It's a cool evening for October. A full moon hangs heavy over the Forbidden Forest, and the stars are bright diamonds in the crisp night air. For those students and professors enjoying this term's prefect event, the weather is perfect bonfire weather. Take a break from the other activities and join your friends around the charmed fire. If you stay long enough, you may see the flames change colors.
Plenty of seats are available around the perimeter of the fire pit, including a few felled trees pulled out of the Forbidden Forest, a bench or two, and even a pile of blankets for those intrepid enough to sit on the ground. The fire is well fed and well maintained, so students shouldn't have to throw any logs on to keep it going.
And what would a bonfire be without food? On a table tucked back from the flames, students can find a variety of pajamajestic snacks: marshmallows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers for s'mores; hot dogs and buns; popcorn, both popped and unpopped; assorted finger foods like sandwiches, cookies, and pickles; and a seeming endless supply of hot chocolate and warm milk. Sharpened sticks rest against one end of the table, so be sure to grab one before heading back to the bonfire.

Of course the first thing that pulled West in was the part with food. He was all about finding a spot and getting his feed on. He went up to the table, following his nose, and examined the food. Load up a plate yes? And grab a stick. West grabbed a bit of everything, going for hot chocolate rather than warm milk for his drink choice, and then went and found a good bonfire spot and a blanket. Yes he was gonna toast things in the fire with this stick. Only after he was fed would he have energy for all that other stuff.
... mayyybe.

She had her a unicorn, a stuffed one that she made with Anya just a bit ago, she laiked her little unicorn.. it was supper fluffy and squishy. And..
Food... she smelled food.... following her nose the seventh year found her way to a table of assorted things.. yum... she grabbed a hot chocolate before turning around to see the fire..."ohh warm fire." she said taking her hot chocolate with her over to it..
Oh "hey Odessa!" she said wandering over to him... she would stand if he sat...
Make her feel taller and what not. Y'know

He had his mouthful already. Hotdog things. Meat. Sauce. Bread. Essentially man food. This meant he wasn't really in the zone for saying words, not if he wanted to be polite. But he did gesture at the spot next to him. Was she going to sit or just hover?
He snugged the blanket around himself with one hand and kept turning the stick with marshmallows on it with the other. Quite the one-man feast going on over here.

Whhhooohooo. Fire. Cat loved a good fire. Maybe it was her tendency to gravitate towards dangerous things, or maybe it was because there was food in this direction. It was probably both, anyway. She gave the FOOD serious looks before she decided that she was going to pop her own popcorn. Wasn't that just EXCITING? Really, she probably should not be trusted with this job, but hey, if it exploded, at least it was just popcorn, right?
Cat shoved a cookie in her mouth and grabbed some hot chocolate and headed over to sit near the fire and a West and an Ariana. Her mouth was full of cookie and she wasn't going to chance losing any of it for talking, so she just gave them both a 'sup' nod. SUP, fellow snakes.

She really wasnt planning on sitting she liked being taller really, even if it was just cause he was sitting. West Odessa was easily the tallest person she knew... besides her dad of course, but odessa was younger then her which is one reason him being so tall bothered the girl.. she was almost eighteen and he was like fifteen... in other words, little.
She shrugged slightly before sitting next to him and she sipped her hot chocolate some... he was eating.. and roasting marshmallows and she was just going to wait for him to be done chewing and stuff cause she didnt want to make him talk with his mouth full, thatd be rude or something... thatd be rude.
And there was a Cat, with food too. It was quite the active quiet party here.. she shuffled and dug the heels of her tennis shoes into the dirt some as cat got settled, oh look she brought the popcorn dont kill us with it, please.

Cat got a sup nod too. Sort of, but mostly West was busy eating. He had priorities after all. He did look around a bit see if he could see anyone else of interest. Mo was over at that bounce thing right? Which obviously was a premium job. For reasons.
And Ariana was sitting. That was good. Had she brought more food for him? No? Too bad. At least his marshmallow was toasted nicely. He brought it closer and blew out the flame.
He swallowed his mouthful and eyed the toy thing in her hands. "What the heck is that?"

Well, they were just a chatty bunch now werent they? She sipped her hot chocolate once more sharing a glancce between cat and west....... why was this weird? They talked all the time... stop eating odessa, your silence makes things awkward.
Obviously it was his fault... or something, he had no idea really..."dont kill us with that" yes cat.. you.. no killing of the Ariana, she was a majestic and glorious unicorn thing you know, she couldnt die by popcorn kernels. "popcorn, Odessa" thats what that was... and she better know how to do, then again that could be funny..

"No, that toy rat thing in your hand." Not the popcorn. He bit into his toasted, melty marshmallow and eyed the toy thing. Was its NAME popcorn? Anyways, he had better things to do, like eat. And he put his stick down too, the rest of his marshmallows went into his hot chocolate, it was easier.
..... tryouts?

He put a smile on. He was getting good at that. "Oh you know, dominating." Him and Theo, perfect pair. Yeah. Focus on the good stuff until an easier subject came along.

"If you say so." West said casually. Well it was dark and all and he only could see by the bonfire light so really, couldn't blame him for that. He could see it was something resembling a unicorn now though, but still... if you say so, Ariana.
"Yeah. OWLs. I'm not even a bit worried." Shrug. Nope. "I just have to decide which ones to bother with given nothing I want to do after Hogwarts even needs any." So he didn't even have to stress. "And you with NEWTs...." He looked up at her. Was she worried?

"i do say so." cause it was. She'll have to show it to him later cause it was one fine unicorn stuffie thats for sure. Mostly cause she made it really with the help on Anya and hers matches cause they were unicorn sisters now, so says her anyway.
"not even a bit?" well she supposed if he didnt need them for what he wanted to then he shouldnt be nervous but like EXAMS... Ariana hated them, so much she hated them. She was bad at test taking and studying and she just couldnt....
"dont remind me" cause we're shaking in our skin already just thinking about them. We were not ready, dont slack off for six terms kids.

Wearing her BEAUTIFUL pink pajama she walked toward the bonfire and grinned. She LOVED it to walk in her pajama, it was funny to do and... she could stay up late and leave the common room!! This was FANTASTIC! "Oh, look at the fire, isn't it beautiful?" spoke Sonea to her two rats, who were of course sitting on her shoulder, the third year old was NEVER going anywhere without her two rats, so today was no exception.
Walking slowly closer to the fire she tried to see if she knew somebody and if she could sit and talk with a student she knew.

Well wasn't really his sort of thing, making a toy. 'sides, his girlfriend already had that one weird pig thing. One weird toy was enough.
"No, I mean, I'm smart, y'know?" West said easily and gave a little shrug. It wasn't like it was going to be a struggle for him. It was literally a matter of deciding which OWLs he'd bother to sit. Maybe it was a waste of brains given he didn't want to put them to any specific use, but it did mean that he did well enough in school to be allowed to do the things he DID want to do, namely Quidditch and music.
"I'll help you." He added. No big deal.

Oh look it was Sonea, with no mud on her face. West wondered if she'd actually learned anything (aside from how to clean and condition brooms) from that incident. He didn't call out to the third year though, she could do what she wanted and sit where she wanted and he'd just eat his food and drink his hot chocolate. NBD.

With his hood still on, Angeal was already seaten by the bonfire, wrapping his arms around his knees. He stared blankly at the flame, ignoring his housemates who were basically at most a few metres away from him. He was alone, of course. Then, he heard a voice nearby and thought it was meant for him. As he was about to respond, the Snake noticed that she wasn't talking to him and at the same time, she had two... Rats on her shoulders.
He looked at them (girl and rats) questioningly. "Those aren't really animagus, are they?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. It was meant to be a joke. A humourless one though, Angeal thought. He sort of regretted saying that, thus looking away back to the bonfire.

He wasn't sure which was worse...a prefect event with dementors or one with a stuffed animal making station. It was a cool idea, yeah? What with the slides and the stuff loitered all about, but the stuffed animal making station was weird. He couldn't be the only one who thought that...and by the looks of it...he wasn't alone. Not one bloke was chilling over there. Only over excited skirts with their friends.
With drumsticks in hand, he twirled them and took a seat by the bonfire as he tried to figure out what he was going to do next. S'not like he wanted to do the stacking thing 'cause he was in sleep clothes. Who wanted to put forth any kind of effort in pyjamas? Pfft, yeah not him.
So he would chill here for a while until he figured out what he wanted to do.

"Don't come near the fire" warned Sonea while she eyed her two rats, she herself also was careful with the fire, the pajama she wore was too pretty to get burned and she didn't wanted to worry about the safety from her two rats. But... She had punished Sir Blue for running away during her previous year so she knew for sure that her rat would listen to her now. "I'm hungry" said Sonea to her oldest and completely pink rat, Little Princess and just wanted to look for some food when she saw a older boy she knew, West was looking in her direction and she remembered immediately what had happened last year. West had helped her when she had been punished by professor Botros... Brr... the third year old shivered while she thought about the punishment Botros had given her and she didn't wanted to have something like that again. SHE HATED MUD and she had been covered with it!! Brrrr... Luckily professor Botros had accepted her excuse and he had given her five points for her behavior this time...
"Do you also want something to eat?" asked Sonea while she looked at the baby rat from Little princes, her baby blue rat Sir Blue. The rat made a soft sound and she nodded to herself, yes, her rats wanted also something to eat!
Huh? Who was talking to her? She looked around her and spotted a first year boy she didn't knew and... hun? What was he asking her? Who were animagus? Did he... was he talking about her rats? She walked toward him and shook her head. "No, they are just rats, but they are special because they are colored" said Sonea proud. "Little princess" - she pointed at her pink rat, "is pink and her baby," - she pointed at Sir Blue, "is blue, so they are special". She offered the boy her hand and smiled. "I'm Sonea Duvessa."

"Not eating? There's tons of premium snacks over there." West helpfully pointed out to his mate. His own plate, despite working on demolishing its contents for the past ten minutes, was still half full, stacked high with all sorts of delicious things. All for West, y'know? Yes.
Also, where was Loppy? Why wasn't Scan taking advantage of this whole thing? West would be if it wasn't for the fact that his girlfriend was stuck running one of those event things. Eh she was probably enjoying that more than she'd enjoy his company anyways.

Oh there was that firstie that he'd seen at tryouts. Not to bad either, decent hustle. West might've waved or said hi or something but she seemed all lost in thought and everything. He wouldn't mind seeing a firstie or two make the team, like how he and Theo had and all that. Legacy. Yeah.

Minerva had a chance to have a little break and she took a few deep breaths. She was hungry and the food was near the bonfire and the bonfire was well fire. Something she clearly wasn't doing well with since last term, but she had treatment for that didn't she, so the blonde made her way slowly over. Going to the table first she grabbed a stick and a hot dog as well as some already done popcorn. No need to stand that close to the fire if she didn't need to. Cooking the hot dog would be long enough. Grabbing a blanket and having her teddy bear tightly under her arm Minerva turned and walked towards the fire.
She breathed a bit easier when she noticed no couples cuddling by the fire. Not that it wasn't cute it would just make her a bit lonely without her certain favorite cuddle claw there. The teddy bear was going to have to be her date for the night. Smiling seeing West and Ariana she waved at the boy and her best friend. "Hey guys, having fun?" She hoped they were at least. Then she saw the snake girl from the end of the year who ran into Forrest and a person she didn't know. Giving them a smile and a wave, Minerva kept her eye on Sonea a bit longer. Yes she would be watching this one especially around her little badger
Next she came near Ascanius. Now this one made her blush with every word he would say. She was an interesting four.. no fifth year now. Wow these younger ones were getting older. She honestly didn't know how Penelope wasn't red all the time being his girlfriend and the way he had compliments up his sleeves. Giving the boy a smile, "Hello Ascanius, having a good time I hope?" Oh and someone else she didn't know got a wave and a smile as well.
Moving her self to an open area and back away from the fire as much as she could Minerva opened the blanket and sat down. Now she had to get near the fire to cook the hot dog. Well maybe that could wait for a moment. She looked around just people watching hoping the event was going well.

Yeah he was. Dominating them of course. Of course. West nodded and then smiled a bit at the little girl. Oh what? Handshake? Err.. okay. He took her hand and shook it, friendly smile in place. "Hi Marissa. You're pretty good out there, you played before?"

Well that was pretty normal not having played and all, at least she knew what Quidditch was and all that. "Yeah, I started in my first year, me and Theo Kinsley, we made the team as starting Chasers back then, and we've been playing on the team every year since. Last year Slytherin won the championship." And they'd been a big part of that and all. And it had felt like the culmination of four years hard work. That wasn't an achievement anyone could take away. "Its good that you're trying out."

