Snap, it worked! The Mean Boss Lady's method of dealing with her insubordinates was clearly to ignore them and/or threaten bodily harm upon them. Since he had escaped without a scratch thus far, Rico thought it might be more prudent to get on the good side of MonaMcCoffee.
"Enrico Serio, at your service," he said eagerly, stepping forward to offer her a handshake. "And sorry about my lackadaisical behavior earlier - I wasn't sure where to go or what to do first so I just...settled in, albeit too comfortably." He shuffled his feet a little. "This is such a lovely office, you know."

Rico slowwwly turned his head to glance at the source of the smooth, snobbish voice behind him - some man was standing there with quite possibly the smuggest stance Rico had seen in days. He raised a dark eyebrow at the guy's advice, which obviously didn't apply to him. After all, the bosses had come to him today...just not under the best circumstances.
