Post New Mary Grandpre Harry Potter illustrations from art exhibition

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art in Iowa is holding an exhibition of Mary Grandpre's art (which we told you about in October), which includes many never-before-seen illustrations for the American editions of the Harry Potter books. Amongst them are alternative book covers for Sorcerer's Stone (entitled Harry Potter and the School of Magic), Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows; they can be seen in high-resolution format here:













Also part of the exhibition were Mary's renditions of numerous scenes throughout the seven books, including Ron's chess match in the first book; Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement; Harry swallowing the Golden Snitch at the end of his first Qudiditch match; and Professor Lupin teaching Harry to conjure a Patronus:
