CLONK.

The ever-murderous cloak stand greeted Mona as she opened the door to her office. She ducked quickly, drawing her wand from a pocket of her velvet robes. "Stupid...eejit...thing," she muttered. She waved it quickly at the base of the stand. Useless. She may as well use Muggle glue. Must replace it today.

She walked across the room, her lace-up boots clonking smartly. Her bag and midnight blue shawl ended up on some chair or another (her chairs were where everything ended up, eventually) on the way to her desk, where she put down two cups of piping hot coffee. She turned toward the drapes, which she pulled - no, yanked open. She blinked her blue eyes rapidly against the glare of the sunlight; she hated sunlight, really, but she couldn't be productive without a few hours of natural light. Or, of course, coffee.

She sipped one quickly, enjoying the rich aroma. The other was for Getti, of course; she always dismissed subtleties like making one's own coffee. She sighed through her nose and left the office for Getti's lair.
