Doop. Patrick needed coffee and perhaps a poptarts. It would be super cool if there was a secret stash of some in the break room.

Break room go boom? The hell was going on?

Having already stepped into the room before he realized it was raining inside, Patrick stood getting soaked to the bone.

Uhhhh. What was that spell? Metropolitan meteological something whatsit recanto? Ugh. Pulling his wand he cat shield spell over his head and stood staring at the ceiling.

One second, Cale was watching his employee try and levitate the mutant. Ok, good idea, employee whatever-your-name-is! He was too frazzled right now to remember. The next second, however...it was storming in his break room. Full on storming, with lightning and rain and thunder...

"What in the name of Merlin's beard is going on?!" Cale shouted as he hopped down from the desk. Forget the mutant right now - his HAIR was getting wet! He pulled out his wand from his pocket and waved it, casting a protection charm above his head to serve as an umbrella of sorts.

Alright, time to get into Department Head mode! "Jayden, Maya - " AHA that was her name! "You're on mutant rat patrol. Capture it!" he said. He didn't care how they did it, just do SOMETHING with it! "Patrick - let's figure out what all THIS is about," he said, waving his hands and indicating to the torrential downpour happening around them right now.

There were loud noises again! And they sounded so familiar! The creature was a whisker away from jumping and fleeing when it was suddenly hoisted into the air and away from the deliiiiiiiccciioouuuss muffin.

If that wasn't bad enough, in the next second, it started... storming? This creature was wet, airborne and not a happy camper at all.

Squuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

The sound of the storm wasn’t what had attracted the Transportation department worker to walk into the break room. No, it was the squealing. There was something squealing in the break room.

As she peaked her head around the corner only to find herself drenched in the strange rainstorm. Kyleigh blinked. What on earth. She had thought people were exaggerating or making something up when hey had said mutants.

The zombies weren’t zombies after all, but this mutant was definitely a mutant.

“C'mere this way little thingy, lets get you out of the rain” she offered and reached into her bag pulling out a zip-locked muffin. It was supposed to be her lunch but after all the mutant had been trying to eat the muffin earlier or so she had heard.

There was a strange rat in the office AND it was raining. Sadly enough, Jayden couldn't even call this an unusual day at the office. Things like this happened more often than it should.

"I can't just hurt it." Even if it was creepy. He looked in the cupboards before finding a box.

That would do for now.

He snuck up near it and tried tossing the box on it.

Vickers was in that emotional state where FOOD has turned into the only consolation he has whenever he was here (other than the slightly mind-tickling ways of avoiding running into a certain blonde from MLE). So there he goes a tall gangly thing, with shoulders slumped peering into the paperbag of the hefty sandwich he picked up at the convenience store....

And then he felt a drop on his neck.... and then another one.... and then....

.......downpour?

Whut?

He looked up, getting soaked really quickly. “Awww man....” he grumbled under his breath as he quickly whipped out his wand and shielded himself. Annoyed he was about to turn around thinking of getting someone to look at their climate control things when he saw a whole bunch of his co-workers and his boss looking up.....

What the heck is that thing?

Amazed, he walked closer to Kyle and watched her offer the muffin. “Shouldnt we try to get it to stop floating first?” he murmured.

He shifted his wand and aimed it squarely at that MUTANT, casting a fixate spell. Did it hit its target? Far easier to get Jayden’s box on it wouldn’t it?

Why was everyone so concerned about hurting this rat thing? Cale was all for being kind to animals - he'd only had like a million of them since he entered this world - but this mutant was causing TERROR. He wasn't asking them to chop it's head off - just catch it!!

Grimacing, he jumped onto one of the nearby chairs and pointed his wand at the ceiling. "Finite!" he exclaimed, hoping that that would do SOMETHING. As he waited to see if the rain would subside, he looked at Jayden, who was talking about not hurting the mutant and such.

"You don't have to hurt it! Just...catch it!" he yelled, but thankfully Jayden was way ahead of him. He watched as the box flew threw the air and, miraculously, landed on the floating mutant.

"Box it up!" he exclaimed. Barking orders was coming awfully natural to him in times of pressure. That was...good he supposed?

