Cadence gave Mr. Masterson a tearful look and a nod before turning and sprinting back toward the pathway, forgetting that she was a 15-year-old gymnast and probably capable of running a lot faster for a lot longer than Mr. Masterson, but she didn't slow down. She needed to get back to Torin. He was just laying there alone. Hopefully, Mr. Masterson would be close enough behind to see where she was headed.
