I LOVE this series! I couldn't stop watching it. I got pulled in pretty quick and think that it was really well done. I want to read the books now as well.

Who was your favorite character so far?
I just finished reading ALL of the books after seeing the 1st season of the series as well! I love them all - such fun to see each sibling take the leading role in their book.
So I love Penelope Featherington!! And I think her secret is epic, no one ... not a soul suspects here and it's just great!!!!!!
I have started watching this is looking really good so far

Definitely Eloise Bridgerton. (she somehow reminds me of my own sister, which is funny )
EDIT: Also, I have to add Lady Danbury to my faves. Love that feisty woman.

I legit just finished season one Benedict and Eloise are possibly my top two faves because they're the misfits of the family; they're different. I gravitate towards Eloise since I can easily relate to her: a book lover, hates getting all dolled up and that sort of thing.
Other faves are Anthony, Colin and Penelope. I can't wait to get started on season 2 because of Kate. She looks like me and from the clips I saw of her, she's quite feisty

I LOVE Kate. The books are so much fun as well, I've not been a HUGE fan of some of the add ons they've done with the plot in the show but overall it's still one of my favorite series - both book and TV.

Anthony and Kate's love/hate relationship and then them admitting their feelings for each other is what kept me intrigued the entire time. I loved watching Anthony mature further and being humbled by Kate.
I adored how everything was kept so precise when it came to the Sharmas' culture: Edwina calling Kate 'Didi' {which means 'older sister' in Hindi. Younger siblings are taught to call their older sisters this. My sister calls me Didi for as long as I can remember, and I'm pretty sure she forgets my actual name at imes }, the Haldi {Tumeric} Ceremony where the tumeric paste is being applied to Edwina is a custom followed before a wedding; the bangles Kate's mother gave her is a traditional gesture; and finally... The melody they used during the Haldi Ceremony is actually a popular Bollywood song, and my gosh! It sounds so good in this instrumental version! {I'm actually listening to it on repeat right now}.
I really wish Colin would open his eyes! Like... he really can't see that Pen likes him in THAT way? Theo and El... I'm still not sold on them as a couple so I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in upcoming seasons.
Another thing I love tho? The sibling relationship between Kate/Edwina and Benedict/El. Their moments are so precious

I just thought I loved Simon/Daphne, but they don't compare to how much I enjoyed the Anthony/Kate storyline. The plot was much better than the plot in season one, and even before I knew Anthony/Kate would end up together, I was shipping them! Episodes 6, 7, and 8 were my favorite all because I saw their love/hate relationship finally take a turn!
Alicia, I love that they are keeping the culture as it is supposed to be! I'm glad you clarified things like the bangles and tumeric paste! I know you were thrilled to see them included!
I can't wait to see what comes of Colin/Penelope! It'll be so interesting to see her in that kind of role! Same with Eloise! She is SUCH a great character! AHHHH, can season three come out now? lol

One thing I will say about the show versus the books (not SUPER spoilery) is that they make Benedict much more likable in the show than his book. Was NOT a huge fan of him in his book and I hope they make a few more tweaks to keep him in my good graces Other characters were the standout in his book!
I also hope Anthony and Kate stick around for more seasons. It makes sense that Simon isn't around (as much as it pains me to say it!) because in the books, he isn't around much either and neither is Daphne, which makes sense. It isn't THEIR story. But since Anthony is head of the household that gives me hope that they won't get such an unceremonious exit from the show any time soon
