Post Sunday school with Harry Potter?

We've all heard about it; some people believe that Harry Potter is evil and a representation of witchcraft. Well if you were under the impression that all churches thought this way, you were wrong. According to the Morning News, Harry Potter entering Sunday School classes isn't an unrealistic idea. A new study guide by the name of Mixing it up with Harry Potter, written by Owen Smith, helps children deal with those massive issues such as death, sacrifice, loneliness, fear, mercy, and grief, whether in or out of church.

Smith was quoted saying this about the Harry Potter novels:

Quote:
"The magic in the books is simply part of the magic that J. K. Rowling has created, in the same way that magic is part of the world of Christian writers such as C. S. Lewis," said Smith. "To say ... these books draw younger readers towards the occult seems to me both to malign J. K. Rowling and to vastly underestimate the ability of children and young people to separate the real from the imaginary."