After hearing about the event that the Prefects had set up, Nick decided to check it out as well. It was a lot better than sitting alone in his hut anyways. There were a few things the Groundskeeper would rather not been seen at though. Like the "make a stuffed animal" for example....What if Space Nerd Airey saw him there?!
So instead he walked to the outdoor bonfire and found a place to sit. "Good evening everyone" he greeted before looking around. Were there any marshmallows?

Hmm? Looking over to his left, Ascanius saw that West was sitting round the campfire with a plate over flowing with food. For the briefest of moments he thought about his girlfriend and who would win in an eating competition between his mate and her. S'interesting thought. Though he was almost positive West would win under....circumstances. Ahem.
Tilting his head at the food, he shrugged, "Not really hungry, yeah? You are though. Jeez, man." He was obviously still on the amount of food stacked on his plate.
Next she came near Ascanius. Now this one made her blush with every word he would say. She was an interesting four.. no fifth year now. Wow these younger ones were getting older. Hearing another person speak to him, Ascanius turned his head and saw it was of the female variety. Like a switch he threw on a smirk and casually threw back, "Great time, gorgeous. You look lovely, by the way." In whatever she was wearing. To be honest, he wasn't really paying attention. Though she was fit.
Every girl at this school was hot to a certain extent. Maybe he was right. Maybe there was a test or something to get admitted her on attractive level for a female. Obviously it wasn't the same for blokes. There were some real dogs here, yeah? Sad really. Luckily for him he wasn't plagued by the ugly. Smirk.

The first stop on Vesper's Perfect Event journey was the bonfire, of course. Not so much because she wanted to take a seat and not participate...but because there was a snack table. She liked snacks. S'mores! That would obviously be one considering the setup. Bonfires weren't real bonfires without s'mores.
Toddling over to the table, she seen she'd been right! Graham crackers, chocolate pieces, and marshmallows were there...as were a million other things. She tried not to get too much at first...because she sometimes did that thing where her eyes would be bigger than her stomach. So, starting small, Ves got s'more things and butterbeer. Keeping it simple for now.
...and she totally seen Ascanius and West. They both got a nod of recognition.
Also...tucked into the pockets of her pikachu onesie, there was a notebook. Her notebook. Just in case anything happened that was of interest...

Taylor came down, dancing and twirling. The air was a bit cool but she would be by the fire next to a very handsome guy[s] so it wouldn’t matter if she was in an outfit that has short sleeves. Tay wasn’t going to deny that she was trying to look cute except to [s]the really cute Nash. She wandered down to where she saw the fire was at, smiling in happiness. Taylor stood by the fire, crossing her arms partially for warmth. Tay stood there watching the fire dance and flicker while waiting for Nash to come. The fire was warm, to her delight, and it was a pleasant night out. A smile came to Taylor’s face as she closed her eyes, soaking in the fire’s warmth and trying to not get too excited at seeing Nash. Tay liked him... but wasn’t too sure if he liked her back or not… The day at the corn maze was still fresh in her mind and even caused her to laugh and smile even more. She loved how he chased after her and caught her. It was a fun time and she was happy to have met him during summer… She started to silently sing a song in Gaelic, letting the words flow up and down, matching her accent perfectly. Taylor swayed from side to side, sort of dance sort of not. Taylor was beaming in happiness as she swayed by the fire.

Brodie walked up and rubbed his arms, he was cold, but he was hoping to see Claudette tonight and get to hang with her for a little bit. He walked up to the fire with a small smile, it reminded him of camp... Well, camp before last year considering he had that bad accident.. But anyways because he was out here alone maybe he'd meet new people or see his few friends that he had made this year, but until then he just sat down and started to write his new song again. He'd have to get started on the request Vincent asked him to write for him to sing to Vincent. So yeah... Here Brodie was... alone by the fire.. He didn't really care for it to be that way either, though the song did need to be finished so he could get back to writing the music parts for everyone else too... Ugh, and assign who'd be doing what, this was the one thing he hated about being the composer and song writer, it took so much time to perfect and he'd have to start all over if something didn't seem right.

Yeah, Penelope was definitely heading for the food first. Food was the best thing about any event, so it deserved to get her attention first. The games and everything else could come later.
At first it seemed like a hard decision on which food she should eat first, but then she realized she could eat it ALL throughout the night, so she'd try everything at some point. So it was easy after realizing that to start with making s'mores. Those things were the best. She grabbed a couple graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate then looked around for a good place to sit and roast her marshmallow. Hmm...
Oh hey, there was Ascanius and West. That was a good place.
She plopped herself into the empty spot next to Ascanius and grinned at them both. "Hey guys." West seemed to have the right idea in getting food too, but Ascanius didn't seem to have gotten any of it. Weird boyfriend. Heh.

Moving her self to an open area and back away from the fire as much as she could Minerva opened the blanket and sat down. Now she had to get near the fire to cook the hot dog. Well maybe that could wait for a moment. She looked around just people watching hoping the event was going well.
Wade after his station started to get less, hectic, decided now was the time for a nice break.. and you know exactly which snack he picked up along the way in the bonfire. Maybe he could roast them, that'd make an interesting s'more. So, after wanting to find a place to sit, without all the couples around, he saw one of his best friends sitting.. alone. His brows furrowed, before he went with a smile.
"Hey there, Min." With the jar of pickles in hand, he sat close on the blanket with her, before looking out at everyone else, his face seemed nervous though his insides said different. He tried to hide little pang in his stomach of.. jealousy? Yeah, it could be that. His Indy bear was still too sick to join in the festivities. "Everyone.. seems to be enjoying themselves. I can't believe how well this is turning out." He looked back at her, "You doing okay?"

Smirk.
There he went with the gorgeous thing again. Minerva was glad it was dark maybe he couldn't tell she was blushing again. Honestly she didn't take complements well and this boy was nothing but one big complement after another. She wasn't sure who taught him how to be so sweet, but it was nice of him to always be polite and make people feel good. She looked at her minnie pj's and smiled again. "Well thank you.. It was a gift actually." Not that he cared, but she was going to say it anyway.
Seeing he didn't have anything to eat she pointed over towards the food, "Make sure to get some food, you can roast marshmallows at the fire. They are great for smores." Just a suggestion, but she always enjoyed that part of camping.

Minerva looked up when she heard someone and smiled as Kitty sat down. Picking up her teddy bear she put it on her lap. "Hey Kitty.. How's your station going? You are at the build a stuffed animal right?" She was glad she wasn't at that station for the couple reasons, but wondered if it was bothering Wade since Indy didn't seem to be here. "How's Indy feeling? She going to be able to make the event?" Minerva wasn't sure last she knew the girl was still sick in her common room.
Looking up at him as he said everyone was having a good time she looked around. "Yeah not many people at our event yet, but it seems everyone is having fun. I think the mattress sliding and the stuffed animals are the busiest. " She chuckled when she saw the pickles. "Honestly Wade.. pickles? I think you should cook us hot dogs.. That would go nicely with your pickles." Then she wouldn't have to go that close to the fire. Score for both things. Caught off guard by her question she shrugged, "I'm fine.." was her answer to everyone anymore. She wished a certain person was at the event with her, but she couldn't change it so she was trying to make the best of it. "I'm just glad I haven't run into too many couples, ya know?" She figured Wade would understand..

"well i sure hope you were smart." she knew he was smart. He was just a smart kinda guy really, she could tell he just screamed smart you know. Plus he said he didnt need his scores for what he wanted to do which was crazy. In year five west Odessa already had some sort of idea as to what he wanted to do in life, Ariana was mere months from graduation and had not a single clue as to what she wanted to do.. so she needed all the newts she can cause she just didnt know..
And he offered to help her.. he was two years under her and was offering to help.. this meant one thing in the girls brain.. she was dumb, thats for sure..."sure" she didnt elaborate any furter as the place was getting crowded as more snakes showed up.. Sonea and Ascanius., and others too.. meh.. whatever

Adelaide made a beeline for the bonfire once she was outside. Not because she was cold but because bonfires meant smores and nothing sounded better than a smore right now. It was quite obvious that was what the fifth year was here for.
Adelaide smiled at everyone already seated around the campfire, even the Groundskeeper who'd decided to join them. She went straight for the marshmallows, placing one on a stick before holding it over the fire. Yep. This was the best part of the whole thing and no one could tell her otherwise.

She had just made a stuffed hippogriff and had hot chocolate with Blue so she was feeling way better than when she came her dragged by Cat. She was totally going to thank Cat later. It was so better than staying in the dorms and under the covers alone. The alone thing was not good at all. The fifth-year wondered where to go. It got cold and she had forgotten to bring a light jacket with her. Probably because she wasn't planning on going?
With her stuffed hippogriff, the fifth-year ventured to the bonfire. Because warmth!! As she approached the fire she saw so many familiar faces. Hai friends! Mostly Slytherins, too, huh? Almost felt like the common room but out in the open....and with fire..and people from other houses.
She nodded at them and attempted a smile. Such a crowd and she didn't feel like crowds much for now.
Spotting red hair, Cassia wondered if it was Derry but she saw that it was Adelaide. She got closer to the girl and sat next to her. You know, they share a dorm might as well get to know the girl more. Though she already knew a couple of things. Like they both liked make-up and that was very important.
"Hey, Adelaide ," She cracked a small smile at her. "Mind if I join?" Maybe she was waiting for someone. Though Cassia already joined.

Oh looky! Foooooood! Adi was hungry! And wasn't it perfect with the huge bonfire and all? As he closed in towards the table, he could see the food better. Hot chocolate was the first thing to catch his eye. The boy LOVED the thing! He grabbed himself a cup and selected a few sandwiches and pickles. Okaaay, now to find himself a spot to nom on his food.
And that wasn't a problem! There were many chairs all around plus some fallen trees and blankets. Adi opted for the blankets.

Yeah, see the thing about a fire meant that Ascanius could see Minerva's face lit up very well in the flames. That meant that he totally saw her blush and it made him smirk inwardly. An almost victory type of smirk that would have been brilliant and attractive if it were better lit. Then again, he had that attractive thing down no matter what the expression.
Leaning back a little and crossing his arms with a smile, he went on, "Lovely. Just lovely." Whatever it was that she was wearing. Not to be a totally ignorant guy he glanced down to check what she was wearing. Oh wow. Yeah, that had a lot going on. Skirts liked their flare. Or was it Hufflepuffs? Pfft. Whatever.
"I'll be sure to do that, beautiful," he winked. 'Sides the lighting marshmallows on fire bit seemed entertaining as opposed to, well, the rest.

Smiling back, how was the Build-A-Stuffed Animal station going? "It's quite a hit, actually. Alec and Nash also came over to make their stuff for their girls and all." Blinking back at her, he wondered if she was going to check it out soon. "How's yours going?" Oh.. Indy. His smile lessened, just slightly, since it was a bittersweet reason. "She's doing much better, no throwing up anymore.. but still not well enough to make it here." He could feel what Min must have been feeling not having to be around Ethan.
He nodded with her, as she talked about the busiest. "Oh yeah, I was thinking of checking out the mattress sliding pretty soon." But of course, hunger called, which reminded him. He then popped off the cap of the jar of pickles. Mmm.. the smell of it was fantastic to Wade. The daze of the pickles was blow away as he heard Min's voice again, making him laugh. "Hmm.. you know you're right, I think I will." He scooted closer to get some of the sticks provided beforehand. "Do you think they would also go well with s'mores too?" He thought of that, maybe having a pickle, s'more and hot dog combination.
Yes.. that could work. The juicy green tangy taste of pickles beneath the sweet chocolatey and fluffy marshmallow goodness.. Oh, he was doing it again wasn't he? He looked back at Min, as she talked about the couples. Yes, he knew that feeling, "I get you.. well, at least we got each other for company." That's right, the Kitty and Mouse duo. He slung his arm around hers for a quick side-squeeze before letting go. "Let's make some s'mores while we're at it."

S'mores and hot dogs, she'd expect, but she figured she'd go over that way and just see.
Carrying her rolled up blanket in her Hello Kitty tote bag, she made her way over to the bonfire. It was pretty dark out by now and she saw plenty of shadowy figures, but she squinted in the fire light to try to see faces. She smiled at the first familiar one she came across. "Hi Brodie," she said as she stopped near him and pulled out her blanket before laying it out on the ground. She sat down on the blanket, leaning back as she rested her hands on the blanket behind her. Looking up at the boy, she added, "So.. having a good time..?" She knew he said he didn't know many people or have many friends, so it was nice to see him out.. she hoped he was getting on well.

