Ferris looked back to Vianna as she asked why the scorpion had killed Orion. "Well, it wasn't exactly his idea," the boy started with a weak smile, remembering when he had learned about this particular story in a book on mythology. "You see, apparently one day Orion was boasting to Artemis that he could kill any animal there was. And since Artemis offered protection to all animals, she and Leto got together and sent a scorpion after Orion to teach him a lesson. Later, Zeus sent the scropion up to the heavens, as you can see." The boy pointed up to the sky before continuing, "And later, Artemis asked Zeus to do the same for Orion, to serve as a warning for mortals with excessive pride," he explained with a small smile.
