The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's fifth match.
The blue and yelloe marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area (http://www.snitchseeker.com/hogwarts-grounds/gobstones-viewing-area-gobstones-club-94876/) for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book (http://www.snitchseeker.com/gobstones-club/gobstones-club-rulebook-93273/) before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. When Leobald headed down from the castle to set up for the fifth Gobstones match of the term he walked down in the chilly snowflake filled morning air where the grounds were now completely covered in a white layer of snow. By the time he had unlocked and entered the building his hands were shaking from the cold. Pulling out his wand he warmed himself up before he fetched the stone bags and took a tour of the court and stands in the viewing area.
Everything looked good for the match so Leo took his place in the center of the court to wait for Medea and the players from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. When the group of student's had formed around him he spoke as much as to them as the people in the stands. "Welcome everyone to the fifth Gobstones match of the season."
"Good luck to both houses and remember that horse-play won't be tolerated." he said putting emphasises on the last words. Giving the teams their stones, yellow to Hufflepuff and blue to Ravenclaw he took his place on the sideline.

Aidan Stone and Alec Summer's walked out onto the court together clutching their shooters tightly. On Mr Kitridge's signal both boys released their shooters and watched their stones spe'd away. The two stones kept over taking each all the way up to the pit when they both fell off the edge.
"No points to either house." Leo declared in a sonorous amplified voice.
Advisor note #1: This is the Snake Pit version of the game where the objective of the game is to get your house stone closest to the giant pit without falling in to score points.
Advisor note #2: No points were awarded. I was looking for a plant called Lady's Mantle not a rune. Standings remain 0-0.

Aiden and Alec passed their shooters over to Claudette and Wade who were tagged in to take their places. The two took up their positions on the shooter line. On the signal they released their shooters and watched as their stones sped down the court. The blue stone leaped ahead of the yellow and that distance grew a bit before it held all the way up to the pit where the blue stopped right next to the edge where as the yellow stone with a plop fell in.

Claudette reamined on the court for the eagles while Wade walked off to let Alec back on. Claudette and Alec released their shooters. They watched their stones sped off. The blue stone had extreme speed and darted away from it's yellow opponent aiming for the pit. It didn't take long before the blue stone was heard swooshing down into the pit causing a cloud of gob to spray up from the pit. The yellow stone could lazily roll up next to the pit for the points.

It was Alec's turn to stay on the court as Claudette walked off to let Vesper have a chance. Alec and Vesper released their shooters. The stones sped off overtaking each other all the way down the court. At one time the stones were so close they almost clashed into each other. Luckily for both teams that didn't happen. When they approached the pit the blue stone made a bold move that unfortunatley landed it in the pit. The yellow stone fared better and stopped on the right side of the edge.

Name at least two ways an animagus transformation differs from that of a werewolf.
Govoni
11-17-2013, 04:43 PM
The difference between an Animagus and a werewolf is that an Animagus elects to turn into an animal but a werewolf has no choice. After the person has transformed into a werewolf he no longer remembers who he is; he would kill his best friend if he got anywhere near him. A werewolf only responds to the call of his own kind. The only way that a werewolf can retain his sanity, intelligence and memory while transformed is through the use of the Wolfsbane Potion.

In the last shot of the fifth match of the season, Alec Summers took up the position for Hufflepudd against a nameless Ravenclaw. The blue stone was the first rolled down the path, slowly inching it's way towards the Jack stone. Alec tossed in his yellow stone a moment later, a bit more speed behind it. It passed the blue stone, heading straight towards the Jack stone. With bated breaths and hands gripping seats, everyone watched closely as the stones made their way down the table UNTIL... 'Clink!'
The Ravenclaw stone tapped against the snake pit without falling in, causing the putrid goo that the players were so familiar with today to spit at the nameless Ravenclaw and its teammates. A stinky ending to an intense game, though no one seemed to be complaining all that much.
"Hufflepuff wins the shot." Leo announced, tapping the score board with his wand to add in the points. "And that's the end of the fifth Gobstones Match of the season! Let's have a round of applause for Hufflepuff, winning the match with thirtythree points, and for our player of the match, Alec Summers." He happily clapped, glancing around at the others who'd done so as well. "And let's have a round of applause for the Eagles who, no doubt, made their house proud today with fourteen points and played with hearts of eagles." Leo continued clapping until things settled down.
"All the points earned today vill be added towards the Gobstones cup. I hope you come out for the next game to cheer on your fellow classmates and...have a wonderful rest of the day!" Maybe try and get the stink out of their clothes.
Final Match Standings:
Hufflepuff 33 points
Ravenclaw 14 points
