The Office of Gabriela Recard, Department Head As you walk into Gabi's office, the scent of plumeria hits your nostrils. A soy candle is burning in the corner releasing the heavenly aroma into the air - and all without added chemicals! If there is one thing Gabi loves more than transportation, it's health, and you are more than welcome to grab some pita chips and hummus, which are sitting nicely in the corner of Gabi's desk for her to munch on while working on important department head stuff. There's also a tea kettle heating up magically on the bookcase next to the window - it'll start whistling when it's ready to go, and Gabi has a large array of teas to choose from! Quote:

Soon after having read the announcements board, Vickers made his way to the Department Head's office. He wanted to introduce himself.... or re-introduce himself, because he did remember Ms Gabriela from the camping trip some years past. But then she had a different name.... so maybe this was another Gabriela? A Gabriela that sorta looked like the old Gabriela? Whatever happened to the other guy? And the guy before him, the one he had to share a smelly fishy office with? His department heads always confuse him alas. But now he was there and like the polite Claw that he was, he raised his hand and rapped against the door softly. |

With that, her thoughts were distracted as a knock at the door made her jump slightly. "Come in!" she called. |

"I-I saw the announcement at the board, and well, its a great idea...." he nodded. Theres a lot of things his Department Head posted that he wanted to say but one at a time "Do you uh... you said you're willing to receive contributions for the fruit bouquet? Do you mean like fruits or the basket or something else?" like arts and craft-ing? |

"Hello Mr. Vanderbilt, I remember you from my previous time here," she told him with an inviting smile. Knowing that he was memorable to her might calm him down a bit! "And really, just anything you can contribute, money wise," she explained, pulling a small envelope out of her drawer that she'd been using to collect the money. "It's not required and I wouldn't want anyone to feel forced into it," she added. Those fruit flower bouquets were just too cute though, and she was sure Sherman would appreciate the gesture! |

His shoulders lowered as he visibly relaxed. "Oh I-I can... you know contribute monetarily..." he said as he reached out for the envelope. "I thought you were looking for something more p-personal... uhmmm like us shopping for the fruits or carving or weaving...." yeah like that. "Is the Minister coming here to get it o-or is someone going to deliver it to him?" |

"So, Mr. Vanderbilt, how have things been around here in my absence?" she asked him, leaning back and pouring herself a cup of tea from the kettle on the corner of her desk. "Tea?" she added, offering him a cup as well. "It's green tea with coconut flavoring," she informed him. In case that wasn't his cup of tea. Literally. Hehe. |

Oh dear, his completely crumpled the envelope in his excitement. Straaaaighten out that paper boy. He smiled much easier now at the offer of tea "I-I would love some Ma'am th-thank you." Green tea he's familiar with. Coconut? Well now that was new. He tried not to let that bizarre anxiety creep up and just focus on the fact that its green tea. "Uuhm.... well theres been s-some things thats happened-- The Elections...." Well of course she knew that duh " Th-there were a whole lot of Healers around here last year--b-before the elections." Why they were actually around somewhat confused the young man. And given that his... emergency sabbatical had him surrounded by a whole bunch of Healers as well... lets just say he was a bit weary of them at that point. "D-Did you know that one time, th-they couldnt open the Ministry doors and we had to work in a smelly wharf for our office?" He winced. He had just gotten back from his sabbatical then. And everything was NEW-- his boss, his office, his olfactory senses stuck on fish perfume. Gah! "I really like our office." he murmured sheepishly. It may not be the prettiest, but it was familiar, and alas for the boy who needed to hang onto things that are familiar to him |
