Courtroom Two is a small room, only big enough for a maximum of 20 people at a squeeze. Its usually used for the less high profile cases, or for smaller gatherings of Wizengamot members, in particular those who serve on some of the various subcommittees tend to find themselves here in Courtroom Two.

Sometimes when they need a bit of working space, if the courtroom is not in use, you might find some of the employees of the British Office of Magical Law making use of this space to go over files. Its nice and quiet in here after all.

OOC: You are more than welcome to make use of this space for your own RPs, but if your character is mucking around, they might get asked to move along.

Lost cushions. Who lost cushions in the Ministry? And why couldn't they just summon them back? It wasn't like Legend was saying he was too important for small tasks, he was saying he was simply too awesome.

Just imaging telling someone about his day? "Hey, what did you do today?" Legend whispered to himself. "Oh you know, the usual, looked for lost cushions." He pushed his way into a random courtroom.

Looking around the room he blinked a bit confused. Who would have thought a courtroom would be so small? Woah. There actually WERE seats without cushions. "Hello?" Legend asked in a whisper, taking a step in the room. "Any cushions in here that haven't gone missing?

Emily wasn't in a mood for running small mindless errands... but she wasn't about to tell Izzy where to stick it. No, while Izzy was her friend, she was also her boss. And telling a boss to stick it, wasn't exactly going to get you places.

Having stalked-- more or less-- Chosen to courtroom two, she gazed around... glaring at the seats. Honestly, couldn't they just get new cushions? The old ones probably had many butt-sweat stains on them anyway.

"I don't think talking to the room is going to help," she said with an inkling of amusement in her tone. "This is ridiculous.. "

Leaning over, Emily peered under one of the seats. Nope... not there.

Legend mentally cursed himself as he heard Emily's familiar voice. Not because she was there, though that was bad as well, but because, he was suppose be able to tell if someone was following him by now. And he hadn't been able to. If it had been a test he would have failed.

"Well, at least then I could say I did try." Legend said turning around slowly. See? He would have proof, and all.

"Mmm.. I suppose, but if you were trying, wouldn't you be looking not simply talking?" Because really, asking a seemingly empty room didn't exactly scream trying to look for a cushion.

"Why would anyone want them anyway? That's what I don't understand." She most certainly didn't want old butt-sweat infested cushions. No, she could afford her own, and aside from that, it wasn't that difficult to transfigure a rock into one. Not that she'd tried.

"Think maybe Recard's been hoarding them?... now that he's been demoted?"

Clearly, this was a thought that amused her.

Legend shrugged. "No one said the chairs were charmed to talk and tell about the missing cushions." Alright Emily? No one had said that. That means it was a possibility. Everything was a a possibility unless said otherwise.

"Maybe....they're a threat?" It was possible was it not. Who could the cushions be a threat to though?

Recard. The ministers official lackey. "Don't think so-" Legend smirked. "But if we just go and blame this whole mess on him then we can stop looking and he'd probably end up fired." Fired for stealing cushions. That would look perfect on a resume.

Hoping that she hadn't missed a memo or something, she immediately walked towards one of the courtrooms. One that should be empty today.

And it was too. Thank Merlin for that.

William shrugged a tiny bit and looked up at Alysson. "Basically, your boss is a horrible human being." Just, FYI, putting that fact out there.

She was quite rude to me, so I stood up to her, and she didn't like it." Obviously. "Because then she went to my boss about me, and probably implied that I was unable to get along with other departments." Or some similar falsehoods. William stood up and paced around the desk for a minute, wondering if he should add in the information about his spying on Mysteries.

And tried to make sense of it all. Because frankly right now it didn't. Emily had just...bullied him out of the blue? Yes because of the pants-situation but still. Somehow she was still missing something. And Emily didn't really seem to be the type to just rat him out to his boss just because he'd stood up to her. This was all very confusing. And there was pacing now. Alysson just continued to watch him for a few seconds longer.

