600 Years of Diagon Alley CelebrationJoin us this summer in celebrating 600 years of Diagon Alley with a special festival hosted by the Alley's shopkeepers.
As you approach this end of the Alley, you will hear the noises well before you get in sight of a cleared circular space and a colorful sign reading 'Magical BUMPER Cars!'. But these are not your typical bumper cars, oh no. For one thing, these cars are floating about a foot off the ground, for they are powered by, of course, magic!
Get inside one, if you're feeling adventurous, and steer it as best you can at your fellow drivers (but watch out, for they'll be steering at you, too). How do you steer, you ask? Hopefully you've been paying attention in Muggle Studies class, because these cars, though magical, are steered with a good old-fashioned steering wheel. Turn left to go left, right to go right, and hold it steady in the center to go straight ahead. Turn the wheel all the way in either direction, and back you go! And there are the two pedals at the bottom of the car--the pedal on the right makes it go faster and the pedal on the left makes it stop.
And hold on to your hats if someone gets hit, because anything could happen--perhaps it will be a shower of colored sparks shooting over you (perfectly harmless, of course), or perhaps you will be hit by a bushel of feathers. You might find yourself under a magical shower of rain (which dries immediately, leaving the most elaborate hair style unharmed). Perhaps a garden of flowers will sprout around you from the bottom of your car. Whatever it is, it will be both harmless and temporary, so fear not, and start your engines! (And for anyone who gets a little too carried away, be aware that your car might just lose power on its own and sink gently to the floor for a little time out--so no rough stuff!)

OOC: RP your character entering the bumper car and use the steering wheel to steer it. If you try to hit someone, please don't RP the result for them--let your target decide if they got hit and if so, what happened. And remember--play nice! This is all in good fun.
So far Dahlia couldn't complain much about her summer. She was nearly all of the things on her list and sticking to her scheduling book fairly well. Even her training was going alright, some parts of it a little better than others but all in all it wasn't too bad. Lots of time was being spent with all of her family and she was spending time with her friends as well.
The only thing on her list that wasn't really accounted for was.. lots of time with Tadhg. To no fault of their own. He was away in Ireland and though she had gone there to join him for a bit, it wasn't the same. When you got to see someone all day, everyday, not seeing them for a few weeks was waaaaaaay too long to be apart.
Lia spoke to him everyday though and that helped a little. Plus he was coming back in a few days. Sighing quietly to herself, she squinted a little in the early afternoon sunlight. Was she seeing things? Tilting her head slightly she continued to walk towards the line that lead to the Magical Bumper Cars.
Was that? No, no, it couldn't be.. Lia shook her head a little and blinked her eyes. He would've told her if he was coming home earlier. Right? But.. she knew that messy dirty blonde hair anywhere and the height was too perfect. Not to mention those gorgeous sapphire blue eyes that she couldn't look away from when he looked her way.
"Tadhg!" she called out to him, already heading straight for him.

So far Tadhg had a pretth good summer, he did a lot of things on his list thar he wanted to do, which he was happy about that. Although he felt a bit odd not seeing Lia almost every other day or so, but he did talk to her every day but it wasn't the same as seeing her. Although he was happy to see her, so he'll take what he could get. He had a great time in Ireland and missed it terribly it was his hometown, his roots and where he came from but nothing beats being where Lia was.
Watching the people bump into each other and laugh he laughed and smiled as flowers came out of ones bottom of their bumper car. He couldn't wait to drive and get bumped into himself, the experience have to he more fun then just watching it. Every step he gotten closer the more excited he became, he was ready to have some fun and get bumped into a bumpes into others. Although he wasn't aggressive in these things, sometimes it was unavoidable and people did do it for fun. Okay... he was competitive, but he knew his limits when it comes to things and this was one of themm. He didn't want to get thrown off or out the bumper cars, but he wasn't that bad he didn't think.
Hearing a familiar voice calling his name, his ocean sapphire blue eyes looked through the crowd and smiled. "Dahlia! Bubbles!" He was so glad to see her face to face, he missed her so much. "I missed you so much, I know we talked to each other every day but it wasn't the same." Hugging her tightly he let her go after a few minutes. [B]" I'm almost up on the bumper cars you wanna join me?"[//b] He knew that she probably waa going to, but he wasn't sure if she just got done eating or not.

