Shifting Ava in his arms once again so that she was snuggled against his chest, Marcus looked down to see that his daughter had finally drifted off to sleep and he gave her a kiss on the forehead.

He looked back up at Evelyn as she spoke and his expression changed to one of suspicion as he looked at the sweet in her hand.

Desserts and sweets were a specialty of his and he knew that he could easily re-create the candy in question. It was Evelyn's motives behind him re-creating it that had him slightly worried.

"Why do you want me to re-create this particular candy?" He could have made her any sweet that she could want. So why this one?

"I have no problems cooking for you Evelyn but if you're up to something then I will not be a party to it" he said firmly and deciding now was a good time to bring the boys in. Witnesses might be a good thing right now.

"Joshua and Adam, you may come into the office now" he called out but not too loud so that he would wake his daughter.