Cale, perched from his table, was afraid that the mutant wouldn't be in the air for much longer, and if it touched the ground - well, that was it. It'd be gone. Poof. Bye bye. That thing was not going to venture in front of them anymore if it kept getting attacked and bothered like this!

So it was now or never!

Grabbing a box that they'd used for donuts a few days ago, Cale jumped off the chair, running through the rain, and captured the mutant in the box. There was plenty of room for it to run around, and maybe even one or two stale donuts were left in there as well. He wasn't sure. The little thing would like that, yes?

"Ok so...figure out how to stop this WEATHER thing, I'm going to...um...creatures. Yes, that seems right..." he said. Or maybe not creatures. Where had this thing come from?

He'd figure it out in the lift. In a few swift steps, the department head was gone.

Vincent walked into the break room with a small sigh. He was lost in his thoughts and then nearly jumped when he felt something wet and cold going down his back, "What in bloody hell?..." He wiped the back of his neck. Rain? He looked up and groaned, Great... this day just can't get any worse can it? First Rachel and now this mess... He sighed, shaking his head as more water fell on him, "Who's idea was this?" He quickly grabbed an old folder from his bag and used it to cover his head. He looked around unsure if he was just talking to himself or if others were in there with him.

Annalise walked into the room with purpose, slowly taking out her wand, her cool blue eyes in search of the charm that was causing all of the crazy weather in the break room. Well, first thing first. She had to reveal the piece that was broken.

She walked into the center of the room. Coughing a few times before raising her voice in an attempt to capture people's attention. "Okay everyone, careful now! I've come with orders to fix this issue."


No one was listening. Okay. Might as well do it anyway...

"Revealio."

Not wearing high heels for a change because the bloody things were killing her each time she wore them and she even wondered WHY she did, Misa was walking around in sneakers which were much more comfortable. Break had started and she decided to get something to drink in the break room when her Department Head walked out of the room. Saying a quick "Hello" she couldn't say anything else for he left the area in a hurry.

Shaking her head, the black haired woman stood at the door of the break room just in time to hear another woman say an incantation. "Whats going on?" she asked but her question was already answered at the crazy weather inside the room and she decided that, at the door was the best place to stand. See the action without getting hit.

What...exactly...was the deal at this Ministry? Was it a rule for everything to break down once a week? Or...was someone messing with him? That didn't seem too far off base, actually.

Merlin.

Strutting down to Level Six, Anthony peered into the breakroom, not wanting to fully step in just yet. Along the way, he'd sent a patronus of his own, locating his Healers and directing them towards his location. If someone had fell and hurt themselves, a law suit was the last thing they needed.

"What is going on here?" Yes, his tone was sharp and authoritative. See, Anthony was annoyed. It was so rare an occurrence...but yes, he was most certainly annoyed now. Whipping out his wand again, he attempted to cast the Impervius charm...several times before it even worked. Squint. What was going on in this building?!

"Is anyone hurt?"

Bradley rushed to level six as soon as he got the patronus from Anthony. Luckily it was a very slow day down in the daycare. But what was going on in the ministry lately? It seemed like he was getting called places almost every day.

He rushed in and right over to Anthony. "Got here as fast as I could." Yes. Is anyone hurt. "If you have any injuries come to me so I can inspect them." Because that would be best to get things out of the way.

What on earth was going on now? First a few weeks ago it was the lifts, and now this. This she wasn't sure about what was going on exactly.

Caroline had just received a patronus from her Department head. So she headed down to level six to find her boss, Tony. As directed she arrived at level six and made her way over to the breakroom for the department.

Caroline spotted her boss, standing just outside of the room. She came rushing over hearing the sound of heavy rain. "Any Injuries?" She appeared at the shoulder of the Department head. She peered over his shoulder seening a downpour of rain.

As with the other broken charms around the Ministry, this charm revealed it's self. With the same small hole, of course.

Annalise smiled to herself. Ah yes, everything was going according to plan. The broken charm had finally revealed itself and now all she had to do was fix it. "Alright everyone! I'm going to put an end to this crazy weather. Stand back.. everyone that needs healing please go see Bradley, Caroline, or Anthony. Thank you!"