Her first target? Why, Kalen, of course. Not only because he was there with her, but well, most of the other people there looked younger than them, Anna didn't want to scare them off or anything.
She'd be keeping an eye out to see if any of those kids acted Gryffindor-like so she knew she was okay to go and hit them too, teehee. But for now: the boyfriend!
"INCOMIIIIING!!!!!" Again, no time to waste!!
How had food not worked? Kalen wondered as Anna shoved him into a bumper car. Yes, that smirk on her face while she fastened his seat belt wasn’t helping matters. He knew that look. That look didn’t mean anything good. Still, he grudgingly guessed he trusted Anna. She would know if this really wasn’t safe right? Heck, most parents wouldn’t let their kids on here if wasn’t safe right?
He was still trying to decide on the danger level, as well as trying to figure out how to work the dark car when Anna came barreling towards him. ”Holy Harry Potter!” he braced for impact…

The moment he had wrapped his arms around her in a hug, everything else around them had been forgotten. Nothing else mattered. Dahlia had flung her own arms tightly around his waist and there she clung to him silently for several moments. "I missed you too," she whispered, tilting her head back so she could peer up at him without letting him go. Sorry NOT sorry but she wasn't ready to let him go yet.

"A motorcycle only fits one person. Or maybe two if they like each other enough to share a seat." Not that she was complaining, but if Morgan wanted to take her on a motorcycle trip, then that was like... a decision. If he really did want a trip like that... "I'd like that. But a bus is fun too. Maybe it becomes a bit more party and a bit less travel, but sounds fun. We'll get Auggie to pay for it."
Phoebe crashed into Morgan when he stepped on the gas, and she scrabbled for something to hold onto. His arm, the wheel, both. It spun easily at her touch, much more sensitive than she would have expected, and the car veered sharply in her direction. "Watch out! The Red Hornet is going to stiiiiing all of you!" Under her breath, she added, "No, horrible name. Red Death. Red... Thunder. Dead Red Head."
"I'm pretty sure it fits two," Morgan replied as he thought about it. He was certain he'd seen two people riding motorcycles before. "There's a sort of back seat and the person has to sit behind the driver with their arms around their waist." That was the only place to hold on, which seemed cozy and cool at the same time. "I'm going to get a motorcycle one day, but a party bus is a better idea for all of us anyway." They all had a big friend group and if they were going to go on a road trip party, that made the most sense. But he was still determined to get that motorcycle at some point. And yeah, Auggie was rich, wasn't he? Morgan was agreeable that he could foot the bill. It would probably be nothing for him.
Yesssss! Morgan loved the speed of the car, even if they didn't have much control of it yet and they were being jostled around together. He whooped loudly as Phoebe steered them towards some unsuspecting car and he kept his foot firm on the accelerator. He kind of liked Red Hornet, but he glanced at Phoebe as she considered different names. "How about Red Menace? The Red Menace is going to rub you all out!" He warned everyone in the near vicinity, though he was loud enough that everyone there probably heard him. Yeah, he still liked Red Hornet better.

It almost sounded more fun than a party bus, because as much as she loved her friends, getting time with Morgan wasn't easy.
"RED MENACE," Phoebe shrieked as they hit a wall, and a POOF of bubbles exploded out from under their car, leaving them in a sudsy cocoon for a moment before the bubbles dispersed. She cackled in delight and gave up the wheel to Morgan to steer. She bumped over his foot and stamped on the gas, trusting the other car would get out of the way.