Cassia moved quickly, that had become very clear. After the bounce house she'd managed to lose her again. Lex was beginning to think this was on purpose and the next time she ran into her she was going to complain. You didn't see someone headed down for a sandiwch, get them here then abandon them, especially when she couldn't find Lottie anywhere....andknewAidandidn'twanttofindher.
She dragged her feet until she came to the bonfire, not paying attention to the faces or the voices that came with them--until she heard Cassia's somewhere...sitting and talking to someone that wasn't her. Ditched for a stranger, this night just kept getting better didn't it?
Lex plopped down and helped herself to a chocolate bar, her only source of candy seeing as Cassia made her come before she could grab her candy bag. She nibbled at the tip and watched the crackling fire. what else was there to do until she was allowed back up to her Common Room?
She should have brought her kneazle.

Alright. He wasn't frustrated anymore. Or angry. Or hurt. He just missed his bestfriend a whole lot. Hogwarts was incredibly boring without her. There was nothing to do. No one to talk to. No one to partner up with in classes (when she wasn't with Cassia and Lottie). And he knew she was going through her chocolate frog stash like crazy and he had plenty to offer her and it was so hard not to. He wanted to be able to do that again. And just hang out with her.
She'd be here, right? She wouldn't miss out on a party? And where else would she be but where there was food? Where there was chocolate, rather.
Aidan, dressed in flannel, red, plaid pajama pants and a Hogwarts sweatshirt, slowly weaved through the students already near the bonfire. He was walking on his toes a bit, to see over the heads of those taller than him, because he had to find HER.
He did. And he was quite glad she was alone, because Lottie would probably be incredibly mean to him right now, and he'd have to excuse them from her, and it would be awkward. And then he'd have to apologize to Lottie TOO. After Lex, though. Lex was most important.
He walked straight over to her, hands in his sweatshirt pocket, and came up behind her. Clearing his throat first, so as not to completely startle her in the dark, he said, "Can...can I talk to you?" COULD he? Would she reject him? Oh, Merlin, he hoped not. These thoughts made him nervous, though.

A bonfire!
Dylan had always wanted to go to one, but never had. They seemed real fun and the fact that there was one going on at Hogwarts tonight was just awesome! Looking up at the clear, starry sky, the first year smiled. It was a perfect night for one too. The cool air felt nice; it wasn't too cold out which was just right. And the stars seemed to have an extra shine tonight it felt like.
He looked around the bonfire and decided to take a seat upon one of the blankets, since they looked so cozy. The eleven year old hugged his newly made dragon stuffed animal close to his chest as he watched the flames of the bonfire dance.

Adelaide looked over as she felt someone sit next to her. She smiled when she saw it was Cassia, one of the other fifth year snakettes. "Hey Cassia." She shook her head. "Nope. Go right ahead."
Aside from the fact that Cassia had already been sitting down, that didn't change the fact that Adelaide never had people wanting to sit with her anywhere. Hogwarts had been a nice change from that so far. She turned her eye back to her marshmallow as it shot up in flames.
Adelaide grinned pulling it back from the fire and blowing it out, leaving a very burnt marshmallow. She grabbed a graham cracker with some chocolate and squished it on. "Want a smore?" Might as well offer before she began to stuff her face with food.
So far, whenever Cassia joined people to sit with them they seemed not to be bothered, good sign, yeah? She must have chosen the right people to join. Well, except once actually but that didn't end that badly. Or maybe it did? Well, that was probably a lesson and an example. For now, she was glad that Adelaide didn't mind her sitting with her.
Cassia watched the fellow snake heating the marshmallow. It looked yummy but she was full and didn't feel like eating. She's come here to seek warmth. And because she had lost both Lex and Blue. "Thank you, but I ate before," Because she wasn't intending on coming in the first place but she was dragged her by the Cat. "It's getting chilly, yeah?" She commented, spreading her palms and reaching out for the fire. Not getting too close thought. She kept her stuffed Hippogriff in her lap. She still had to come up with a name for him. He deserved a name.
"Like this pajama party?" Cassia asked the red-headed conversationally. Did the other girl get a look at the other sections? Or did she come here first. "I made this just now," she held out inclined her head towards the stuffed toy. Did Adelaide think it was silly? Hopefully no. And just as she was chatting she spotted someone, Lex, she found her after all. But before she got to call over to her to join she spotted another someone. The someone Lex didn't want to come here in the first place. The snake pondered whether to get up and pull Lex away from him. Shoo, Ravenclaw! But then she thought it was Lex's decision, though she'd still keep an eye out. There was fire here by the way. Juuust saying.
Turning back to her companion while readjusting her sitting position so that the two fourth-years were on her field of vision. "How're you liking Hogwarts so far?" She asked which might have sounded like a very repeated question especially for the new ones but Cassia did really care to know the answer.

Before she knew it the bar of chocolate was gone and she found herself with nothing to snack on...until she reached over and picked up another bar. These were meant for the smores but she didn't feel for those. Just chocolate, those would do.
Lex rested her elbow on her leg and placed her chin in her palm, fixing her gaze on the fire once more. A month. A whole month. He hated her didn't he? Never wanted to talk to her again? Nothing? She sighed heavily, wishing she'd brought at least one chocolate frog. These bars weren't the same and wouldn't be the same no matter how many she ate.
Just as she was about to reach for what might have been her third bar of chocolate she heard...someone clearing their throat behind her? How. Very. Rude. She was trying to sulk in silence over here. Lex twisted, trying to get a better look at the idiot she was about to tell off but after seeing who it was her eyes widened and her mouth remained shut. He'd probably walked up to her by accident, right? Or maybe she was blocking the food?
...No? He wanted to talk to her? Talk? Not knowing what to say she simply shrugged. "Sure." What else WAS there to say? He'd already yelled it all. Rubbish friends like her did better saying as little as possible.

Ascanius was back to looking at West's plate and trying to do the numbers on how his friend could consume the amount of food he did everyday, but then someone pretty and kissable sat next to him. Hey, Pen. She got a huge smile and an arm wrapped around her shoulder. Yeah, she could stay right about here. That was cool with him.
Vesper also got a wink and a nod in her direction. If she wanted to come and sit with them he would be chill with that. 'Sides he had music questions to ask her and West was here.
Ahem.
There is was again.. How did every word come out of this young snakes mouth make her uncomfortable, but not like annoyed uncomfortable. Just not in her element uncomfortable. Her cheeks blazed yet again. "Where is Penelope? She's coming right?" She hadn't seen the girl around since the beard incidents.
Again he started with the beautiful thing. Minerva couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Well I'm glad. We made sure to have plenty of fun things tonight and I would hate to know that some people didn't at least try the food." She looked back at the fire trying to stop the blushing. "Going out for quidditch again?" There that was a topic that he couldn't take and make her blush, right?
A frown crossed her lips as he said about Alec and Nash. Not that she didn't love her badgers it was the boyfriend thing. That was why she liked the idea of the build a stuffed animal. She knew the boyfriends would get so many brownie points for making animals for their girlfriends, but she wanted nothing to do with helping, because she didn't have enough Reese Cups and Diet Coke to get her through seeing the cute couples making animals. "Yeah.. I bet Ella and.." wait he said Nash.. "Who is Nash dating?" She knew he had been talking to Taylor, but were they dating now? Hmm that would be interesting. "Did you make an animal for Indy? I bet she will love that." Absentmindedly she started fidgeting with her own teddy bear on her lap. "Oh ours is going well. There has been some people there, but I don't think it's been as busy as other places." She shrugged she didn't mind that it wasn't. She was having fun over there.
When he talked about Indy she couldn't help but put a hand on his arm. She knew how it felt to be places and have to watch everyone else being cute. "She will be well again soon and then you two can hangout all over the castle." That was the plus of her still being at school she would be better and then she could be at other functions. Min on the other hand wasn't that lucky this term. Minerva laughed as he talked about the mattress sliding, she could so picture Wade surfing on those mattress and she laughed harder. "Kitty don't be showing anyone up. You know you have surfing experience so mattress sliding will probably come easy to you."
She clapped as he agreed to make the hot dogs.. "Thanks.. I.. I've come along way with everything, but.. well you know.." He knew everything from last term, so he probably already knew why she didn't want that close to the fire. Thankfully she was able to just sit back and enjoy it from her summers treatment. Cringing though, "Wade don't even think I'm sitting here if you put pickles on the smores. I tried your chili, but not on smores." That just sounded gross. Now Pickles on hot dogs wouldn't be bad. She felt his arm go around her and she smiled. He was such a great friend. "Thanks Wade" not even using the nickname she hoped he knew how much she appreciated him and all he had done for her.

Yes? That was a yes! He made it past the initial hurtle. Now...onto the hard, heavy stuff. That she might not accept at all. And...he'll have to accept that. Because he wasn't going to...have another...scene with her. He...wasn't going to do that to her. That would embarrass them both and hurt...maybe the both of them, but definitely her. Probably.
Aidan walked around the bench and sat down beside her. Close. He took a deep breath before beginning, careful to look her in the eye. "Lex..." It felt good to finally say her name. To talk to her. "...I'm sorry...for everything. I...was a real idiot," he hung his head at this, eyes turning to the fire.
He...didn't have words beyond that to say, really. He was sorry. He was an idiot. He didn't know what he was thinking. He no longer understood why he was thinking it. And he understood where she had been coming from a lot better now.
He also realized that he was the one messing up their friendship, not her. And that her feelings toward him...it was more of a shame that he didn't return them, than that she let him know about them. Aidan still wasn't sure that he wanted to know, but it was done already, and he knew and...he didn't care as long as they were still friends.

Sky's first stop once she reached the Prefect Event was the bonfire. Because that's where the food was and Quidditch tryouts were definitely a hunger inducing activity. And maybe once she had some food in her, the other things might be more appealing.
So, of course, she grabbed a hot dog, bun and a stick before plunking herself down on one of the logs. They were the only place to sit when at a bonfire. Naturally. She stuck the hot dog on the stick, then held it slightly above the flames, close enough that it would cook but far enough away that it wouldn't burn. Since that would take a bit, she started people watching. She saw West over talking to some girl who looked familiar. Someone who was also trying out for the team, perhaps? And the groundskeeper sitting by himself, wearing a rather amusing looking shirt. Actually, she kind of wanted to go over there and do what the shirt seemed to be suggesting. Give him a big ol' bear hug. Hmmm.... that was interesting.

Lex didn't know what to expect when she gave him the go ahead for them to talk. There were a million endings to this one scene and you know what? Half those endings would probably hurt. If this was anything like the train, voices would rise...or not. She wasn't prepared to sit through that again. He'd shout but if he did it'd be at himself because she'd walk away, quickly.
Lex looked over at him when he called her name. It was like one of those things. Something she hadn't heard in a while but she wouldn't get her hopes up...yet. For now she would just listen.
I...was a real idiot.
"Yes. Yes you were." She confirmed. This was an apology and it was obvious he was being sincere but that didn't mean she wasn't going to have a say. She paused for an oddly long time before continuing. "...And...I shouldn't have tried playing it off..." She would admit that much. Not everyone could make themselves forget, she might have been asking too much of him?
"I wouldn't have brought it up at all if I'd known it would have made you hate me." Really. Nothing was worth having them fight like this. Nothing.

As Kace was talking to Adi, he noticed Dylan made it to the bonfire too! SWEET! He might as well go say hi right? "Hey Dylan!" he called out while he was still roasting his marshmallow. "Come over here and make a smore with me dude!"
I mean he knew how to make a mean marshmallow. It had to be perfectly golden brown. He loved the gooeyness in the center. Whoops now he had to make his smore. He needed graham crackers and chocolate. He got those supplies and the marshmallow just made it onto the crackers without falling off the stick.

She...didn't need to say that. Aidan wouldn't say anything about it, because he thoroughly agreed that she shouldn't have acted that way. That, he remembered, was part of the reason he was so mad at her. That she dumped all she did on him and then tried to pretend neither of them were aware of it.
......Now she was just wrong. "I don't hate you," he said softly, calmly, eyes back on hers. "I'm sorry I made you think that..." He could see how she came to that conclusion...but it was so far from the truth. He was angry. He was upset. But he could never hate her. "You're my bestfriend. I....I miss you," he cleared his throat, trying to play that off cool.
But he did miss her. Loads. So much, it hurt.

She was pleasantly surprized when he didn't add his bit like she'd added hers when he admitted to being an idiot. No real need to bring up that day again if they were apologizing and looking to get pass this. It was actually something she appreciated him not bringing up. She could do without the image of the luggage compartment popping up.
Her eyebrows raised a bit. Despite what she'd been left to think for a little over a month...he didn't hate her...Hearing that, a small smile began tugging at the corners of her lips. As he continued the smile got wider and wider until it almost resembled a grin. He MISSED her. There was a time when she thought she was the only one doing the missing but he just said it. He missed her too! "That makes two of us." Because no matter how hard she tried, she could only distract herself for so long before she had to admit it.
"We're...we're gonna try making everything go back to normal, right?" That was another thing she had to be sure about. Yeah, they were apologizing and it felt GOOD being able to talk to him again but it wouldn't mean much if things were suddenly different and she could no longer do the things she used to--like asking him to pack her something...or grabbing him and hauling him off to the next big thing.
She'd missed being able to do that more than she would admit.

