Ravenclaw Locker Room & Practice Pitch

Welcome to the Ravenclaw Locker room. Along the wall you see lockers to store your school robes during matches. You see loads of magical pictures displaying past Ravenclaw players. There is one of Roger Davies on his broom flying high over the Quidditch Stadium. Another one show Bradley dodging a bludger. Cho Chang is shown holding a snitch she caught to seal a Ravenclaw victory. Ron Potter is shown smacking a Bludger at the opposition during a championship game. You can see the triple-threat of Kayleen Harrison, Kali Hillcroft, and Sarah confusing defenders with their swift moves on the way to score for Ravenclaw.

A picture of Chloe Agoobwah, is displayed with all the other Ravenclaw captains from the past years. Ravenclaw colors of blue and bronze are everywhere. Quidditch equipment and robes are here for the new team to wear and use. There is a entrance to the pitch too.

Come in, take a seat, and tune up your broom before heading out to practice or a game.


The locker room and practice pitch is the place where your Ravenclaw Captain, Tagren Sevens, will hold practices and post announcements. It is not a place for you to RP, unless your captain says that it's okay to RP getting ready for a game or when a game is over.

OOC-only comments are not allowed in this thread. If you have a question/comment, please send the person a PM.

Only those who are on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team roster are permitted to post in this thread. The only exception to this rule are substitutes approved by the Quidditch Official. House prefects and school staff may also post in this thread when needed.

Greetings Ravenclaw Quidditch Team!

We'll be having our practice this weekend, starting Sunday morning. The practice thread will be open over the span of a few days. This is for the entire team (reserve players, this means you too!). Practice format will be open: questions will be of varying difficulties and anyone can answer them.

Everyone in regular and reserve positions, please PM me by Wednesday night (August 1st) to let me know which match sessions you can make.

Thus saying, he blew his Captain's whistle and tossed the quaffle into the air.

And he wouldn't be taking them off until he handed them to her.

"We'll resume practice tomorrow! Get a good night's rest. Eat plenty of protein tonight to build your strength."

The next day, Tag met the team bright and early on the pitch. "This will be our last practice before the game this weekend, so let's start with some drills, and then we'll go over offense and defense. Everybody ready? Here's the quaffle!" He loosed the bright red ball and flung it straight up into the air, ducking out of the way.

Touy snaps that quaffle up like a lightning flash, and before the team knows it, she's scored again!

Tag pulled up on his broom. "We've been at it for four hours! I think that should suffice," he said, although he knew six hours would be better. However, the darkness descending upon the pitch was becoming a problem. He'd nearly smacked right into Jezzabell, thinking she was a goalpost. "Let's reconvene in the morning for strategy planning! I'll meeting you in the locker rooms after class." Dismounting, Tag caught the quaffle and strapped it into place in the equipment trunk.

Tag bustled into the locker room bright and early, laden with the equipment trunk and his own uniform stuffed up his shirt. He gave the bench a quick glance, noting a long package with a magazine tied to it. Someone's got a new broom. I wonder who? That's awfully last minute, right before the game. Soon his mind was occupied by thoughts of strategy and tactics, tinged with worry. Evan Cassels was invading his dreams. They wouldn't be facing Hufflepuff today, but it would happen sooner or later. And Evan was a powerful player. He wondered vaguely how many hours Evan was drilling his team. Maybe I should have held another practice yesterday. . . we didn't really need to do Divination homework. . . useless subject, really. . . Blaylock wouldn't mind, she likes Quidditch. . .

Still musing, Tag held up his playbook and copied the diagram onto the magicked board.

Having finished, Tag surveyed his work, then started strapping on his arm guards and shin guards while he waited for the rest of the team to arrive.

Touy ran into the locker room and stopped dead. The only person in here was dangerous Tag. "Hi captain how goes it? Thanks for keeping me on the team, I know you are working on rebuilding. Its been weird having 4 different captains in 4 years. I think I will like playing chaser I always played keeper before. As a chaser I get to fly around a lot more." Sitting down and kicking off her shoes. "So are you going to give me those stinky socks to wear. If they are your lucky socks maybe you should wear them." Pulling on her robes. " Are you having a team meeting or should I go out and warm up?"

