Transportation Bonding Camping Trip! The spring air was crisp and cool, but you still only need a light jacket to keep yourself warm. Gabi is bundled up on a hot pink blazer with an adorable black and white spotted scarf and jeans - she's already got a fire going and is happily roasting a marshmallow on a stick, and she has taken the liberty of setting up all the magical tents before you got here. After all, she wants you to BOND and get to know one another, not have to do all the hard work of having to actually set up! Of course, you can talk business, but Gabi would rather everyone get to know each other through making s'mores, singing campfire songs, telling ghost stories, or playing charades and whatnot. Come on in, drop your stuff in a tent, and let's have some fun! OOC: Hey guys! Come on in and start socializing! Camping trip! They were going on a camping trip! Vickers hitched his hiking pack up his shoulders as he trekked towards the campsite. Familiar activity with a familiar boss and OUTDOORS! Brain was happy, heart was happy, so he was happy. He found his Department Head roasting marshmallows already "Hello Mrs Recard." he greeted her as he lowered his bag onto the ground. Picking out a nice spot he settled onto a seating position and extended his arms against the fire. Ah nice and warm! |
Seriously, how awesome was this? First of all, he had the most amazing job ever. After all, who wouldn't want to mess around with brooms all day. And second, he was going camping with his new coworkers! Yeahhhh, the former boy scout was ecstatic, as he hiked into where they were gonna be camping, with all of his camping supplies, including his tent. Except when the campsite same into view, he gave a slight frown. Guess he didn't need his tent... or to start the fire. Though, he was sure that they wouldn't have wanted him to do it the muggle way anyways. Even if those fires were better. Seeing people, Kaiden grinned. "Hi Ma'am" he said to the boss lady, and set his bag down before flopping on the ground next to Vickers. "Hey dude," err, that was not a good enough nickname. "This is great!" |

Keegan couldn't decide if he was really excited about this camping trip or not. I mean it was cool to be camping but with co-workers... hmmm. He had packed pleanty to take with him and had gotten a red plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a puffer jacket in case the weather turned colder. He hadn't seen Gabi since she had gotten married and really didn't know any of the other employees too well. "Hey Gabi!! This is going to be great to get to know everyone." Keegan smiled. Really he wanted to become friends with some co-workers but he just didn't know how. To be honest he wasn't sure he wanted to work within the ministry and didn't know what he wanted to do just yet. |

Alright, starting! Hmm. Well, the turnout wasn't AS good as Gabi had wanted it to be, but oh well. Time to get started anyways! Gabi wasn't going to sit around all day waiting for RUDE people to show up late. "Alright everyone, so the reason I decided to have this little camping trip is because I don't know a few of you - and I'm sure a few of you don't know each other, either. It's a fun way to bond and enjoy this beautiful weather so that, going forward, everyone here in Transpo feels comfortable with each other and we can be the most successful team we can be!" she said with a beaming smile. TRANSPO PRIDE! "So, would you all like to introduce yourself?" she suggested. She'd save herself for last - Gabi's favorite hobby was talking about herself, and wanted as much time as possible at the end for that. |
Ah yes marshmallows. “Thank you Mrs Recard” Vickers said as he reached out and took a handful, then proceeded to make some smores. It was then that a coworker he got acquainted with at the office plopped down next to him. “Hey Kaiden.” He greeted the boy before proceeding to heat up the smores. They had another coworker join them and then their boss decided to get this rolling. Introductions..... oh boy. That means talking about themselves right? Something this former Ravenclaw wasn’t really into. But given that it looked like he was the most senior staffer in this group he might as well go ahead “Uhm... yeah hi. M-My name is Vincenzo Vanderbilt... uhh just call me Vickers. Its easier.” He mumbled at the end “Uhmm... I joined the Department of Magical Transportation a few years after I graduated from Hogwarts, taking care of records—Apparition documentations mostly. So yeah, been here a while...” he tried to smile awkwardly. That feels weird, no lets not do that. “Uhmm... and yeah I’m a thesis away from receiving my Wizarding Engineering degree.” He nodded good naturedly, the only thing that shows how excited he was for it. And yeah... that’s all he could think of about when he speaks of himself. Anything more they ought to ask him directly. Ravenclaws and questions, you know how that goes. |
Snaps to Vickers for making the bold move to go first! And he was going to get his Wizarding Engineering degree? Awesome! But...did that mean she would be losing an employee in the future? Nope, not gonna think about that... "Thank you, Vickers," she said with a grin. "I guess I'll go next..." she added, since no one seemed to be making any more moves to keep going. "I'm Gabriela Recard, I'm the Department Head of this lovely level," she started with a grin. "I recently married my second husband, Armen, and I have a son named Tucker who just graduated Hogwarts last year," she added. "I love eating healthy, doing my nails, and yoga," she finished with an afterthought. Those facts were all pretty obvious if they knew anything about Gabi at all... |