Adelaide pulled the smore back towards herself. She was actually glad she didn't have to make another one because it just looked too good to wait. She took a bite of it and it melted in her mouth. "Mmmmm. You sure? They're delicious..." Yes her mouth was still full and that was completely rude. Not to mention that Cassia had said she'd eaten already. But smores counted as dessert right? Adelaide nodded and swallowed before speaking again. "A bit. The fire helps though." She'd always loved bonfires. And not just because of smores.
"From what I've seen of it it's pretty great. Then again, this is the first stop I've made." What. She saw the fire and immediately thought smores. Not to mention she'd been craving sweets for days now. She looked over at the stuffed animal that Cassia was holding. "You made that? Is that what all of those people are doing over there?" She motioned to the station where everyone seemed to be crowded around, leaving with stuffed animals of sorts. She was going to have to take advantage of that.
She noticed Cassia's eyes wander over to another girl that had joined the fire. Adelaide was going to ask if she wanted to invite her to join them, but then the expression on the other snakette's face changed. She quirked an eyebrow before taking another bite of her yummy smore.
Adelaide's eyes lit up at the question and she made sure to swallow her mouthful before talking this time. "I think it's amazing! And that I have definitely been missing out these past four years." But she had no control over not being here.

He turned back to her as she replied to him. Good. At least he won't feel too awkward. Only at her explanation that Angeal realised the rats were coloured. "Angeal. Angeal Phantom," he said simply, lightly shaking her hand. "How is it possible?" asked the first year, looking at the rats. "I mean... How were they coloured?" Was it a charm or did she literally dyed their fur?

Kace noticed Dylan was a pro at making s'mores. He nodded and approved at what he was doing. "You seem to know how to make s'mores quite well." he mentioned. Then he heard Dylan talking to him. "Oh i have been well actually!" he said truthfully. "I am loving this prefect event because i am a huge pajama fan." he said lying down on the ground being all comfortable after he ate all his s'more. "Did you go to any lessons yet?" he asked curiously.

The s'more did look delicious but she didn't feel like it still, probably because she was one to eat when she was in a great mood. Which lately she hadn't been in. It might not be noticeable for someone she newly met. Since her bad mood standards were different that other people's. She just wasn't grinning and beaming all the time. Or talking to strangers. Adelaide was no stranger of course. House and dorm mate. "I'm good," She nodded at her. "Yes, I should have brought a jacket I guess," She said glancing at the stack of blankets that were tucked away from the fire. She supposed those were for sitting on the ground, would it be ok if she grabbed one and wrapped it around herself.
Oh, so Adelaide had only been by the bonfire so far. Make sense to stop by for snack first. "Yes, there are lots of options not just Hippogriffs," She told with a nod. Cassia didn't remember all of them, she's only seen elephant and unicorn and never checked further upon finding hippogriffs. "It's fun," She said smiling. It also was probably fun because Blue was there for her. Company mattered.
Every now and then, the blond stole a glance at the two fourth-years who were whispering. Could they speak a little bit up? She wanted to know what was happening and whether a Cassia-interfere was required. Though, no yelling which was good. And she might have missed the red-headeds raised eyebrow.
Cassia's smile grew slightly bigger seeing that the fellow snake was liking Hogwarts so far. That was really great. "That's brilliant," she said smiling. And it really was. "I'm glad you think so, what's your favorite thing about it?" She knew new people who disagreed about liking Howgwarts. "Where did you go to school before you came here?" Unless she was home-schooled? Though, Cassia's opinion on these wasn't the best. But not all people were the same. She wasn't judgmental. She hoped it didn't sound like an interrogation. She wanted to get to know Adelaide, since they're sharing a dorm and all, why not become friends, yeah?

Adelaide continued to munch on her smore, only a bite or two left, depending on how big her bites were. "Suit yourself." She took another bite before motioning over to where the blankets were. "If you're really cold, why don't you just grab one?" Sure they were there for sitting on, but they were probably there to keep yourself warm too. Didn't need the students getting any chills and ruining the fun.
Adelaide finished up her smore, licking the sticky marshmallow of of her fingers. She looked over at the bag, debating on whether or not she should have another one. "I will have to check it out because you are never too old for stuffed animals." Nope. Not to mention then she'd have something to cuddle with at night when Oreo didn't feel like sharing a bed with her.
She decided to start making another smore and turned around with a new marshmallow to catch Cassia glancing over at the other girl and her friend. Obviously there was something going on that Addi didn't know about, but she wasn't going to pry or pester. It wasn't her business. She put the marshmallow into the flames, waiting for it to burn.
Adelaide was glad to see that her dorm mate seemed happy at her happiness. If that even made any sense. Her favorite thing? Jeez. How was she supposed to pick. "Umm...so far I'm loving flying and just exploring." There were always a lot of new places to discover. She wondered if anyone ever found all of the little nooks and crannies that Hogwarts had to offer. Adelaide didn't mind all of the questions, she was just trying to figure out the best way to answer the last question. "I - uh - was homeschooled. My parents hired a magic tutor for me, since both of them were muggles and had no way of teaching me."

It wasn't long before more students arrived at the bonfire and Nick just simply sat there. Watching the fire and occasionally listening to the students talking about everything and nothing. It was nice though, just relaxing by the fire and doing nothing for an evening. Nick approved of this Prefect event. But first he wanted to roast some marshmallows so he got up from his seat and walked to the snack table.
Using his ridiculous shirt as a bowl, the Groundskeeper put the marshmallows in and walked back to his seat. Picking up a stick , he pinched the marshmallow through and held the stick above the fire. If anyone wanted to talk to him he was okay with it. If not, he would just enjoy the bonfire and his marshmallows.....did the fire just changed color?!

Claudette was having a ton of fun with all the activities the student leaders had planned for them, but she was starting to get a little hungry. She figured she'd take a break from all the fun and sit by the big bonfire for a bit and see what they had to eat.
Now.. there must be food around here somewhere, right?
He smiled at her and gave a small smile, "Hey... Yeah it's been fun, and I actually have something for you." Brodie scooted a little closer to her and handed her the small stuffed unicorn (http://www.wildlifetreasures.com/images/343abracadabra.jpg) "I hope you like it." The stuffed hippogriff wasn't as cute and he wanted to do one of the magical animals... He really did hope she liked it. He sat the paper and quill down and looked at her, "But what about you? Have you been having fun tonight?" Actually it seemed hard not to have a good time, even if you were a loner like him... So he did hope she was having fun... Or if not then he hoped the unicorn would help.

Adelaide was somewhat distracted from Cassia when the Groundskeeper, at least that's who she thought the man was, came up and grabbed a shirt full of marshmallows. She blinked slightly, mainly because of his shirt and the ridiculous amount of marshmallows he'd taken.
"Glad to see someone else likes roasted marshmallows as much as I do." She felt kind of ridiculous for pointing this out to the older man, but he had just been sitting by himself. Plus, Adelaide was always one for getting to know the staff and such. She continued to roast hers, hoping it would catch fire soon.

My parents hired a magic tutor for me, since both of them were muggles and had no way of teaching me."
The fire was doing a good job of warming her up but it kinda only warmed her hands and her front while she felt a shudder run down her spine. Maybe she really should have grabbed a blanket. Then Adelaide mentioned it and Cassia nodded as she rose to her feet and went to grab one. Once she had one she sat back and wrapped the blanket around her shoulders feeling warmth already. "Much better," She said crooking a smile.
Now she didn't have to extend her arms to be closer to the fire, she'd just let her body absorb the heat that radiated. She snuggled with her stuffed Hippogriff and nodded excitedly at the red-headed. "Exactly! You should totally try it, it really is fun," She confirmed. She liked that Adelaide shared her point of view on the toys thing.
Some would call it silly and childish. Pffft.
When Cassia heard the word flying she wasn't surprised at all. Quidditch was everyone's obsession here, even though she didn't play, she went to each and every game to cheer for her house team and friends. "I saw you were trying out as well?" Was this because Derry tried to bribe them into doing so? Well, it worked with Cat and now Adelaide. "Almost all my friends play Quidditch." She told the girl conversationally. And it indeed was true that sometimes Cassia felt like an outsider. Not that her friends ever made her feel so.
Oh, she was home-schooled. Good thing Cassia hadn't given her opinion on this matter. But then again, Adelaide seemed very nice and cool unlike the other home-schooled girl, Cassia had encountered. Clearly being home-schooled wasn't what gave that girl the attitude. "That's nice, though I bet it's nicer here, being with people your age and all," Surely there must be perks to being home-schooled but Cassia wouldn't know. Though she was curious.

Following Adelaide's gaze, Cassia spotted the new groundskeeper. Mr.Cantwell as she recalled his name from when the headmistress introduce him. And he seemed to like marshmallow, yeah? The blond pulled on the edges of the blanket bringing it closer to herself and not letting cold air get into it and smiled at the man. "Hello, sir," Did he not like being called sir?

Kace was quite hungry! He REALLY wanted a smore. He missed having those. As he was sitting down at the Bonfire, he noticed Adi! Kace smiled and noticed the little guy. He walked over and sat down. "Hey Adi! How have you been? You liking this bonfire?"
Adi lay flat on his stomach on the blanket, enjoying the roaring bonfire. With him was his newly stuffed Hippogriff. "And I'll put you here, Mr. Hippogriff, so everyone can see what a handsome creature you are,'' he said as he set the stuffed toy at the edge of the blanket so that it stood right beside him. He still hadn't thought of a name for it as yet but he was in no hurry.
And then the firstie heard a familiar voice! "Kace!'' he said. Even before looking up, he knew who it was. "I'm loving it! My Hippogriff and I would be delighted if you could join us. We've got fooooood!'' He pointed at the little stack of assorted food next to him. Of course he had not been intending to eat it all! he was hoping for a friend to share with.

Adi pointedly ignored the Scribbulus kid who had joined them. He wasn't about to ruin anything for Kace just because he hated that boy.

Out of the darkness from beyond, something small and black could be seen heading in the general direction of the bonfire. As it drew closer, one could scarcely make out a set of bulging white eyes perched at the very top of it. Closer still and one could see that it was a young boy wearing a head-to-toe pajama modeled after a creature. A semi-unidentifiable black seal-like creature that looked liked someone had made it, but someone without the knowledge of just how sewing works.
Cutty stepped up to the bonfire snatched a s'more from the nearby table and took a seat on one of the fallen logs liking the fire and searching for faces in it.

Wait. That made two of them? She missed him, too? He thought...she'd have been so upset at him for what he did to her, that she was glad they hadn't interacted. But...she missed him. That was relieving. Aidan chuckled lightly. "We're both idiots." For not seeing each other when they were BOTH missing each other. "But I'm the bigger one, of course." Because he set off the whole not-seeing-each-other thing. And humiliated her. And hurt her.
What a rubbish friend he was.
His eyes slid over her face. "Yes. We ARE going to be normal. No different from before." Anything less than they used to be would be horrible. Their relationship was so good before. The best. Bestfriends. And he wanted everything they were back.
But...Dora said they had to talk about it. As much as Aidan just wanted to leave it behind, acknowledge it but continue on, they had to talk. Said Dora and Aidan would be fine with not listening to her, but he was afraid she'd hex him again. "So..." he cleared his throat again, "...youlikeme." His face pinkened a little, unseen by the firelight. Which was what he was looking at. The fire, not Lex. To save them both embarrassment.

Of course Eliza came to the bonfire part of the party, being such a fan of warmth, coziness, and snacks. She grabbed a stick and some s'more parts and went to work, turning the marshmallow slowly until it looked just right. It was a skill she'd learned over countless summers with her family. The thought of them made her a bit sad, but she knew she'd see them soon for Christmas, so she brushed the thought away.
Once her treat was completed, she sat on a log and took a gooey bite. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and she was glad. Though...she wasn't sure who to talk to just yet, so she took another bite and chewed slowly, trying not to get any chocolate or marshmallow on the corners of her mouth.
But then she saw eyes coming towards them. Big white eyes with nothing but blackness around them. Whaaaaatisthat?! she thought, her own eyes growing larger. As it came into focus, it appeared to be a young student, dressed all in black. She let out a sigh of relief and gave him a small smile to hide her embarrassment at being startled.