"Oh! Right," Tag looked down at his cleats. He stepped on each heel and flicked the shoe off, kicking it into the locker. Standing first on one foot, then the other, Tag peeled both socks slowly. They made a slight sucking down, having been on his feet for about a week. The material was practically glued to his skin with sweat. "Here you go!," he said brightly, tossing them at Touy's head. "Guaranteed luck! And don't go anywhere, we're going to have a pre-game huddle." Tag flicked one of the fuzzballs that was sticking to his toe. "I'm glad you don't mind that I changed your position. We needed to mix things up. But don't get too comfortable, in case I need to switch you back! We'll be the versatile team, you know. . . able to play multiple positions with no trouble." He sat down on the bench. "Do you know who this package is for?"

"Hey Tag I just love to play and I don't care where. I've never been beater but I think I have the mussels for it. As for the package I think it has a tag on it. If you like it the firsties did it and if you don't like it pretend you do." Touy had imprevioused her feet and inside her shoes so the stink wouldn't stay with her. "Your socks are going to be big on me." she said as she pulled them on with a grimmous "They are ripe now, open your package."

Antwone shuffled into the locker room with his Quidditch blue sweater and Quidditch pants. As he entered he noticed that Touy and Tag were already there. Before saying his greeting, Antwone's eyes darted around to see where Tag's new broom had been but he could not see it. Touy and Tag were sitting at bench looking at something though.

"Morning captain!" Antwone greeted as he opened his locker, wondering what was taking the broom so long to come. He took out his blue robe which read "reserve" on the back and slipped it on. Then he began putting on his pads. "So how you all feeling?" Antwone asked as he took of his glasses and put on his father's old goggles. They were kind of murky.

"Scourgify!" Antwone said, immediately wiping the murk away. Antwone had become expert with the cleaning spell eversince after the food fight during the opening feast.

Jezz walked into the locker room shaking. She was excited and extremely nervous. She pulled on her blue robes and tried not to focus on thoughts of her messing up terribly in front of everyone, or missing an easy shot. She saw Tag, Touy, and Antwone all doing their own thing so she sat down and closed her eyes, trying to calm her nerves.

"What do you mean, 'open your package'. . ." Tag asked, giving Touy a quizzical look. "What have the firsties done?" He picked up the long parcel and looked at the tag. The names of nearly the entire team were listed above the features of a Nimbus 2002. His eyes scanned the note, a feeling of shock coming over him. This is a new broom. This is a new broom with my name on it. "What the-- what is this. . . this is . . . for me?" He turned to the others, who had just come in. "Antwone? Jezz?"

Kai walked into the Ravenclaw Locker Room with butterflies in his tummy. This was his first really big quidditch game ever. This made playing against his 20-year-old cousins back in Japan when he was 8 look like picking daisies. He kind of wanted to run away because he was afraid of disappointing his teammates but seeing as he had already walked into the locker room that wasn't an option.

Kai thought of his most recent Owl from his mum. It had said something about even if he doesn't save a single thing in this match he will still be her favourite little quidditch player. That's reassuring, he thought sarcastically, At least my mum won't outcast me from the family only my house will. He sighed, Well at least Sho won't care he doesn’t like sports anyway.

Kai looked around and saw some of his teammates and decided it was time to start thinking positive. If he doesn't think positive then how could he even hope to play well?

"The glass is half full," Kai muttered aloud before he could stop himself. He looked up slightly embarrassed hoping no one had heard him trying to be a motivational speaker to himself.

"Hi everyone, How goes it on this fine day?" He said quickly as he went to go change into his uniform. He turned to see that Tag was looking at his package from the team and giggled to himself about it and thought to himself, If he likes it, I was totally in on it but if he doesn't Antwone forced me into it even if thats a total lie and I thought it was a Brilliant idea.

Daphne walked into the locker room. She saw some other players, clearly as nervous as she was. This made her feel slightly better, at least she wasn't being silly. She walked over to a bench and put her broom down.

She slowly put her Quidditch robes on, nervously smiling at the other teammates in the room. Her new leather gloves lay on top of her school robes. They were a very recent gift from her parents, who were very proud of her accomplishments. She was glad she heard from them before the match, it made her feel better.

