wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly, but her own health and personal state had been on the rocks for a bit of time.

Taking some time away from her floor wasn't something she enjoyed to do, but right now she needed a quiet place to think. What better place then the relaxation pods, plus she was working in a way, she was checking to make sure they were up and running properly with the wellness plans going into place.

Taking up a seat in one of them she let out a breath and tried to have a moment of peace.

So he came down to the relaxation pods, it was a nice place to nap for a few hours, and not have to worry about anything or going home. Knowing he could crash here at work.

He had a book with him as he walked in and he nodded at the other occupant in the room.

“Hello. ” His voice was quiet as he moved to a pod and sat down on the edge as well.

Before she could think about leaving though she heard someone else come in and opened her eyes. Seeing that it was the newest Department Head for Creatures she gave him a small smile, "Hello, come to get away for a little bit too? " This was the place to go when one needed a rest, Victoria was happy they had it and she had made sure to place it in her wellness plan items.

"How are things going for you so far?"

She gave him a weak smile, "Yes, I guess I have, though I'm not fully sure what apart of the day I'm trying to get away from." Giving a glance around the pods she looked back at the man. "One could say I was working though, trying out something that we are promoting for the wellness of the ministry. This place has so much potential that I hope more come to use it." She had been using it off an on for years, but it was never really busy.

Well anyways it had been an escape for him, that was all she needed to know. His blue eyes looked at her as she spoke and he smiled. “Of course that is perfectly okay, anything that I can do to help, and working with other department heads is great. ” He was still trying to find his footing around here, but this seemed like it could be a good jumping off point for him.

“Ahh, well my kids are grown, so I don’t have that issue much at all. It’s just me at home, so.. it’s nice to have somewhere to go instead of home you know? ” He said with a soft smile.

You might not get much relaxing done with those noises going on. Not to mention the smell. When you look up to see where the splatting of smelly liquid comes from, be careful because you might be a target for the next owl that flies by. In fact, you probably shouldn't look up at all and you might want to bring an umbrella to work tomorrow. Without functioning Ministry memos, they don't really have much work to do.

Owl poo is quite smelly. Did someone feed them fried chicken again?

Rebecca walked down the many stairs from level 4 to the relaxation area on the atrium level to take a well deserved nap. She was exhausted after the assignment that Miss Li had sent her out on that had taken up the better part of the day. Becca had had an dislike against poltergeists after dealing with Peeves antic's during her time at Hogwarts. Now she must say that her dislike had grown very close to hate after dealing with the poltergeist that had chosen to haunt a muggle high school. It had been very reluctant to leave it's place of living. Becca had with sweat and hard relentless work managed to remove the poltergeist to a much better location.

Becca didn't pay attention to the plop...splat...drip noises that followed her inside the relaxation area and towards an egg shaped pod. Her tired and rumpled appearance only had one goal in mind to snuggle up under a blanket and forget that poltergeists existed. If she had paid attention to the loud noises and strong owl odour, then maybe Becca could have evaded what happened next. Unfortunately she wasn't very alert right now so the first big SPLAT of owl poo that landed on her head came as an absolute shock. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!"she cried out in sudden disgust and embarrassment. Before she had a chance to move even an inch another owl came and dumped his poo on her head too. "EEEEEEEEEEK! EWWWWWWWWWWWWW! This is not fair!" Raising her head to gesture after the owl's in rage she called after them "What have I ever done to you two to deserve this? I work for the well fare of creatures every day." Her exhaustion taking the best of her Becca dropped down on the floor tears streaming down her face now as she sat covered in owl poo.

It was probably unacceptable for a Department Head to just......leave an employee (albeit not one of her own) sitting on the floor in tears. Nonetheless, Olly was VERY tempted to do just that as she happened to walk over to the relaxation area and happened upon one of Zhuó Xiá's employees (what was her name again?) having a breakdown.

Did she know that these areas were for RELAXING?

At least that's what Olly had heard but by now it appeared to have turned into an owlery. And not even a useful one. Barely suppressing a sigh, she finally walked closer to the woman, using her wand as an umbrella (this was no her first rodeo, those owls had been causing QUITE a lot of havoc), she cleared her throat. "Are you alright?" Maybe she should get someone else.

She made a mental note to send maintenance a.....right. Well, she was going to send one of her employees then. One of the younger ones. Lovely Becca had encountered a woman that didn't seem to have a filter. She just said whatever came into her head. Considering how she must look to another colleague she supposed it was hard not comment on that without sounding pitiful. Becca debated trying to scramble up on her own two feet without help for a good two minutes, but in the end decided to take the outstretched hand. Maybe the floor was slippery and she'd slip and land on her butt again which she really didn't want.

With the woman's help she got up on her feet and made a poor attempt at brushing off the worst of the owl poop from her ministry robes. "Thank you for the help up. I had no idea that this relaxation area now was utilized as an owlery. Who's brilliant idea was it to use owl's for delivering interdepartmental post anyway?" Taking out her wand Becca cast a few non-verbal spells to clean up her appearance.

Yet again, Tomasz found himself nodding off during the day. He wasn't trying to make a habit of coming to work with very little rest, but his difficulty in sleeping had become a prolonged challenge. He did not worry so much that it would become a chronic difficulty, but perhaps he ought to consider the possibility that this may become the case.

As it was, however, he knew that his schedule was not something he could adjust. For now, he would have to keep up the habit of a lengthy shift rounded out by a night of dedicated study. Unfortunately this meant that he was constantly tired and perhaps even becoming sloppy in his role. It also meant that he found himself slipping away for a moment in a relaxation pod the moment his break started.