Laughing at being called an idiot was hardly something she did but this time there was nothing else to do. He was right. They were both being idiots in one way or another and in the spirit of making up she didn't go nodding at him stating he was a bigger idiot. Sometimes she questioned that. Who'd been worse. Technically, if she hadn't sent that letter, he'd have never humiliated her and they'd have never stopped talking. "Let's...just agree not to be this stupid again."
This was one mistake she never planned to make again. Consider all lessons learned.
Her face lit up noticeably by now. Normal was the only thing she was hoping for at this point. Nothing forced, no caution walks or anything of the sort just them being best buds like they'd always been. They'd had too many good times together to throw it all away for a more uptight relationship. Those were no fun and she put hardly any effort in those.
Lex was perfectly content now and would have even been fine with sitting in a comfortable silence but then he was clearing his throat...Lex raised a curious eyebrow at him, noting his gaze that was fixed on the fire again. She...had a bad feeling about where this conversation was suddenly going. His statement had her eyes darting to the fire as well. Thank merlin this was all under the cover of night because she could steadily feel her face getting warmer around the cheeks, eventually spreading to her ears. Did they have to talk about this? It was something she'd rather NOT have been reminded about BUT denying it had only made it worse last time. He wanted to talk about it FOR SOME INCREDIBLY ODD REASON THAT SHE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND so...
"....Ido." Most of her focus was on trying to prevent her face from gaining any more colour. No need to make it noticeable. "butit'snotonpurpose. Itriednotto."

Cutty flipped the hood off of his...seal pajamas and grabbed a roasting stick. He placed a hand on the marshmallow part of it and determined it was not nearly gooey enough for his liking. He made what I would personally call a rash decision to skewer the smore and get pieces of graham cracker everywhere. Slowly and carefully he twisted and twirled the roasting stick into the fire.
He noticed the girl nearby shoot him a small smile. People were certainly friendly at this school. And anyway, that's why he came. To mingle. To schmoooze. To build his business base up. "Hullo." He said to the girl. "Having a good time, are you?"

She took another nibble of her s'more just as the boy spoke. Ducking her head and nodding while holding up her hand with her pointer finger in the air to show she needed to finish chewing before speaking, Eliza rushed to finish her bite. All of this caused her to get a piece of graham cracker stuck in her throat momentarily, forcing her to cough a delicate yet somewhat frantic cough a few times. The hint of tears in her eyes from the crumby throat glistened in the firelight as she finally was able to reply properly. "Ahem," and another small cough escaped. "Pardon me!" Brilliant, Eliza. So graceful, she thought snidely to herself. "I am having a good time, thanks. Aside from being too incompetent to eat properly though." She let out a small smirk and rolled her eyes at herself.
She eyed her s'more scornfully as if it had done that to her on purpose. She should know better by this point than to trust sweet treats at Hogwarts. She looked back over to the boy and gave out a small crooked smile. "And you? Are you having a good time...errrr..." Shoot what is his name? "....new..." No house colors...no name tag...agh! "...seal...boy?" Her brows arched in a comical angle, letting him know she felt like a total goon right now and she shrugged her shoulders exaggeratedly a few times to show it was completely okay to laugh at her.
She was really on her way to winning a lot of awards for her social abilities this year. Mhm.

SO.
Beezus had went back to the castle to grab a shawl (http://www.elegantparkdresses.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/shawl.jpg) because it was obviously getting a little cold and she didn't have anyone to cuddle with, and her guitar (http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j452/tomewitch/Beezus%20Castell%20-%20Selena%20Gomez/daisy-acoustic-guitar_zpse22fd5c7.jpg), Mavis, which was given by someone she was supposed to be cuddling with. Now she was here, nearing the large bonfire which was currently burning BLUE, a little darker hue than those flames in the legendary Goblet of Fire. And then she plopped on a log, setting Mavis against her leg before clearing her throat.
Aheeem. Aheeem.
"Excuse me everyone, if I can have your attention for a moment please." She said in a louder than normal voice and smiling that classic Beezus smile. Afterwards, she went on. "In behalf of your Pajama Leaders," aka Student Leaders, psshh. "I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to every single one of you who came to join us this evening. That includes our Professors. And we sincerely hope that you all are having a nifty good time tonight." Ugh. She really hated herself sometimes. Now she was feeling all emotional that it was her last year at the school and all. UGGGHH. So, she ended up biting her lip....her fingers moving of their own accord and playing up chords of a certain song (http://a.tumblr.com/tumblr_l8bgwxdX1b1qd0yhwo1.mp3).
"I'll....disrupt your moments for a while with one song." Beezus mumbled, chuckling a bit as her index, middle and ring finger found their places to set the C chord. She began to sing.....
"So let's sing na, na na na na, heeeey ya.....
Come on let's sing na, na na na na, heeeey ya...
This is our song, that's all that matters
'Cause we all belong right here together
There's nothing better than singing along
This is our party
And this our song......"
Chord shift! From G to A...then back to C. Those were easy enough chords so she wasn't having problem with the progression. She had a good mentor, after all.
"And grab your guitar, sit by fire....
'Cause we all need a song
When we're weary and tiiiired
We'll stay here.......together....and sing it out loud...."
... Heh. This was one dream come true.

Cutty's brows raised when Eliza began to make the little chokey noises, he reached into his pajamas and gripped the end of his wand tight, but his mind went blank as to whether or not he knew or even could remember any anti-choke charms.
But then, just like that the girl turned out to be alright. Cutty laughed unapologetically when the girl referred to herself as incompetent. Cutty couldn't even imagine anyone in Slytherin even having the remotest thought that they themselves were anything like incompetent and for that reason it loaned the comment a certain degree of unexpectedness thus rendering it funny to him. Then he witnessed her shoot an accusatory look at her s'more with her somewhat watery eyes, and at this point Cutty was rolling. He found this girl very, very weird, but it made for amusement.
The seal boy gave a small nod in reply to him having a good time here. He may not have been when he first walked in, but he definitely was now. "My name's Cutty." He said catching his breath. "What's yers?" He asked her over his now burning marshmallow and the acoustics of an older Ravenclaw girl.

They were having FUN! And foooooood! Adi, now flat on his back and staring up at the sky waved vaguely. "It's fine. As long as he doesn't hog all the food to himself.''
Suddenly, the first year felt something collide with his foot! "Oi! Who's kicking me?'' he asked, raisng his head and glaring at Dylan. Kace would not do that soooooo the only other person here and would do that was his House mate.
Oh wait! Was that someone singing? And playing the guitar?! Adi zoned in on the guitar, completely ignoring the fact the girl had a beautiful voice. He always wanted learn to play one.

Guess Min didn't know about Nash and Tay yet.. Then again, she didn't share a room with either to know. Wade merely smiled, "He's with Taylor," Oh yeah, his gift to Indy. Made his smile brighten, "Oh yeah, I made her this." He lowered the zipper in the front of his onesie, just low enough to pull out a pink and fluffy teddy bear before zipping it back up. Holding it out for Min, "Go on and have a feel," Waiting until she held it before asking, "Think she'll like it?" Wade was a little surprised on the pillow sack race not being as busy. "Oh, well I'd have to check it out then." He definitely wanted to do all of them pretty soon.
Wade looked back at Min when she had her hand on his arm. He took his hand over hers before lightly squeezing it. Only Min right now could feel his pain, "Thanks Min.." He wished he had better comforting words for her, that didn't include words mentioning how long the wait would be. "You and Ethan will have so much to share once you're together again." After hearing about his surfing experience, he laughed with Min. "Oh, I'll try not to." If it really was as easy as it sounded.
Wade eventually came back with the dogs, graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars before handing some to her. "Yeah.." Wade knew a lot that went down between last year and now for her. Then he burst into laughing a little louder than usual. "Oh don't worry, you won't have to try this," He was surprised that Min actually went ahead and tried his pickles and chili the other day. He then put one of the dogs on the stick.. and pickle too before holding it close to the fire. While still hugging her, he heard her thanks. It made him smile before he leaned his head against hers for a moment, she really was one of his bestest friends ever. "No problem." Now they could get to the s'more and hot dog making.
We'll stay here.......together....and sing it out loud...."
... Heh. This was one dream come true.
..Hmm? Wade turned his head to see Beezus making a speech, oh and she had an instrument too? Where they going to sing now? His smile widened at the thought. Wade was no expert, though he enjoyed singing. Indy and his Quidditch mates could confirm that from their locker room and practice sessions.
He joined in almost right away with the groove, "Na, na na na na, heeeey ya." Was no one else going to join them? "Come on let's sing na, na na na na, heeeey ya..."

Minerva thought for a moment and shrugged, “Well that’s nice. I will have to talk to Tay soon and find out more of the details. because one of her closest friends was dating someone new and it wasn’t that icky person. She was excited! Looking back to the fire Min continued to play with the bear on her lap. She looked up when he said he made Indy something. Seeing the teddy bear pop out of it’s hiding place Minerva smiled, “Well I would have picked a different color, but it’s adorable Kitty.” She reached up taking the bear from him for a moment. “What did you end up filling it with? Some of the feathers or the stuffing?” If she was actually going over which that was one station she wasn’t she would have filled hers with owl feathers. “I think she will love it. I bet it will make her feel better too.” All girls liked boyfriend gifts, especially cute cuddly stuffed animals. She laughed a bit with him saying he would come to the sack race, “I’ll race you..” She had raced some others so it would be fun.
Min looked down at that bear on her lap and nodded, “I know and we do get to talk with the mirrors, it’s just not the same, ya know?” At that moment she had noticed more people near the fire and inward sigh was released as she realized it was only a matter of time until this area would be an avoiding at all cost area for her as well. It wasn’t that she didn’t love seeing everyone happy and cuddling cute, but it just made her miss someone even more. “Hogsmeade won’t come soon enough.” She gave a sad smile and felt it was time to change the subject. Laughing as he talked about trying not to be to good at the mattress sliding. Maybe she would have to go over and watch him she wasn’t sure she would try it, but maybe.
As he came back with the food to make she smiled. This was the fun part. She was excited to get the campout food. She hadn’t been camping at all this summer. Oh well she would put it on next summers to do list. Maybe she could go with her grandpa again, he would most likely enjoy that. “There really isn’t a better hot dog than one cooked by a bonfire.” She laughed shaking her head at his words, “Thanks, but even if it was a problem I’m not going near smores filled with pickles.” She stuck out her tongue showing how gross she thought it was.
She watched as he started to cook the hot dogs and smiled as her friends head was on hers. She reached up petting it and then laughed. “Aww Kitty” Laughing more she leaned to grab the buns for the cooked hot dogs. “Don’t worry no more crazy petting cat lady this term.” Nope just normal best friend Minerva, but she could still joke about it..

Ohohoh! Kace had a Penguin! Cool! Adi loved penguins. "Put him next to my hippogriff! They can be friends!'' Heh. He sounded crazy. It was probably the sugar talking but who cared? They were having FUN! And foooooood! Adi, now flat on his back and staring up at the sky waved vaguely. "It's fine. As long as he doesn't hog all the food to himself.''
Kace smiled and put Chilly Willy next to his hippogriff. They did look cute together. He had to admit. Kace was loving life right now and then he laid back with Adi and chuckled at his comment. "I hope he doesn't hog all the foo to himself. I want some of it for later." he winked. Then he heard the guitar playing and Kace nudged Adi to sing along with him.

Then he noticed the song she was playing. He was rocking and nodding towards the tune. Then he knew the words and sang along with her. He might not be the best singer but he tried. He joined in with Wade.
"Na, na na na na, heeeey ya. Come on let's sing na, na na na na, heeeey ya...

"Agreed," he chuckled again. If they missed each other, one of them should just go up to the other and talk. Though preferably, they'll never have to miss each other again. Not even during the summer.
Her face surely did noticeably light up. Aidan's grin widened at that. It was SO nice seeing her, and seeing her happy, and not having a shouting match, and them being okay and friends. There were no words that he knew for this feeling. Like everything was exactly as it should be. All was right. And he was feeling happier than he'd been in a month. A whole month.
If he'd seen her eyebrow raise, he probably wouldn't have continued. They were finally GOOD now. What did Dora know? But alas, he wasn't looking at her. And it stayed that way. "I know. I'm sorry. I should've known then, too." He couldn't help NOT liking Lex, so why would she be able to control liking him?
"You're..." his face reddened more and he swallowed, "You're not a rubbish friend, Lex. You're an excellent one. I'm sorry." He...was just going to continue apologizing for everything. If Lex had any points of her own to bring up that he needed to say sorry for, she was free to do so. He had plenty of sorrys to give.