Evan’s question about the Bumper Cars did cause Lisa to raise her eyebrows curiously. Points for hitting Nam siblings or patrons? She hoped for both because she had her eye on a couple of people that looked either pretty easy to get or make feel really bad for getting an ickle girl. Then she would strike Wasn’t it just fun to be adorable and tiny and innocent? Hehehe…. NOT!
Maya suggested something rather logical when it came for scoring. Lisa thought it was a decent way to approach it. 1 point for other patrons and 2 points for each other. “So it’s a true sibling competition, yeah?” she commented before turning back to scan the crowd for unwilling victims and weakest links. Oh no… she wasn’t plotting at all. Nope. Yep. Nothing to see here.
Lisa scanned her options before settling (rather quickly and obviously) on the light pink one. She pointed it to Maya and hurried over there. “Alright. Ready,” she spoke to her older sibling and quickly glanced around to see who was near them. She was praying that none of her friends saw Maya help her in. “I wish I was taller. I wish I was taller. Is there a spell to make me taller?”

Tadhg didn't know his smile was contagious when it came to her, all he knew that he was happy to see her. "Why are you apologizing for? I don't mind it in the least Bubbles. He homestly didn't he missed her hugs and her warm smile as well how her eyes sparkled happily whenever she was happy or excited about something. Chuckling lightly he nodded. "I know what you mean, it felt like months to me as well, long boring months." He knes it was only a few weeks but felt longer to him as well. He didn't think she was clingy by any means, he knew how she felt by how she waa acting towards him, besides actions speak louder then words they say.
Shaking his head laughing he shook his head at her, he knew that she wasn't going to bite his finger, but it was still funny none the less. "Sure I can do that!" Hs wasn't going to let her out of his sight now that he gotten her back, nope not anytime soon. Letting her go he seen that they were about to be up to ride the bumper cars, he was excited. Looking down at her he smiled at her and kissed her cheek once again. "We're about to be up, are you ready for this?" He asked leading them towards the bumper cars. "Which color should we get?" He asked her.

Hard to believe that was true in a real car, but maybe she was missing the point of Muggle driving. "Red Menace is a good car, aren't you, bud?" She gave the car dashboard a pat pat pat.
"Now that we have a someday future trip planned, we'll have to hammer out the details for the friend trip. Or maybe we shouldn't do that without said friends?" One point for the other patrons and 2 for each other? That certainly sounded logical to him. "Do we lose a point too if we are hit by other patrons?" He was fine if not, but figured was still worth the ask to make sure ALL of their bases were covered on how this was going to work.
He stood back and watched his sisters as they claimed their cars, and Maya helped Lisa into one. He wasn't 100% if Maya would have been alright getting her in, but they both did fine and now looked just about ready to go. So he figured it was his turn.
Evan turned to find another available car, settling on a green one and hoisting himself in and getting as comfortable as possible. He supposed they were off, so he started moving his bumper car and decided to take the defensive first.
And by that, he meant by running away from his sister's and hopefully avoiding other patrons in the process. He very much doubted this would be successful in the long run.

Max was SO tempted to use magic over the holidays. He had read up on the law against underage magic and learned that he would not be punished for performing spells in the vicinity of adult witches and wizards, because the Ministry would not be able to determine who really did it. Diagon Alley was perfect, since it was always full of adults that he could blame if he was caught. Anyway, the point was that he did not need magic at the moment due to his hat no longer blocking his vision.
Sense of relief at being recognised was quickly replaced by confusion. Ummm. Why was she so sure that his name was Matt? Why was she smirking and wiggling her eyebrows? (Eyebrow wiggles were absolutely the most difficult gesture to interpret.) Wait, was she making fun of him for some reason? The black-haired boy shook his head once. "It's Max. Your name ... starts with a V." Or was that it? V? So many questions in this paragraph.
"Are you here alone?" he asked.
Oh. Max. "Close enough." She shruuuuuugged in an unbothered way and turned to look at the cars. They were letting people on, and V was EXCITED! "It does, actually. Brilliant job!" and she snapped her fingers in a pleased way at him. The line began to move forward at a snail's pace, so V turned around, but she made sure to speak over her shoulder at him. "I am! I was supposed to meet some friends, but I couldn't find them, so hereeeee I am! OOOH!" she quickly hopped into car when it was her turn, and she waved at Max. "Wanna TEAM UP and try to bump other people?!" she called out as she got all buckled and READY.
She had picked a pink car on purpose. As far as she was concerned, Max had remembered her name was V (well, started with a V, but did he know she WENT by just V????) and soooOOooo she was going to be his friend. He was LUCKY.

