As Snape stirred in his sleep the thought’s “Oh no it’s the Halloween party tonight”...”What shall I wear?” and “That potter better not cause any mayhem tonight”, all filled his mind.

Snape sat at his desk, it was the second last class of the day and he had the 3rd year Gryffindors and Slytherins for a double. How fantastic he thought bitterly, just as the students flied into the dungeon classroom.

After giving the class, what he thought was quite an easy potion to make, he started to move around the class.

As he moved past the youngest Weasley boy he heard the boy mutter under his breath the words “a dollop of dried lizard eyes” he froze.

“What is that Weasley, can’t you read it says a pinch of dried lizard eyes not dollop, if you were to put a dollop in it would ruin your potion, 10 points from Gryffindor.” Snape sneered at Weasley before moving on to Neville to shout a bit more.

Again as he past he heard what seemed to be a snippet of a conversation between the Muggle-born and her dear friend Mr Weasley.

“Oh come on Ron, please just wear the costume for me, it’s so cute, you would suit the Spiderman look”

“Really?” Snape notice the disbelieving tone in Ron’s voice and the blush on his cheeks from the compliment.

“Yes of course, you would and is that a yes?” When Snape looked up from the caldron he was checking he couldn’t help but notice the smirk on the young girl’s face.

“I guess” Was the last thing he heard as he walked away from the friends and informed the class that they were dismissed.

Snape found a lot of things interesting upon entering the great hall, first was that the Weasley boy was indeed wearing a Spiderman costume, second was that the Dumbledore seem to be wearing his socks on top of his outfit, this would have been that interesting but as they went up nearly to his thigh Snape found this quite perplexing.

As Snape went to bed that night the only thoughts that were going through his head was that he need to grade those 4th year reports...