Agreeing on so many things again, just like it had been before. She knew for sure she'd try her hardest to prevent something like this from happening again. This meant that if for some strange reason they'd fallen out again she'd go banging at the Ravenclaw knocker. He'd better know that that would be the point where all stubbornness is put aside.
And the grinning, quite contagious. There was just this REALLY happy feeling now. It was kinda like...eating a box of chocolate frogs...except without the mad sugar rush. That was probably the only way she could describe it right now. "And we have a lot of castle catching up to do." She said . A month that could have been spent finding something epic to do with him was wasted but they had PLENTY of time to catch up.
She gave a small nod. He really should have known. Given a choice she definitely wouldn't have a crush on anyone. It was something she tried to avoid at ALL cost and something that'd probably be easier to avoid now? Hopefully! She wanted this all completely behind her. "If it helps...it doesn't change my views on stuff...and you." Fact. Her world was still very much in black and white. She wasn't about to lose herself in a world of feelings. Ew. Just no.
Lex glanced over at him. "Thanks." Really, thank you. "Means a lot that you said that." Though she'd never actively admit it to anyone, hearing him say that had hurt and had made her feel even worse about something she had no control over. "You should know our friendship means the most to me." So yeah, even if he never liked her in a zillion years she would take it so long as they could still be best friends.

The firstie nommed on his sandwich and sipped on his hot chocolate, still ignoring Dylan. "Do they have events like these each year?'' he asked aloud. Kace would know.

And, of course, they needed to discuss regular Hogwarts goings ons. Like the new professors and, more importantly, the fact that they have real food now and so Lex didn't have an excuse to live completely off of candy anymore.
Aidan turned to her. "What do you mean? What hasn't changed? What views?" That it didn't change her views on relationships? Kissing? Or...her views about him hasn't changed in the past month? That she still liked him? He was prepared for either response.
"You're..." Aidan slid his hands out of his sweatshirt pocket and wiped the sweat away on his lap. "You're..." he sighed, then shrugged, "It's true." In hesitant, choppy movements, he closed the inches gap between him and his friend and wrapped his arms around her.
He may have taken her next words the wrong way, but he pulled back and smirked at her. "You mean more than Lottie?" His friendship meant more to her than her friendship with Lottie?
...He was joking, of course, but was hoping to hear a 'yes'.

"Wait a minute they had hot chocolate?" he asked Adi. How could he have missed that! He bumped his forehead and went over to the food station and got himself a glass. He loved this stuff. It made himself feel good inside. Then after he sat down with his coco, he heard Adi asking if he wanted a sandwich. He burped and said, "Oh no...i am TOO full." he said honestly. He was still burping a little bit. He even chuckled at his made up word. Nomlicious. Hmmm...he liked it!
When Adi asked him the question, he nodded. "Oh yes they do! Just wait for Christmas! That is my favorite time of the year. Their events are amazing." he said preparing the first year. "You will have a fun time." he said with a warm smile.

"Tonnes of epic catching up." She said with a grin. Was it bad that she was happy he'd been bored without her? Because she was. While they weren't talking she couldn't shake the feeling that he was off making best friends with someone else but now she was seeing that that was clearly not the case and that was just really good to know, OKAY??? "Stuff we need to do that Lottie would say is too dangerous and Cassia will subtly try declining." She could always count on Aidan to be as reckless. The only question was where to start. The castle was a big place, you know. Plus, she hadn't gotten to proper shout excitedly about everything being back to normal. Loud noises hurt Lottie's ears. See the problem?
She was going to have to explain this further? Couldn't this conversation die quickly? This question wasn't so bad though, it certainly didn't have her gaining colour just shrugging indifferently, gaze back on the fire again. "Views on everything related to certain things. I'm still not taken in by most of that...uh...you know mushy waste of time stuff..." How exactly did she explain this? "It's like...I'm not suddenly this really girly person--swooning," Now she was looking at him, "I still don't swoon and I'm not taken in by anything. You don't have to worry that I'll be different." That was also simply a NO.
A HUG!!! The hug meant more than the actual words, definitely and though there was a moment's hesitation she wrapped her arms around him too. Hugs had a way of making everything better.
Lex took in the smirk now plastered on his face and laughed, but it was more a stifled one because she was NOT trying to draw attention to this conversation. Still, she'd missed his humour. "I meant more than any kind of feelings and liking." She said, smiling and giving an animated roll of her eyes. "I love you all the same, no favourites."

While he had been waiting for Eliza's answer, Cutty had been listening to the sounds around him. The crackling of the fire, the hallow and soft thud of hands handling a guitar, laughter and some snips of conversations including one that featured a familiar name. Cassia. He was pretty sure there had only been one at the school, though one never knows. He had, afterall thought he was the only Mordaunt at the school, but there had been another who graduated before he'd gotten there who Cutty had never met or knew of. Not in his conscious mind.
He looked over, trying to be subtle, but not so good at stealth yet still being an immature snake. His chin went up and he pretended to look at the stars, but tried hard to catch who had uttered the name with his peripheral.

Adi started laughing as he watched Kace practically sprint towards the table for the hot chocolate. He himself wondered how his friend missed seeing the delicious thing. "You'll get fat from eating so much,'' he joked as he bit into another sandwich and then a pickle. But really, who could resist food?
"Christmas is mine too!'' He and Kace had so much in common! Wasn't that just awesome? "I can hardly wait!'' He wondered what the events would be this year. "What sort of events did you guys have last year?'' Surely it involved lots of fooooood!

She smiled at the younger boy while she shook his hand. "The pink rat, Little Princess was originally brown, but i didn't liked that color, so i ordered one of the maids at home to make her pink. So that isn't a really interesting story" said Sonea with a grin and looked at her cute pink rat. "But the other rat, is the baby from Little princess, his name is Sir Blue. And eh... he is born blue because his daddy was also blue... but i don't know how this daddy had become blue, it was a accident and i don't know the owner from the male rat" while Sonea spoke she sounded a little awkward, she remembered how shocked she had been when she had discovered that her rat was pregnant, she even had asked the previous Care of Animal teacher if Little Princess was sick because she had become so fat and because she had a really bad tamper... But.. she didn't wanted to tell the first year that she had totally been confused at that moment, nooooo, she wanted to look like she had been aware of the situation all the time!

It wasn't TOO hot but it wasn't TOO cold either, it was just right. Then Adi commented on getting too fat. Kace waved his hand and said, "N'aww i won't. I mean we got high metabolisms here." he winked and pointed to his stomach. "I am not too worried." he smiled and still sipped his coco.
AW sweet! His favorite holiday is Christmas too!? Now they were getting along even more! This was getting better and better."I know i can't hardly wait either!" Then he asked about what events they had last year. He had to think about that...."Well i know that we make cookies with the house elves...and we do have a big event for food. We sit at tables and eat and eat. It was soo delicious. I remembered i had a snowball fight too!" he said.

Enjoying the warmth of the fire and watching the marshmallow roast, he brought the stick to him and blew on the food. Taking off the marshmallow from the stick he took a bite and pinched another marshmallow on the stick. Chewing on the piece of food while roasting the other , his gaze went to the night sky. A clear night, perfect for some star gazing. Oh? someone talked to him?
Moving his gaze away from the sky his dark brown eyes looked at a young girl before he smiled. "They're good right? Just don't eat too many, they aren't good for your health, Miss....eeh...what's your name?" He wasn't going to comment on the fact that he had a shirt full of marshmallows right now. AHEM.
Seeing another girl gazing towards him, the Groundskeeper waved his free hand, dropping a couple of marshmallows on the ground. Awww man! He wasn't going to eat them though, he would clean it up later. "Hello to you as well Miss..." gaaah he should really learn names.

Adelaide pulled her flaming marshmallow out of the fire when Cassia went to go grab a blanket. She considered possibly grabbing one herself. She wasn't exactly chilly, but blankets were always comfy. She smiled as Cassia rejoined her.
"Once I've had my fill of marshmallows I plan on it." She had no idea how long the marshmallow thing would take, but she was going to make a stuffed animal before the event was over. There was no doubt in her mind on that one. She fashioned another quick smore.
Ah quidditch talk. Adelaide was actually excited about this now, especially since she'd gotten a broom and all. "I am. I doubt I'll make it, but it doesn't hurt to try right?" She hoped it wouldn't hurt. From what she'd seen, Quidditch looked like a lot of fun. "Do you just not like playing?" She remembered Cassia saying she wasn't going to try out so it was a legitimate question.
Adelaide took a bite of her smore, swallowing before commenting. "It was nice advancing at my own pace, but it is a lot nicer to be with other people. Especially other witches and wizards." Might as well explain before she got asked. "My parents are, well, pretty well off muggles who hired me a private tutor." Now to wait and see how Cassia reacted.

Adelaide turned her attention back to the marshmallow hoarding Groundskeeper. "True. But sometimes it's good to just eat things that aren't healthy for you." Of course she eyed his shirt full of marshmallows. Apparently he'd already thought of that. Oh right. Her name. "Adelaide Adams. And it's Mr. Cantwell correct?" So many new teachers it was hard to keep things straight sometimes.

Pierson had been headed towards the glowing fire ever since he laid eyes on it from the castle. It was cold outside, considering he was used to the warmer air of Greece. He hadn't quite adjusted back to the rainier, colder air of Scotland just yet.
Tucking his hands in his pockets, he nodded to the students as he passed by them and made his way towards the fame. Ahh. Much better. His pajamas were just a basic pair of flannel pajamas, but they weren't doing much to insulate him. Therefore, cold.

Finally getting ahold of herself, Eliza smiled at this boy whom she'd clearly sent into a fit of hysterics. His laughter was contagious though, and she soon was laughing too. She laughed until she felt her shoulders shaking and her eyes watering again. As she wiped her eyes and cleared her throat from that giggle attack, she heard the boy say his name. "Cutty. Nice to meet you," she said between heavy breaths and more eye wiping. "I'm Eliza," she answered with a head nod and a small smile.
The song Beezus was playing wasn't one she knew, but Eliza was quite impressed with the older girl's singing and guitar playing, so she grinned at her and bobbed her head to the beat. Once it was over, she waved and gave her a thumbs up to show her she'd done well.
She let a slow glance fall onto her ice cream eating pal, Alexa, and gave into her urge to eavesdrop for a moment. It seemed her and Aidan Stone were having a serious conversation. There were lots of 'sorry' words and 'like' words. It was all very hush hush, so Eliza couldn't quite make it out, but she shot Lex an inquisitive look before turning back to Cutty.
"So Cutty," she started. "You're new here right?" she asked in a friendly, yet self-assured tone. She was pretty darn sure she'd never met him before, but it was hard to tell who a person was when they wore all black and crept up on unsuspecting fire-goers.
As she sat by the fire, another new figure approached the scene and she soon recognized him as the Charms professor. Now, normally she'dve thought it was fun to see the professors out in their night gear, but for whatever reason, she was suddenly embarrassed for him to see her in her jammies. She shot him a nervous look, then looked away and pulled her knees as close to her chest as they would go, setting what was left of her s'more down on the log next to her, and hugged her knees with her long arms. She glance back at the professor. Does this look weird now? she wondered. Glance at Mr. Charming again. Glance back at own knees. Suddenly feeling rude by staring and not saying anything, Eliza looked up at the young man and said, "Want a s'more, Professor?" Then, realizing he might think she was offering the half eaten one next to her, she spouted out more words. "Er, not this one," she said motioning to it. "I mean, a new one. From over there," she explained, and pointed to the table where all of the ingredients were placed. Nope. Not weird at all. That was completely casual. Now what was Cutty saying again? She looked back to the boy and wondered which house he was in, and hoped he hadn't told her when she'd been distracted. She kept her gaze back and forth to each of them, hoping she could continue talking to both of them while they were there. Or maybe Cutty would want to join in and chat with the new professor as well?

Aidan laughed. "What 'stuff', Lex?" But clearly she needed him, which felt amazing right now. Especially when he'd just felt horrible that she had 'tons' to catch him up on, meaning she'd done 'tons' without him. While he pretty much went from class to common room to tryout to great hall to dorm all month.
When she explained what she'd meant by 'views', he dropped his head into his hands to rub his face. "I...I guess I thought they had? ...That was stupid of me. I should've known." Especially with the tone of that letter. That she was so adamant to keep their relationship as is. So sure that it didn't have to change anything. That should've been a big sign that LEX herself hadn't changed just because she....liked him.
Although, his crush on Penelope had changed him...sorta...but that was private and irrelevant.
"...Oh," he said, kind of disappointed, but smiling just because SHE was and it was kind of contagious. "...Lottie's not around, Lex, no need to pretend." For good measure, Aidan looked behind his shoulder, just to make sure. Lottie wasn't around. Lex could admit he was her favorite. It wasn't like she had a crush on Lottie. It was him. Clearly, he was her favorite. Heh.