Alright, now it was go time. She pulled out her wand once again, tossing her golden curls back behind her shoulders.

"Aeneas Summanus!" Annalise pointed, taking care to enunciate everything loudly and clearly.

"There now everyone, that outta do the trick!"

Hopefully that was all that was going to be needed. Any more chaos and she was going to have to admit herself to St. Mungo's.

Cale came back just in time to see someone who was NOT his employee - it didn't matter who she was but he'd get to her later - fixing the environment PROBLEM in their office. It was still soaking wet in the room and he had to walk carefully so he didn't sleep, but he approached her and smiled.

"Hello, hi. I'm Cale Newell, Department Head. Um, can I ask who you are? And how did you know what to do?" he asked with a polite smile to make it seem less like he was all WHO ARE YOU WHAT DO YOU WANT and more welcoming and such.

He looked around at his employees. Anyone hurt? No?

Annalise had just been admiring her work when another man came splooshing through the room and began asking questions. "Oh. Um. Hi. I'm Annalise Williams.. Junior Plant Removal Assistant... and uh... I was sent here by my department head with instructions to help and fix the um...problem.." She added quietly, biting her lip nervously. Had she come to the wrong place?

"I'm erm... I'm... sorry for uh.. your floor..I can.. uhm... I can help with that too if you'd like.." She added lamely, smiling nervously up at the man. This is why she usually worked with just plants. They never questioned or looked at her like she was about to be scolded within an inch of her 24 year old life.

Merlin save her. The only person she really talked to was her own department head or Manolo.. and even sometimes that was hard.

Cale blinked. ok, he was just going to skip over the bit about a plant worker coming to deal with maintenance issues. That was odd to him. BUT nevertheless, there wasn't any RAIN anymore!! It was all fixed! Except for the soaking carpet but that was easy to fix.

"Oh no no no, no worries, we can handle it," Cale said with a grin. He couldn't help but feel like this girl thought she was going to be sent to detention or something...detention from HIM? CALE? He couldn't even hurt a fly!

Mutant rats maybe but not flies!

"Thank you very much for your assistance, Miss Williams," he added with another smile. Yes, good, calm down girl, you did good...

Okay. She wasn't in trouble. That was always a good thing.

"Oh, are you sure? I can help... I feel so awful..." Annalise replied nervously, wringing her hands together anxiously as she watched the man. He'd softened up a bit as she had explained herself, but she was still wary.

And now he was thanking her. Merlin bless him and his whole entire family for not yelling at her.

"It was no problem at all Sir. It really was a simple fix.. er... no problem really and no one died so... Um.. Yeah."

Awk.

"If anyone needs me... I'll be... with the plants..."

Please Merlin, let no one need me for the next ten years or until promotion time...

The hole quickly sealed itself, stopping the thunderstorm. Hooray for the nervous awkward girl!

"Don't worry about it! Not your fault the room started...raining," Caleb said with a chuckle. he turned to all his employees who had come to inspect the situation and grinned. Now was the fun part - for them!

"Alright folks, as you can see, we have a water-logged break room on our hands. Let's start fixing it up, shall we?" he asked. "Spit spot!"

And by WE, he meant THEM. Obviously.

laaa dee daaa.

Reese was minding her own business as she looked at her reflection in her pink sparkly compact mirror that she proudly held -- and while she was looking at her reflection, she entered the break room. She suddenly stopped when her EXPENSIVE heels came in contact with a flood of water beneath her feet.

What is MERLIN'S NAME WAS THIS?!?!?!?!?

She was quick to take one step backwards so she was standing out in the hallway and peering into the room where her Department Head and fellow coworkers were at.

... was there a memo she was suppose to read that said they needed her in here?

"I think you have a leak in here, Mr. Newell," she obviously stated. "And now I need a new pair of Louboutins. Thank you VERY MUCH."

A new pair of WHAT?

No, Cale did not have time for this.

"Alright everyone, let's get to work! Scourgify!" he exclaimed, waving his wand at some of the puddles that had formed on the carpet. Once they got that done with (and prevented nasty mold from forming!) they could focus on anything on the counters and stuff that had been ruined.

At least the potted plants probably wouldn't have to be watered for a while...