So it was with all things in consideration (and a comically large cup of coffee in hand) that he made his way towards the pods. He resembled that of a walking zombie, the lack of moaning and groaning was perhaps the only thing that distinguished himself from turning into one in entirety. Stopping as he reached one of the brightly colored pods, he knocked before peering inside in order to confirm it was empty. He hadn't done that the first time and it had served as a good learning opportunity, if nothing else.

"Not feeling awake yet?" If he was rude, he would have told his coworker that he looked terrible. Terrible, tired, and puffy-faced.

Welp.

He squinted. "Did you stay up all night or what? Don't let Goldwasser see you like this...he'd probably...I dunno, be annoyed." He hadn't much interaction with the MLE head since being hired, but he had witnessed enough to know he didn't much like the man. He was huffy. Huffy and easily displeased. And the man's presence made his stomach knot up and his chest feel like someone was squeezing his lungs.

The anxiety only lessened once he was out of the Ministry's doors each day.

Still, he offered Scott a silent nod, hoping this be enough to show he was awake and alert, lest anyone realize how tired he was. Unfortunately he was not as good at faking as he had hoped, it seemed. "Yyyy, I am still waking up," he tried with his thick Polish accent and a weak laugh, raising his large cup of coffee as if it were confirmation of his words.

"Yyy, heh heh," again he laughed weakly, trying to dispel the awkward discomfort he felt. "Yes, he is very..." Here he paused, his english had a tendency to slip away with exhaustion. "Strict...?" After checking his watch and coming to the realization that he may not have the time to take a break in the pods anymore, Tomasz looked back up at his colleague. "How do you like him... Mr. Goldwasser?" He could not so much tell how the others felt, never having been good at reading others in such a way.

Tomasz felt come discomfort. He did not like being scrutinized and though the concern from his colleague was likely coming from a place of kindness, Tomasz felt a little agitated by it. "Yes," he replied firmly. Though after a moment, even he realized that maybe he ought to soften. "I have trouble with sleep," he explained, though this wasn't entirely the case. It wasn't something Scottie need worry about in any case.

"You are able to sleep well?" He questioned, tilting his head to the side. "The propaganda in Diagon Alley, it is still appearing." The first couple of times it seemed as if it could be a prank, maybe a dark joke of some kind. But now that there were more than just a few reported incidents, it was a growing concern. Again, not that this took away from his sleeping hours, but perhaps it would help move the conversation along. Besides, he could imagine many lost sleep over this.

Again he found himself tilting his head. He did not so much mind that Scottie took long to answer. Tomasz was very patient and often took much time with simple questions. But the answer itself was very confusing and Tomasz was not certain that it had anything to do with his own lack of understanding. "Which things?" His eyes flicked over to Scott's gesturing for only a moment.

"Yes," he replied firmly. Though after a moment, even he realized that maybe he ought to soften. "I have trouble with sleep," he explained, though this wasn't entirely the case. It wasn't something Scottie need worry about in any case.

"You are able to sleep well?" He questioned, tilting his head to the side. "The propaganda in Diagon Alley, it is still appearing." The first couple of times it seemed as if it could be a prank, maybe a dark joke of some kind. But now that there were more than just a few reported incidents, it was a growing concern. Again, not that this took away from his sleeping hours, but perhaps it would help move the conversation along. Besides, he could imagine many lost sleep over this.

Again he found himself tilting his head. He did not so much mind that Scottie took long to answer. Tomasz was very patient and often took much time with simple questions. But the answer itself was very confusing and Tomasz was not certain that it had anything to do with his own lack of understanding. "Which things?" His eyes flicked over to Scott's gesturing for only a moment.

Trouble with sleep was something Scottie was all too familiar with, but he tended to lie awake only if something was on his head. And considering something was on his mind 96.5% of the time, he supposed that was often. Scottie, however, had gotten used to this, and he hardly felt tired anymore from his usual 5 hours of sleep.

"Have you tried any brews or potions for that?" he asked curiously. "I don't take them myself because I don't want to, you know, rely on potions for happiness," he sighed and shrugged. He wondered if there were a correlation between his lack of sleep and the graffiti. "I've heard that. I...I don't know what to make of it, but it isn't really our concern is it? We're just the security here," he gestured around. "The big dogs will handle it, I'm sure," he shrugged again and glanced at the pods. "Is that why you're not sleeping?" he decided to ask.

And now...how to explain Goldwasser. "Like...who..even IS he? Have you ever heard of him before? I haven't. He was an outside hire, right And with the MLE...it's important to have someone you trust. I can't see how the MLE could be run by...an outside, I guess," he offered in response.

Tomasz shook his head, "Yyy, no, but maybe I should." His mother likely had plenty stocked up in the cupboards. She is a healer, after all. But Tomasz knew what was causing his sleepless nights and it was unlikely that a potion could fix his sleep schedule. He did not want to cause anymore confusion, however. Ah. "Yes, that is smart," though Tomasz did not agree in entirety. He wanted to talk about something else.

"You do not think it will come into the ministry?" The propaganda was not just any propaganda. It also did not stop with propaganda, as far as Tomasz had heard there were other reports. Reports of break-ins and the like. That and Tomasz was not looking to stay in this lower level role. He was looking to work his way up the ranks, even if that meant sitting exams that he was ill-prepared for. Hence the late nights. "Yes, it may be a contributing factor. I am not so sure." He said, contradicting himself.

The points made about Goldwasser, however, were true. Tomasz found himself thinking deeply. "I do not know much about the hiring of Department Heads," he admitted, only having been here for a little over one year now. "I am sure Minister Hollingberry does vetting, no?"