So Adelaide was going to make a stuffed toy, too. That was nice. The dorm would look cute with them. Maybe Cat and Derry would make ones, too? It'd be very cute. "That's cool, there are unicorns, elephants. And more I think," She told her.
Cassia smiled and nodded knowingly. She might have not played but she understood the excitement. She's been seeing it on her friends' faces for long that she herself got excited before and after matches, "I doesn't hurt at all," She confirmed. "The more players the better." Ones who had the stomach for the game, of course. "Umm..It's not like I don't like the game, I go to all matches," Literally all of them. "But the idea of being on a broom while being watched by hundreds of eyes doesn't make me feel well." More like she'd probably faint and fall off the broom. Or if she didn't move at all, she'd just sweat and pale out. "I'm sure you'll do well," She reassured her. "Everything happens through practice," Derry and the rest of the team were awesome and would help their teammates.
It never occurred to Cassia that home-schooled might be faster sometimes. Or slower depending on one person's understanding. Rather than an entire class. That was nice indeed, she thought. The blond tilted her head at the red-headed, "You mean your parents don't like muggles?" That's why they hired her a tutor? Or they were muggles. She must have not paid enough attention to get it. Since her eyes were now on Lex and Aidan who were HUGGING! That was good! But she still was surprised. As for Adelaide, she wondered if her parents were purebloods. Cassia was a pureblood but her parents didn't mind muggles. Her grandmother, however, did. So Cassia would totally understand it.
Seeing another girl gazing towards him, the Groundskeeper waved his free hand, dropping a couple of marshmallows on the ground. Awww man! He wasn't going to eat them though, he would clean it up later. "Hello to you as well Miss..." gaaah he should really learn names.
It was hard to get to know someone new just after saying hi but Cassia sensed that the man was nice. And he didn't have a thick accent like the ....deceased groundskeeper. She fought the urge not to ask Cantwell, how did it feel to fill someone's DEAD position. But it didn't sound like a very nice thing to do. "Cassia Somerlad." She answered him. "Fifth year Slytherin." Bonus information, no?
"Is the fire charmed, by the way?" She asked him curiously noticing that no one was manning it or adding any logs or branches.

He was kind of in a dazed state after a while. Fires did that. They were... distracting. So it took him a moment to realize that someone had been talking to him. Oh, hello. Ravenclaw, was it, sitting down by the fire, offering him a s'more. And he was glad to know that she didn't mean the one she had already partially eaten.
"Oh, no, I'm fine, thank you. I'm not a big fan of marshmallows." And he didn't particularly want her to make a new one for him, if that's what she was suggesting. "Thank you, though." However, that chocolate was tempting.

Or if not then he hoped the unicorn would help.Claudette tore her eyes away from the fire for a moment to peer at Brodie, squinting slightly in the dim light. "Something for me..?" She looked at him quizzically, then smiled lightly at the unicorn. It was a little odd that he had gotten her one when he had just seen her make one at the make your own stuffed animal table, but maybe he figured she really liked them and it was very sweet all the same. "Thank you," she said, smiling a bit wider and giving the stuffed unicorn a squeeze before setting it down next to her.
"So what else have you done?" She had seen him at the one activity but not at any of the others, but that didn't mean e wasn't at any. She was just curious. "Yes, I've been having a great time actually.. The student leaders really did a great job." She looked around a bit, still having a hard time seeing anywhere but near the fire in the dark. "I am getting hungry though.. Do you see where the food is? I heard there was supposed to be some over here somewhere.."

"Just tried to think of something you'd like..." And yeah, he had seen her with one earlier and he supposed now it seemed kinda stupid but... Hey why just have one when you can have two right? He mentally shrugged, kinda realizing how stupid it was to make another unicorn... Maybe his mind was just too muddled at the moment with the request of the two new songs, focusing on writing at least five other new ones and you know... The night Minnie had to basically destroy every bit of progress he had made not just with Claudette, but getting use to being Taylor's friends and getting over his ex. But he didn't want to talk about, at least he hadn't completely lost someone... Though he was sure she didn't trust him at all now.
"I actually haven't done anything else... After making that I just came over here where there's a bit of light so I could write again." He nodded, they had done a nice job... Brodie supposed he should just consider himself lucky Minnie or Taylor didn't put something around the entire event to keep him out of it... but that was aside the point. Food? He shrugged, "I'm not really sure..." Whenever he was really depressed he never did eat much.
He was really craving some S'mores, hence Ryan's reason for checking out this event anyway. Plus, the bonfire was pretty cool. Wishing he had brought Minnie with him, Ryan made his way to the table that stocked all the essentials, and immediately grabbed a graham cracker, two marshmallows, and a sharpened stick that was leaning against the table.
Now all he needed was the fire. Slowly, he made his way towards, it, heating his hands first. Then, he stuck one of the marshmallows on the end of his stick and thrust it into the the fire. While waiting for it to do its thing, he popped the other marshmallow in his mouth and looked around.

Aidan laughed. "What 'stuff', Lex?" But clearly she needed him, which felt amazing right now. "Well I haven't decided that yet but there's bound to be something frowned upon that we can do!" She said, grinning even more at the idea of them hanging out and just finding something to do like they did before. "Plus we still have to try out those sculptures with the animation charm." He did remember that she wanted to play with the werewolf while it was moving, yes?
She gave a small nod seeing that he'd finally understood. Liking him didn't compel her to act any different around him, she just kinda didn't see the point and it wasn't her. Thinking about it, she was almost offended. Did he actually think...she'd be...blushing around him non-stop...or like doing that dumb 'giggle at every sentence' thing? "Good to know I won't be trying to attack your face any time soon, huh?" She said, giving him a playful nudge. Really, nothing changed, nor would it. Alexa Cambridge changed for no one but herself.
Also...as caught up in the conversation as she was, she did notice the eyes on them. That Slytherin kid...Eliza giving her looks--good merlin, even Cassia. Lex surpressed a sigh, instead choosing to focus on Aidan again.
This time she was laughing a bit louder and had to clamp a hand over her mouth. Of course she got what he was implying and it was amusing especially when he turned to make sure Lottie really wasn't there. "It's not pretending. I'll admit I like your face the most." But that was about all she was going to 'admit'. Each of her friends were important to her for a different reason--and no Aidan, your face isn't the only reason why we keep you around.

Cutty looked down from the night sky in time to see Eliza give a curious glance towards that girl (Lex) who might have been that close friend of Cassia's. The one with the power to be that BEST Customer. But again, trying not to stare he looked up again at the stars and seemed not to notice the charred remains of his s'more at the end of his roasting stick. No matter. The wind was taking it now and billowing what wasn't melted gook into the calmly roaring flames.
"Yeah. It's m'first year." He answered Eliza confirming her guess and wondering how obvious it was to others. Maybe there just weren't that many students and it was easy to remember faces around here. Professor? Where? Cutty looked over tore his eyes off of the night sky he'd been NOT gazing at and saw that his Charms Professor had taken a seat nearby. Not being in a restrained setting and having just come off of a laughing fit, he was feeling less scampish.
"He's probably not hungry from the cupcakes he got." His intention was not to tease, but to inform Eliza who may have forgotten that one of the students had given Professor Fuller a few, or possibly a batch of cupcakes. Cutty didn't know how many cupcakes they were talking about there or how long they might have lasted. "What dooo you like, then, Professor?"

Kace knew he was laughing at him and he smiled back when he came back with his hot coco. "I can't believe i missed that!" he said. Then he took a sip and he loved it.
Was it a good idea to lay back down now that he had just eaten something? Adi didn't care so he did just that, placing his hands behind his head. This was so relaxing. No homework, no classes. Just food. He grinned. "I suppose we do. Even if you get fat, I'll drag you off to the gym or something.'' He grinned, quite forgetting that Kace may not know what a gym was.
Cookies! Yum-yum! Adi loved cookies, especially if they were baked in the shape of Christmassy stuff around the holidays. "I hope they ave loads of food again! And then we could work off all that food by having a snowball fight.'' Or building a snowman. Because he liked building snowmen.

Adelaide's eyes brightened at the mention of unicorns. She'd always loved unicorns when she was little, so you could imagine how happy she was when she learned that they were real. Her goal was to see a real one at some point in her life.
She nodded, eating the last of her smore. She'd already decided two was enough for now. Otherwise she would be on such a sugar high she wouldn't be able to sleep later. Addi listened as Cassia talked about quidditch. Ah. So that's why she doesn't like it. "Completely understandable. Besides, what's a team for anything if there isn't someone cheering them on from the sidelines?" Right? She smiled. "Thanks. I've been practicing flying whenever I can since I never got the chance to do it before." Living among muggles kinda forced that.
Oops. Had Adelaide worded that incorrectly? "I sure hope they like muggles seeing as they are muggles." She turned towards Cassia so she could explain a bit better and so that only her dorm mate could here. "By well off I meant rich. Like my parents are pretty wealthy in the muggle world. My dad was starting a political career and needed to have his full family, even his freak daughter. So they somehow found my tutor Mr. Samson who taught me for the past four years." She finished waiting for Cassia to respond. "Please don't let everyone else know I'm from a wealthy family. Not something I like to advertise." She was planning on telling the rest of her dorm mates already because she already felt super comfortable with all of them.

Kace chuckled at Adi. "Actually you know what.....i do not even think they have a gym here." he said thinking about it. "But we can go look on our adventures we will start soon. I also think we can work it off by flying on the practice pitch." he winked knowing the flying in Quidditch always worked out the calories. Not that he cared though. He wasn't really concerned about his weight.
"Yes we could!" he beamed. "Maybe i will even win the snowball fight." he joked with him a little bit. "I mean i got a good throwing arm, not to brag or anything." he joked and chuckled as he flexed his right arm. "Maybe possibly we can build our own creation of a snowmen? I would like to make it an alien or something along those lines." he smiled to him. Hopefully he didn't think he was weird or anything.

Ohh Kace knew what a gym was! Awesome! And flying! Brilliant! Though Adi has a little misgivings about flying in front of people. He didn't think he was that good and he thought that he would embarrass himself. But he was determined to get better, sooner or later. "Hey, you tried out for the Quidditch team?'' he asked as he was completely unaware of what was going on with the tryouts, through his own fault.
Adi grinned. "Let's have one when it starts to snow, then!'' he suggested. "It'll be super fun!'' When it came to throwing the Puffer was sort of good with it given that he did a lot of throwing in cricket. Alien snowmen? What a another brilliant idea! "Yesyesyes! We can make up hoe we want them to look and what they'll wear and everything! Scary looking aliens or friendly looking ones?''

She was getting warmer, thanks to the blanket and the fire. Cassia loosened the blanket around her shoulder and smiled brightly at Addi. "Exactly," Someone who understood the importance of people cheering from the stands. "I had gone to all matches since my first year," She told her. Not just her house ones, but the others. Well, except one because she was kind of broke and couldn't afford the fee.
She totally got the wrong idea. Adelaide was a muggle-born. Cassia's own bestie was too, so the blond wasn't the kind that rejected this. "Oh, I see," She nodded understanding and listening to the rest of the story. So her father was rich, yeah? She wondered if they could render muggle money to wizading one. Being a pureblood made her knowledge a bit shallow in this department. Though she'd seen the muggle money before. Never owned it. "I won't," She reassured the red-headed not quite understanding why the other girl didn't want anyone to know. It's not like it was a bad thing. But she surely had her own reasons, so Cassia didn't press it.
"Are you liking classes so far?" She asked changing the topic as she didn't want the fellow snakette feeling uneasy talking about it or anything.

Adelaide looked around the fire, watching all the little conversations going on. This really was a super fantastic idea. Their prefects were pretty awesome. "Sounds like a lot of fun. If I don't make the team, I will definitely be joining you." It was the right thing to do after all. Wouldn't make her look like a sour sport.
"Yeah. It's definitely a lot more fun to be around other witches and wizards. Muggles get boring sometimes." Plus everyone here was so much nicer than the people she went to muggle school with. Like a lot nicer. She smiled. "Thanks. I just, I used to have some problems with other people when they found out my parents had money." And that was the end of that.
She nodded. "They're pretty interesting. Definitely a lot more fun than muggle lessons." Maths and sciences were just horrible and she was glad she would never have to take them again.

Still astonished rats, it kind of giving away that Angeal wasn't well exposed to the wizarding world. Of course, he went to a muggle school until second year. They lived in a muggle neighbourhood. The only time he was actually exposed to the wizarding community before going to Diagon Alley was his encounter with lethifolds. If you would call them a community. Very terrifying and horrible things, lethifolds are.
"I see..." mumbled the boy, fascinated by Sonea's explanation. He was more interested in them now. "Wh- What kind of food do they eat? I mean... Do they have to eat certain foods to maintain their colours?" When Angeal started to ask a lot of questions, meaning the "interviewee" successfully captured his attention.

Dylan grinned at Kace's nod of approval. He didn't mean to brag but he was a indeed a pretty good s'more maker. Heh. But then again, s'more making was quite easy. But he wasn't going to think about that quite yet. He nodded all smart like at Kace's comment. "I do, I've made them a lot while camping with my family throughout the years." he told him with a small smile as he finished his marshmallow and placed it upon one of the graham crackers. The boy then smiled. "That's good, at it is awesome! Pajamas are great." he agreed as he placed chocolate on and then sandwiched the whole thing together with the top graham cracker.
Lessons. Ooooh yesh. Another nod. "I have, astronomy was my first. It's really fascinating, I love it." he said before taking a bite of his s'more. Merlin's beard, what a heavenly s'more. "What about you?"