She pulled on her gloves. They felt like they cost a fair amount of gold. She picked up the letter that came with them and read it again. A single tear fell, which Daphne quickly wiped away. You'll be fine, she told herself. Just fine.

Jezz looked over at Tag, "Well we thought we should get you something nice. I mean, you've been a great captain, at least so far." Her voice was full of sarcasm as she said the last part. "We wanted to show you our appreciation." By the time she finished talking, she was bright red. She couldn't tell if he liked it or not.

[Antwone Thomas]

Antwone whipped around to see that Tag was holding his new broom.

"Oh so it did come! Wow! I didn't know it came with a Which Broomstick and cleaning kit too!" Antwone said, disregarding Tag's dumbfounded expression. "Kennedy, Jezzabell and I got the idea of getting you a new broom so we got all the team to pitch in. I sold off all my excess famous witches and wizards cards, Kennedy had some extra money from school supplies, Jezz had a few galleons left and the rest of the team put in what they could. We just had to get it to you, especially with this being the first match of the season. We had to give you the upperhand on those other beaters." Antwone said as he put on his arm pads and reached for the flag he had made to root on his team from the sidelines.

Kennedy entered the locker room just as she heard Antwone mentioning her name and spotted Tag holding his new broom. She grinned and winked at Tag and then walked over to her locker. She placed her broom and her quidditch gear on the bench and rejoined the group. She greeted everyone, "Hello all! We ready to kick some Gryffindor butt today?"

Tag was dumbfounded. He looked down at the broom in his hands, then up at Antwone, then down, then at Kai, then down, and so on until he had met the eyes of his entire team. Some were blushing, others were avoiding his gaze, but it was the eager faces of the younger members that struck a chord. Tag felt a lump rising in his throat. "You all saved up and bought this for me?," he said huskily, blinking his eyes. We appreciate you, Jezz had said. Why, they hadn't even played their first match yet! He might be the suckiest captain of all. . . and here they were, selling off personal possessions to give him a better broom.

Slowly, Tag peeled the brown paper from the broom, to reveal the elegant Nimbus 2002. It was sleek and shiny. It was even better than the broom he had borrowed from Juno last year to play the All-Star game. Tag clutched the broom in his hands, rubbing its smooth polished wood. "You didn't have to. . ." he began, at a loss for what to say. "But- thank you. You guys are. . ." his voice trailed off, hoping the appreciate in his voice would be better than words.

Tag coughed, to pull himself together. "Okay!," he said suddenly, his voice recovering slightly. "Here's the game plan, team. Everyone take a look. Are there any questions? Are you ready to thrash some Lions?"

Daphne looked down at her trainers. "Erm...yeah," she replied. She was so nervous about the match. She put her broom across her lap, imagining flying it later. She began to wonder about the Gryffindor team. Who was their Seeker?, she wondered to herself. Are they any good? She began to wring her hands.

[Antwone Thomas]

"Hoo yeah!" Antwone shouted after Tag asked them if they would beat Gryfinndor.

Kennedy clapped and yelled "Gryffindor goin down! This Chaser is gonna run over them lions!! Metaphorically speaking, of course." Kennedy winked. She was feeling good, confident, and very excited.

[Antwone Thomas]

Antwone congratulated everyone as they walked in from the pitch into the locker room for half time. He stood beside a table with a dozen goblets filled with pumpkin juice.

"Great work everyone great work!" he greeted them as they all trucked in mud. Antwone swished and flick his wand and let the goblets levitate towards each player. "Drink up drink up, there is not much time before the half ends." Antwone watched as they all took their drinks and waved over to Jezzabell to meet him over in a corner privately. As they proceeded to a corner Antwone looked over his back. "You fly that Nimbus well Tag!"

"Brilliant," Antwone whispered. "You were just brilliant! I never in my life remember you flying like that. Never. Y-You're amazing, you know that?" Antwone took up his own goblet and sipped. Over the cup's brim he looked to Jezzabell's muddy state and then to his own.

"I'm still clean as can be, and all these goggle have done to me so far is let me see you rip it up out there," Antwone said frowning a little.

Jezz followed Antwone to the corner. She blushed when he complimented her. "I'm not that good. I totally messed up that one shot." She grabbed some pumpkin juice and started drinking it, only just realizing that she was extremely thirsty.