Maya pursed her lips as she thought about Evan's question. "No, I don't think it'd be fair if you ended up with negative points," she said, a glint in her brown eyes.
She helped Lisa into the bumper car swiftly, careful to not let other watch. [b]"Don't worry Lees, you'll be taller than me soon," Maya promised. After all, Lisa was getting around that age she would be getting a growth spurt, wasn't she? Maya knew she had grown quite a bit herself, now standing proudly at a whooping 5 feet. She added on afterwards, "Let's take Evan out first and then go at each other." She made sure the seatbelt on Lisa was tight enough before walking away and patting the back of the pink bumper car.
Maya walked towards the blue bumper car, and gave an innocent smile at Evan then saluted.
This was war.
She tightened her own seatbelt and jetted towards the center, hearing herself let out an excited giggle at the prospect of bumping into her siblings and everyone else around her.

Phoebe shrieked in delight as they struck another car and their bubble bath was replaced by a shower of sparks. It was sort of more fun to crash the car than to not, wasn't it? Hard to believe that was true in a real car, but maybe she was missing the point of Muggle driving. "Red Menace is a good car, aren't you, bud?" She gave the car dashboard a pat pat pat.
"Now that we have a someday future trip planned, we'll have to hammer out the details for the friend trip. Or maybe we shouldn't do that without said friends?" Morgan was having a great time with their magical bumper car and he laughed again as they were showered with the colorful sparks. "Best car in the lot!" Everyone else should be shaking in their boots with them on the road. "You picked a good car."
"Uh, yeah, we should probably wait," he agreed, thinking it would probably be best as a joint decision. He was also the spontaneous sort, so real plans were best left up to others, even if he could contribute some ideas. He sometimes had good ones. "Or we could think up some suggestions then see what everyone thinks."
"You wanna steer again?" he offered to Phoebe as she put her hand on the wheel. He could handle the accelerator. "Pretty much!" he grinned. "Except for the crashing part. Those aren't as fun with a muggle car." Not that he'd ever been in a car accident, but he knew enough about cars to know that much.

Lisa had turned her attention to Maya when Evan had asked his question. It was a wise clarifier but at this point Lisa just wanted to go.. She turned to him and smirked. “Strategy: pretend it’s golf? Lowest score wins. So the lower the negative score, the better.” Lisa, however, had no intentions of losing. She did giggle at Maya’s response to their elder brother. Hehe.
Soon the girls were by themselves as Maya assisted her into her car. Her eyebrows raised when Maya commented on her height and how soon enough Lisa would be tall. She huffed. “But not tall enough yet. I’m going to be the shortest Nam in all of Nam history!!!” she poured with arm flails. It was UNFAIR. Noah was TALL to begin with. Evan had grown to a whopping 5’6. And EVEN Maya had broken 5’0. Meanwhile little Lisa was still little at 4’10…. Well 4’8 and a half on a good day. “You’ll still love me if I’m short. You won’t disown me?” she asked the ridiculous question. She knew it was ridiculous but she was seeking affirmation from the one person who she constantly felt the need to get it from.
Maya did get a smirk when she mentioned to go for Evan first and Lisa nodded, showing that she understood the request. “Alrightie Aphrodite. Let’s go,” she pretended to flick her sunglasses from her head to the bridge of the nose and then gripped her car tightly.
Time to rumble.
Car at the ready. She jetted herself forward with a squeal, heading for a certain brother of hers. “Target locked.”