Food? He shrugged, "I'm not really sure..." Whenever he was really depressed he never did eat much.Claudette gave Brodie a small smile and glanced down at the unicorn he had given her. "Well, it was sweet.. thank you.." She looked back up at him as he spoke, tilting her head slightly as she listened. The blonde sort of hoped he would have tried something else, maybe socialize a bit because she felt bad that he seemed to be a bit lonely, but it appeared that he had a purpose for that anyway. "Oh you're writing something?" She peered a little closer to see if she could make out what he had, but she figured it might be a song since she knew he was musical. "What is it?"
She furrowed her brow a bit when he said he wasn't sure about food either. Well, that would not do.. she was hungry.. Claudette started to get to her feet, her eyes searching the immediate vicinity. "Oh.. I think there's a table over there.. I'm going to check it out." She looked back at Brodie. "Did you want me to bring you back anything if I find food?"

Oooooh so Dylan came from a muggle family. That was good to know! "Oh so you have been camping?" he asked interested. "So have i! I love it when i do because you get a break from reality for a bit and just enjoy nature like right now." he said chewing on his s'more. I think this was his third....but who was counting! Certainly not Kace. "What is your favorite part about camping? Mine is the exploring bit." he said. He loved traveling the trails and looking for some new places to call his own.
"Pshhh pajamas are awesome man. I mean really there are no constrictions." he said pulling out his elastic waistband a little bit. "I can eat what i want without having to feel fat in my jeans." he joked and chuckled at that.
Next they were talking about lessons and he turned and sooo he was in astronomy! "I was in that class too!" he said bouncing up and down. The sugar was getting to him now. Everyone be warned. "I mean the flying during the lesson was incredible. I didn't do that in my first year, you were a lucky duck." he told him.

Adi grinned. "That's good. I've never had anything worse than a fractured pinky.'' Did he ever tell Kace he played loads of cricket? He didn't think so now that he thought of it. "Oh, I don't think I told you but before coming to Hogwarts I used to play a lot of cricket. I was on my school's cricket team.'' The first year now looked disbelievingly at Kace. "Even our mothers are somewhat alike. She used to tell me school is not all about sports too.'' He sipped his hot chocolate. "Do you think we're related or something?'' he joked.
"You can bet on that!'' Adi agreed. "Good food, snow ball fights and snow aliens!' He paused. "Imma build the evil one, if that's okay with you.''

Her smile widened when the boy looked at her rats, she was convinced that he would like them and that this were the first colored rats he had ever seen, she herself had never seen a colored rat before, besides the blue one who had played with Little Princess and... eh... who was now the daddy from Sir Blue... She didn't knew anything from Sir Blue's daddy so she also didn't knew if the blue color wasn't natural or not, but Sir Blue had been born like he was now, blue...
Hmm, that was a good question, but the answer was no, so she shook her head. "No, Little Princess is pink because one of my maids had made her pink, the magic she had used is permanently unless i remove the color also with magic, so it doesn't matter if she is eating special food or not. And the same for Sir Blue, his is born blue with a pink spot on his ear, so his color is natural for him and will not change, never, unless i use a spell to transform him, but i don't want to do that" said Sonea while she looked proud at her two pet rats. "Is this the first time you're seeing colored rats? You can hold Sir Blue if you want" said Sonea friendly while she took her baby rat in her hands.

Hmm. Adi had never thought of it that way; learning techniques by watching from the stands. But that was a pretty great idea. He'd make sure to pay really good attention to the games then because he might try out sometime.
Oh so he fractured a pinky? Interesting. "Well i am glad it wasn't something too serious." he joked with Adi. When he mentioned he used to play Cricket, he was amazed. "I wish i could learn how to play that! I mean wouldn't it have been cool if we were on the same team?" he asked with bright eyes. "Sadly my school never had a cricket team because cricket was never a big thing in the states." he told him honestly. Some of the kids don't even know what it is.
Then he chuckled when he asked if they were related. "I think our mom's could be from the same planet." he joked with him. "They could have came from the planet mars or something. They could be aliens!" he chuckled at that.
Oh she he wanted to build the evil one, well that was fine with him. "Alright you can do that and i will build the superhero." he grinned taking a sip of his hot coco. "Could mine have a cape?"

"Of course my mom could fix broken bones in no time but still...'' No one would want a broken bone! "It's too bad that no other sports are played here,'' he continued. "I could teach you sometime, if you like. Are you into any other sports?'' Because Kace knew cricket existed and some never even heard of it! Oh and he was from the US? "Which part of the US are you from?''
"Maybe we humans are really the aliens and the ones we call aliens are the real deal,'' the first year suggested. If there were any aliens. Hehe. "I wanna meet an alien sometime.'' Won't that be fun?
"Great! It's a deal then!'' Adi replied. "Oh course! Maybe a red one like Thor's?'' Adi liked Thor. It would be super cool to have the power to control lightning and thunder. "Mine'll need a super evil weapon. Maybe a laser gun or something.''

Kace would imagine a broken bone being painful. He heard Adi's comment about breaking thumbs and nodded. Then he heard Adi offer that he could teach him sometime. "I would like that very much! I just wanna play soccer on the quidditch field one day." he said itching to be active this year. He heard Adi ask if he was interested in other sports. He grinned, "Well....i am interested in football, soccer like i mentioned, basketball, wiffle ball, badmitton and baseball." he said listing off his favorite ones.
"Oh i am from Kansas." he nodded. "You know where the farm country is." he shrugged. No biggie. He liked where he was from and was not ashamed. "How about you?"
When Adi mentioned Thor, Kace's eyes got wide. At least he knew the superheroes. "Yeah! It could be like Thor. You know i wish i could make Iron man but that would be a challenge." he joked a little bit. "I think a laser gun is too cliche for a villain i think he needs like a vaporizer or something!" he said letting his imagination run wild.

Dylan nodded. "Yes, my family and I go camping about three times every summer." he told Kace. The first year, grinning, nodded again in agreement. "I agree! The nature is amazing. And I'd have to say the same. Exploring is definitely my favorite part." he replied. The woods were awesome. He always felt like he was in some epic book when he explored the woods. Heh. Dylan liked to read.
The Puffer nodded yet again. Kace knew what was up. Pajamas just made you feel really awesome too. "Totally! It'd be nice if we could wear 'em whenever we wanted around the school though, wouldn't it?" he asked chuckling and glancing down at his own pajamas. Dylan totally wouldn't mind showing off his epic dragon onesies around the school. Then, Kace was speaking again...causing Dylan to burst out in laughter. Merlin, this guy was really funny! "I get whatcha mean, mate." Dylan replied with a wink and a chuckle.
"Really? So that was the first time that ever happened?" Dylan asked, cocking his head slightly and taking another bite of his s'more, some of the marshmallow oozing out of it and onto his chin. He quickly rubbed it off, smiling shyly. Then he went back to thinking about what Kace had just said. Huh...Interesting! Dylan was definitely a lucky duck then. Hehe. Ducks. Dylan liked ducks.

Claudette gave Brodie a small smile and glanced down at the unicorn he had given her.
"No problem." He smiled at her then looked at the paper, "Song request for my best mate, Vince... He's wanting to ask his girlfriend to marry him at the concert. So I promised to give it a shot, though... It's a bit awkward." Not only because of the fact that he was writing something about his friend getting engaged, but also, the girl the song was for was his ex... so yeah, that always made it feel weird. Yeah, so anyways... like he said, just trying to be a good friend and help Vincent out.
He nodded to what she said and then shook his head, "No... I'm still full from the lunch I had." Okay... so maybe that was over five hours ago, and he'd basically just had two slices of bread with a piece of cheese between them, but hey He wasn't that hungry really, "But thank you for offering." He looked down and then back up at her, "Though, I'll come with you if you'd want some company."

"Awesome!'' Cricket was a cool sport and it would be fun if he could get a friend or two from Hogwarts to play with him sometime. He did have loads of friends from back home who he'd play the game with almost everyday. But of course he couldn't do that now seeing that he was at Hogwarts. Adi laughed out loud at the sheer brilliance of that idea. "Let me know when you're gonna do that. I'll join you!'' Won't that be fun? Lots of the students here won't even know what soccer is! "I like basketball too. But I'm still too short to shoot the real hoops.'' At five feet, who could do that?
''There's no place like home! There's no place like home!'' the first year said in a high pitched girly voice. He grinned. Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz lived in Kansas. He wondered if Kace understood what he was saying. "I'm from Kent.''
Oh Ironman! Adi nodded slowly. "I think so. But the aliens are gonna be fun! Because we can make them how we want and we get to decide how they look!'' A vaporizer! Excellent! ''I'll settle for a vaporizer then. I'll vaporize your good alien!''

"Oh yeah dude i will tell you when i am gonna do it!" he told Adi. "I was thinking maybe this weekend? I am really itching to get onto the field and that is true! Most student's do not know and maybe a good idea to teach them." he beamed liking the idea even more. "But you will be my first student so you should be honored!" he joked with him.
Kace chuckled at his comment about being too short. "Awww don't worry kid, i would be too short too still. I can't wait to have my growth spurt." he told him honestly. "I wanna be taller than my sister, but i know i will be soon enough."
He cocked his head when he heard his reference he made. "Hey is that from a movie? I can't think of it but it is on the tip of my tongue." he said snapping his fingers to remember what movie he remembers that from. "Ooooh you are from Kent? That is cool." he nodded approving of it.
"True true aliens are WAY better looking and cooler to design." he said smiling to the little first year. "Hey wait wait...if your alien has a vaporizer...what will my guy have?" he asked him.

"You think we'll get into to trouble or anything?'' Adi asked. Personally, he won't mind if he got into trouble but his parents especially his mother would not like it. "I bet I can score more goals,'' he added with a grin. He was kidding around, of course. But he would like to see how good he was at goal scoring. And maybe if other students how fun that was, they'd want to try it out too.
"I suppose all the short kids are waiting for their growth spurts,'' he continued with a laugh. "My parents are average height so I don't think I have to worry about height.'' But Adi was told that physical appearance was not only determined by his parents. He could only keep his fingers crossed.
"The Wizard of Oz,'' the firstie said with a nod. "Ever seen it or read the book?'' Personally, he preferred reading the books over watching the movies based off books. They were more detailed. Not to mention, reading was more fun.
Adi thought. "I know! A shield like Captain America! Because your alien would need to save himself from being vaporized!'' Hehe.

"Eh nah i do not think we will get into TOO much trouble." Kace said to Adi. Kace liked living on the wild side sometimes. What is life without a little fun? He could teach this firstie a thing or two.
Oh so he thought he could score more goals than him? Bring it on. "I would like to see you try." he challenged Adi. Kace was the best on his team but he didn't like to brag about it though. He never wanted to be overly confident and all but he did practice a lot, so that shows.
Then talking about height, "Oh well on my mom's side everyone's kind of short but on my dad's side everyone is tall. So i hope i get my dad's genes and be tall....like 6 ft i am guessing." he said squinting his eye while thinking.
SO it WAS the Wizard of Oz. Kace knew it. "I knew it!" he said snapping his fingers. "That is what it was called and yes i have seen the movie like a bunch of times. It is my grandma's favorite." he said. "Sometimes i get sick of it after a while.."he told Adi truthfully.
This kid was a genius. "You know what little man i think you are right. I will be Captain America. That shield will come in handy!" he said giving him a hair ruffle.

Adi laughed. Not too much trouble. He liked the sound of that! "Sounds like fun! Can't wait! I wonder what the others will think when they see us.'' Just picturing the situation sent him laughing again.
"I think almost everyone in my family has reasonable height. Especially from dad's side. But there are still a few shorties around.'' He grinned and reached for his stuffed hippogriff and gave it a squish against his chest. "I have to find a name for him. Any ideas, Kace?''
"I've seen it a few times,'' the firstie responded. "I sort of liked it. But I think the book was way better.'' Books were way better in general. "My mom loves it. Toto's my favaourite.'' Yes. That little cute dog.
Adi grinned at the hair ruffle. He'd seen that with Wade and Alec. Maybe if was a Hufflepuff guy thing. "Good, Captain! We'll need names for these aliens, too.''

He nodded and agreed with him when he learned about his family's background on height. Then he saw him reach for his hippogriff and he smiled and thought of names. "Hmmm wait a minute....i am thinking of something...how about...Buckbeak!" he asked him for his opinion.
Kace remembered that name! "Hey wait a minute wasn't that the name of the dog Dorothy had?" he asked him.
Oh right names..."Well i think some of the aliens names could be unique. Do you have any ideas first?" he asked him.