When he complained about how clean he was, she laughed and pulled him into a big hug, leaving giant muddy patches on his quidditch robes. "Much, much better. You look like you belong in the Quidditch Pitch now." She smiled at him, waiting for his reaction.

Please remember that the locker room is a place where your captain posts announcements for games, runs practices, etc. The only time that you should be RPing in here is when you are getting ready for a game and after the game - that's it. All other RPing should be done in the common room. Thanks.

Kennedy entered the locker room to find it empty. She carried her quidditch gear over to her locker and placed them on the bench. Taking a seat, Kennedy did some deep breathing exercises. She wasn't entirely satisfied with the way she played yesterday and vowed to herself be better today. Pulling her quidditch robes out of her locker, Kennedy slid the blue fabric over her head and adjusted her uniform. Looking in the mirror, Kennedy checked to make sure she didn't look like a total dog. She thought there was a chance that he would be here to watch her match, if he had time, and she figured it couldn't hurt to make sure she looked good. Pulling her hair back into a ponytail and pinning the short pieces back with bobbypins, Kennedy smiled at her reflection in the mirror and thought to herself, Good enough. Sitting back down on the bench, Kennedy waited for the others to file in.

Daphne pulled her hair back. She took a deep breath. She already caught 1 snitch, everything was going to be OK. She closed her eyes, then readied herself for the next half.

Antwone stepped into the locker knowing this time he would not be watching from the sidelines but playing fifty feet in the air. Slowly and nervously, his hands shaking violently, he dressed into his reserves robes.

Tag stormed into the locker room like something out of a whirlwind. "Okay people!," he shouted, clapping his hands. "I'm mad as heck and I'm ready to finish this thing! Is everyone here? Dressed? Ready to fly?" He jumped up on one of the benches, hands on hips, surveying his teammates.

Jezz walked into the locker room, staggering slightly. She wasn't feeling well, but wasn't going to miss watching the end of the match. Her best friend would be playing in her stead and she knew he'd be spectacular. She sneezed as she pulled on her robes. Pulling out a tissue, she said, "Good luck Antwone. You're going to be great."

She sat down on a chair, feeling faint, and waited for the match to begin. Knowing that as soon as the match was over she needed to go to the Hospital Wing.

Touy ran through the locker room grabbed her clothes and left.

Antwone dashed through the locker room without taking off his Quidditch clothes and raced towards the castle and the kitchens.

Brianna rushed into the locker room and quickly got changed into her everyday clothes. She looked over at her other teammates and called "Party in common room" before exiting the locker room.

Daphne sprinted into the locker room. She quickly changed out of her Quidditch robes and into her regular clothing. She was on cloud nine, she couldn't believe she had done it! She carried her broom over her shoulder and rushed up to the common room. Someone had said something about a party.

Tagren marched out onto the pitch with his team trailing behind like a row of ducklings. Fierce ducks. Quidditch-playing ducks. He was grinning from ear to ear in excitement for the upcoming game, but he wouldn't allow himself a second of rest, oh no. Not with Hufflepuff coming up! He wouldn't relax until this championship game was over and done with, come hell or high water, fail or prevail, fly or fry!

"Okay 'Claws!," he barked, suddenly all business. "Time to tighten up our offense! These Badgers are real animals, so it's time they're tamed! And we're going to be the ones to do it! So let's drill hard!"

Antwone spots the snitch just as Kennedy zooms towards him. At first he thinks she's going to run him down, but he sees what she's after just in time! The snitch flies up Antwone's sleeve, but this is no deterrent for Kennedy Jennings, oh no! She flips him upside-down, robes flying, and the golden ball drops out his neck-hole and into Kennedy's outstretched palm.

Juno pushed open the door shouldering his broom. His gloves were tucked into a pocket and he was silently wondering how in the heck he had let Tag talk him into doing this. Resting his broom against an empty locker he located a chaser's uniform that fit and quickly changed.

Pulling his robes on, he tied them, yanked on his gloves and then double checked to make sure his boots were tied properly. Then, there was nothing much left to do but wait, so he sat down and wait.

Touy went into the locker room not feel as down as she thought she should. Ok they lost but they had been really close and she was much happier with her own play. I think I'm getting the hang of this chaser job. Time to go get Kai and send him home with a quick note to her family.