As Maya answered, he nodded his head. Negative points did seem unfair and like it might make the game discouraging. It took a minute before he realized she had said it would be unfair for himwhich was probably true. "Hey! Just for that, I'm sure karma will make it so that I win against both of you." He was not actually sure of that at all.
He continued to watch the girl's get settled before his defensive maneuvers had began. He also did catch sight of Maya's innocent smile and salute his direction, which while he had not been privy to their conversation about how they were teaming up against HIM, he knew that an innocent Maya spelled trouble. His eyes narrowed suspiciously.
It only ended up being fuel for how quickly he could run away evade his sisters.
But in order to make sure he was evading, he was looking BEHIND him and not paying much attention to whatever was in front of him. Was there another patron he was about to hit or who was headed towards him? Who knew!

Maybe it can be.. too much?" Not everyone like to be hugged on constantly. Even boyfriends might want their space, that went for siblings, other family members, friends and creatures too. Papa had reminded her of that many times over the last year or so. "Uh-huh, incredibly long boring months."
Nope, she wouldn't bite him. She was only being playfully. When he let her go, she grabbed his hand. There wasn't anyway she was letting them somehow end up be separated. No chances were going to be taken! Lia smiled at the kiss upon her cheek though. "Ummm, one that screams to us both?" In other words it had to be the perfect car for them. Only the best one would do. "Our favorite colors?"

Phoebe was delighted to take back the wheel, spinning wildly into oncoming traffic. They somehow managed to narrowly miss the cars she was aiming at, each one scooting out of the way juuuuuuuuuust seconds before their bumpers connected. Rude! Didn't anyone want to take one for the team?
"The Red Menace is coming for yooooooou," she spun the wheel again, aiming at the back of the blue car that had narrowly escaped. "If you offer suggestions to people, MoMac, then you have to consider their dumb opinions in the game plan. What if someone wants to drive through the countryside?"
And BOOM, they connected with the backside of the blue car. Were those... flower petals?

Just as soon as Freddie pulled out he felt something collide into him, "Woah!" His head knocked forward nearly hitting the wheel. He turned his head to see who hit him, it was an older guy, he didn't know how old but definitely not a student. He laughed, "I'm good, nothing broken" only to laugh a little harder at seeing him crash into the wall. "Are you okay Mister?" The almost thirteen-year-old quickly span the wheel driving forward out into the open. There was another car to be hit but who though?
Closing his eyes, Freddie put the pedal to the medal and drove straight until he bumped into someone or something.
Seeing that it took a minute for Evan to register what she had said, gave the young girl a sense of pride. Her smirk remained firmly in its place as she gave a quick wink to her younger sister. "Karma has nothing on us," she joked. After all, she did not believe some cosmic force of the universe was going to make it so both Lisa and herself lost. The odds were just stacked against their elder brother. Maya was certain if Noah were here, he would be the one to lose though.
She smiled at Lisa, "I would never disown you," she promised, holding out her little pinky finger for the girl. "Even if you shrink so small, you fit through a keyhole in a door, I'll still love you."
She turned back to look behind her once she had reached the middle, just to see where everyone was. Maya was careful to avoid Lisa, knowing fully how maniacal the youngest Nam could be - no one was safe from the pink monster. Her brown eyes searched the space rapidly before her eyes locked onto a certain green car. The ends of her mouth curled into a smile and she pushed her foot down on the right petal - be careful, Evan, Maya was coming for you.

If Noah was here, she would have teamed up with him and gone after Evan and Maya... However, she did know that she would have done that a few years ago. But after her first year at Hogwarts, she felt closer to Maya and Evan.
She glanced up at Maya with eyes as wide as saucers when her sister told her that she would never disown her. Lisa took her pinkie and hugged her pinkie finger with Maya’s before giving her a big smile with sparkly eyes (she wasn’t tearing up- it was her RPER instead). “I’ll love you too. Always. Not just cause you’re my sister. I’d love you if you weren’t my sister and wish you were my sister but you’re my sister.”
Carefully secured and now driving, Lisa made sure to slow down as she headed into the curve. Had to be responsible... She was now TWELVE, ya know?! However.... Her eyes flicked to her siblings and she smirked as she slowly decided to ... no surprise... target poor Evan. She let out a soft cackle and sped to catch up with him.
