Used for transportation between cars, the train corridor tends to see a lot of traffic. Don't stay in one place too long or you might just get trampled.

Tora had hopped onboard the Hogwarts express for the fourth time in her life and was moving down the corridor as the train moved out and towards home. She was on her way hoooommee! She was excited to see Gram again and... suddenly she remembered. She wouldn't be going back home to her grandmother's house in Boston, but to her parent's house in Britain. They had decided that they needed to see her which was just great for Tora because now it meant she had to see those twins.
The favorites.
But it only made sense for her parents to love the twins, Muggle twins, more than Tora or her magical brother. Tora and Drew lived on the other side of an ocean while the twins lived with Mum and Dad all year around. Her mood thoroughly ruined, she pushed her way down the corridor looking for an empty compartment.

Adrienne strolled onto the train, yanking her trunk frustratedly along behind her. Not only had it taken her forever to find and pack all of her stuff, which had somehow been scattered not only throughout the girls dorms and the common room, but with a few things even all around the castle, but Acantha was being difficult and had hopped right out of her hands and onto the floor, so she'd had to go on a wild toad chase around her bed several times. So now her toad was stuffed angrily into a loose pocket of her robe, she was a little bit late and significantly more annoyed than she usually would be.
Her face lit up when she saw Tora, though. At least she had a friend to ride home with this year. Adrienne nodded at the girl, not quite feeling a smile but still more cheerful than before.
"Y'wanna find a compartment to drop all this off and then head off to the food trolley?" Sure, she'd eaten recently, but she wasn't going to turn down the possibility of food, especially sweets. She could already taste the chocolate frogs... yeah, they were definitely going to the food trolley at some point on this ridiculously long trip back to London.

Tora's mood got blacker when she couldn't seem to find a nice compartment for herself. She was reaching a really frustrating point in her search where she was almost at the very back of the train when in came Adrienne apparently running a bit late (like always) and had just made the train. Tora could tell because she was tugging her suitcase behind her and had the most frustrated look on her face. The Ravenclaw's own mood lightened from black to maybe a dark gray. It was her friend after all, and she wasn't mad at her. Just at the twins. Her mood darkened once more.
She shrugged at the other girl and said a short "Sure," before moving on back. "I couldn't find any ahead, so we're gonna want to see if there's any back here. Otherwise we'll have to double up with someone." Cue face here. As soon as they found a nice empty compartment, Tora was going to pull out her book and read. She stomped a bit more down the corridor, barely looking into the compartments until. FINALLY. She came upon one that was completely empty, deserted of all life.
She dropped her charmed pack with all her books off on the seat and sat down tiredly. She took a minute to calm herself down before looking up to see if Adrienne had followed.

Blair was boarding the Hogwarts Express with mixed feelings. She was glad to be finally going home to see her father and tell him how much she had enjoyed this year. On the other hand she was upset to be leaving. She would miss her classes, Professors and her friends.
Speaking of which, where was Dylan? She had hoped they would be able to sit together on the way back. Blair decided upon waiting in the corridor to try and catch him, this would be much more difficult from inside one of the carriages. She hoped they would manage to get seats together, she would like to spend her last few hours with him before going home.
