600 Years of Diagon Alley CelebrationJoin us this summer in celebrating 600 years of Diagon Alley with a special festival hosted by the Alley's shopkeepers.
As you make your way down the street, you may find your eyes drawn to a brightly painted booth near the end. If you're feeling artistic, you've come to the right place! This booth offers custom commemorative items that you can decorate yourself for a small fee of 1 galleon and 10 sickles. How do you do it? It's simple!
First, choose your t-shirt, pointy hat, or tote bag from the wide array of colors provided by Madam Malkin's. Then have a seat at one of the tables at the end of the booth. There you'll find all the supplies you need to create your masterpiece. Various brushes and fabric-safe inks, all provided by Scribbulus Writing Implements, sit in the middle of each table. There are inks in every color imaginable, as well as some magical glow-in-the-dark, color-changing, and flashing inks. There's even a special moving ink to bring your designs to life! Feeling uninspired? There are a variety of stamps and stencil designs to help get your creative juices flowing.
Designing not your thing? Not to worry! This booth also offers face-painting courtesy of Paradise Piercings and Tattoos. Whether you fancy something small and simple or an elaborate full-face design, there's something for you.
Just step up to the counter and tell one of the shopkeepers what you'd like. The only limit is your imagination!

Sapphire would be beautiful as a floral colour and maybe it could work with lilac. Heck. Sapphire blue was a beautiful eye colour. Like her friend, V’s, eyes. She wondered if the girl charmed them like Aboli, her brother’s girlfriend, did. She highly doubted that V had because…. It was V. She was probably born with the beautiful eye colour and not Lisa’s brown ones. “I want blue eyes like V” she blurted out with a sigh.
Lisa did like the idea of Favourite flowers and leaves and vines! The vines would be a nice though, she reckoned. The more Lia spoke, the more Lisa’s imagination spun a colour full tapestry of flowers, vines, branches, and leaves all different colours. Majestic indeed. “Yes! And some branches too!” "
One of the face painters had noticed them and before Lisa could respond Lia had it all covered. So lisa simply waited and smiled at the person who had called them over before adding a quick remark. “It should frame our face and be an extension of a flower crown.”

So many colors. So many flowers. So many ideas! It was so hard to choose. The more she spoke, the more she wanted it all. That probably wasn't going to be possible though and Lia knew she was going to maybe have to narrow down her ideas a little bit. Lisa's voice cut through her thoughts. Huh? V had blue eyes? Honestly Lia didn't really know that, she didn't know her all that well and hadn't stared at her eyes. Lots of people had blue eyes though, like most of her family. Herself included and Tadhg. "Are they sapphire blue?" she couldn't keep herself from asking.
Now it was Dahlia's turn to quickly nod her head in agreement. "Branches! Of course!" How could she have forgotten something as important as branches?! "Good thinking!"
Lia smiled brightly when Lisa went on to quickly add how they would like the design to frame their faces. "If that's doable, of course." She didn't want to take up to much of the women's time if there was other people waiting.

She had managed to hold it for approximately 7 seconds before sticking out her tongue, her now famous expression, and letting the sweet drop to the ground. “Eeggggggggghhhh!!” Wow, muggles we’re more hardcore with their sour sweets than she had expected.
“Yes, precisely.” She turned to smile brightly, then deciding to let Atlas do whatever he wished to do with his tote bag, as long as they were both doing ice creams then they still matched. That being said, Remy started to focus harder on her creation, leaving a pause of creative silence between them. After finishing up with the first flavour, she drew another scoop ready for her second favourite. Cookies and Cauldron Cakes. “Mmmm… this is making me hungry. Wanna go to Floreans after this?” Remy glanced back to him.
Him? Joke? Unheard of. Though maybe it was partly rhetorical. Not his fault that she had said she didn't want her tongue to corrode! Though, maybe once he stopped to think about it, perhaps it was that experience that had turned her off from the whole sensation. Would only make sense. Sometimes two plus two equaled for and other times it equaled duck. Could be a toss up just like with his thoughts spewing out unfiltered.
"Good," he grinned, that grin turning into a small cocky kind of smirk. Remy just had that effect on him, she was like an air pump to his big head in many ways. In others though, it was gentler. A side of the coin he had not yet acknowledge and who knew when he actually would. But her attention and affection came with a certain kind of validation that the Gryffindor did not even really want to acknowledge he was seeking. Insecurities were like that, go figure. "Glad you can get on my level. Sometimes it can be lonely uo here."
He wasn't sure he felt bad or if he was amused. He was a little irked that a perfectly fine piece of candy had just been spit on to the floor, but it had belonged to dad first and not himself so, technically, it had not really cost Atlas anything so it was a point he could easily dismiss. "You okay?" he asked, patting his pockets for another candy he had brought with him. "Here. Eat this. It'll help," he said while offering her a little candy hard on the exterior but with honey on the inside to coat the tongue. "Unless you're allergic to honey, that is."
Finding his grove, Atlas swiftly made his way through the next couple of flavors (including one of Cookies and Cauldron Cakes!) and added glitter for accents only. He was debating his last couple, glitter now all over his fingers and across his brow thanks to wiping it earlier, he glanced over at her and nodded. "Sounds ace. Let's do that." Sitting here in the summer heat and partly shaded from the sun as it moved across the sky kind of demanded something cool to be consumed. "We should get the big sundae and then divide the scoops up. Most ice cream for your galleon and you get toppings included."
Settling on his remaining flavors (Rocky Road and Banana Pudding), he got to painting and adding a couple of details and dated his work in the lower right corner of the bag.

He didn’t have to say anything, she knew that he was happy about her failure deep down, which made her defeat more bruising. She could feel her face turning a little pink, more with frustration rather than just embarrassment alone. She did appreciate the offer of a honey sweet to compensate, though. “Thanks,” she quickly popped it into her mouth, and it didn’t take long for it to ease the sour. “Think that definitely corroded part of my tongue.” Remy pouted, thinking about suing Atlas for it.
Or suing his dad for owning Toxic Waste, or the muggles for producing it.
“Mmmmm…” The more they discussed the ice cream shop, the more her attention had diminished from her tote bag and she placed all of the materials back in their place. “That sounds perfect, let’s go right now.” Also - the excitement to SHARE a sundae with Atlas was just absolute confirmation that they had to leave ASAP. That’s what boyfriends and girlfriends did, JUST SAYING.
Remy slung her new bag over her shoulder and did a pose for Atlas. “If you’re ready?” She didn’t want to ruin his creative juices flowing.