Only to step forward and stand in his way once he was done talking. "Stop." Stop pacing, please. This was helping no one. She even held out both hand, palms facing him. If he didn't stop pacing he'd have to walk into right into her. Or well, around her. Which would be quite rude, though.

Stop.... stop? Stop talking? Stop moving? Was he moving? He was moving?! William stood dead still and blinked at Alysson. When had she gotten in his way? He crossed his arms and remained quiet for a moment, just looking at her.

Alysson took a deep breath, clearly relieved that he had at least uncrossed his arms. It seemed like a positive gesture and definitely a step in the right direction. Though, she wasn't entirely sure what the destination was yet. Finding out what had really gone down between Emily and William? Probably. Though she wasn't entirely sure she'd get the full picture. And to be honest, she wasn't TOO keen on talking to her boss about this.

Oh, well. No turning back now. And she DID want to know.

He also took a deep breath, feeling a smidgen better already. Plus, Aly was holding his hands, and he quite liked that. Her touch made him concentrate on her, the positivity of her and not the negativity of anyone else. Should they sit?

"Sure," he followed her slowly. Sitting would keep him still. Probably.

Shrugshrughshrug. William sighed, on the cusp of admitting something. "I just... I like, JUST found out that she had done that, that she had talked bad about me behind my back. So I didn't want to say anything in there and make it worse." It was all really bad timing for him when he was trying to lay low for a while.

OBVIOUSLY she hadn't meant that literally. She was well aware that they hadn't run away. Thank you, William.

Alysson didn't comment on it though, just listened to what he had to say. Relevant things he had to say. None of which really were any news to her. He'd said all that when they'd come in here. Oh. Okay. So there really WAS a link between his argument with Emily and the fact that he hadn't gotten promoted. Up until now Alysson had sooooort of suspected that that was just something William had made up. Not as a lie but rather as an excuse. To put the blame on someone other than himself.

Alysson nodded, just watching him closely for a moment. "I'm sorry you didn't get promoted." Really, what was she doing? This wasn't any of her business. And, as she'd just stated so convincingly (?), she had nothing to do with that. Even though Emily now knew that her and William were close.

Reaching over to give both his hands a soft squeeze she took a moment to just look at him silence. "That doesn't seem fair." She even frowned slightly, briefly staring over his shoulder at the wall behind him. Then her eyes returned to him. "Try talking to her at least. Tell her you're upset about someone else getting picked over you even though you're more qualified." Or at least he'd been with the department for longer. Of course that didn't automatically mean he was more qualified than an outsider.

But it certainly sounded better.

For a moment Alysson wasn't sure if she should tell him off for behaving like a child or if she should just laugh. She chose the latter. But managed to suppress most of it almost immediately, eventually leaving her with just a small grin on her lips. "As long as you don't curse her or wrestle her to the ground I don't think you'd get in trouble with our department." Emily, he would of course get in trouble with her but that was different.

She eyed him for a moment. "Well you can't just leave every room she's in for the rest of your life."

Well no, it wasn't fair. William returned the hand squeeze somewhat reluctantly. "I did talk to her," he sighed. "That's how I found out about all this, ages after it had happened." Hadn't he said that? Couldn't she imagine how embarrassed he had felt, going in to ask for a promotion only to be told that someone had complained about him?!

Nothing he could really do about it now though. What was done was done. He gave her a small smile too, since what she was saying DID make sense, but didn't she know William? "I can and will do that," he laughed shortly and stood up, dropping Aly's hands. "Anyway, I should probably be getting back to the job that I have."

Aly sighed AGAIN and leaned back in her seat, folding her hands on her lap. "Did you explain it to her? What really happened?" Or what had happened according to him. His side. Because even if he couldn't get that one promotion anymore, he might be up for another. There might be a new position opening up. But if his boss didn't think too highly of him, then she wouldn't give that to him either.

Oh. Okay. How mature. "That's rude though." Emily'd pick up on that if he did it ALL the time. And what was probably worse, other people would pick up on it too. "Don't ever come visit me on our floor then." Alysson stayed seated for a few seconds longer before finally standing up as well. "I should go back too." She also had some thinking to do.
