Her self-esteem had been much higher back in huge day, which was one of the things she most longed to have back. Well, it seemed as if some things wore away with age. It just, unfortunately, had to be that. Sure, she had time to thank for changing her from a complete witch to a much nicer version of herself, but it had it's drawbacks. Who was once the social butterfly that reigned over was now a lonely, middle-aged witch who would much rather stay inside with a book than go to an elaborate event. "I would like to think so as well, Jasper," Marcela told the man with raised eyebrows, but not in that of an intimidating way. That would not be like her, in the slightest. At least, not anymore. "Why yes," She replied, noticing how he had an interesting degree of curiosity. He had many questions, did he not? "I'm mainly Romanian, and the French is more of a minority, I'd say." Jasper took the raised-brows expression with good humour. Marcela might be the sort of person who kept one on one's toes, but so too was his best friend in her own way and he didn't mind in the least. In fact, you could say that he rather enjoyed being kept in line. Control; It was something Jasper never really had a very good relationship with.
"Ooh, Romanian. That's a bit similar to French, isn't it? At least they are both Romance languages." Although, he'd never heard a side by side comparison of the tongues. He'd run into the bit of information while he was living in Iran. Maybe, a job was also why Marcela was in Great Britain. His mind started to race with curiousity over the witch's travels 'n such and then thinking of his own. He wanted to ask her if she'd ever ridden a flying carpet before, but he forfeited that idea for fear that it would sound very much like the start of a pick-up line, and HELLO she went to Beauxbaton wch in Jasper's mind meant she had too much class to stand for that. Not to mention that a question like that was totally and utterly RANDOM!!!!! So, instead he asked something like, "How are you liking Britain, Marcela?"

Stomp stomp stomp POUNCE splash stomp stomp.
Hmmm, catching her prince was proving to be a lot more difficult than she had first thought. "Princesses can do whatever they want, papa said so," she nodded as she stomped her way closer to another toad. Although the context for that statement was entirely different than right now. But Alter didn't need to know that. "I don't need a matchmaker," she said, sticking her tongue out at him. Why would she want a toad matchmaker anyway. She was looking for a prince. Peasant Servant Alter's logic confused her.
She moved closer and closer to the toad - which seemed too lazy to want to move from its spot - and with one quick leap she jumped through the air, landed on the poor thing, and resurfaced from the shallow water with it clutched in her tiny hands around its midsection. "TEHEEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHE!" she giggled as she ran back towards her companion. "I CAUGHT ONE I CAUGHT ONE!" And then she practically shoved the toad in Alter's face to make sure he could see. Now she just needed to give it a big 'ol kiss to get her prince.
"Alter," she squealed as she shoved the toad further in his face. And nope, she did not hear him explain how to pronounce his name properly. "You need to hold my prince while I climb out of here. Papa said something about a person who can let me take him home with me." And then her and her prince could live happily ever after.
THE END! "Technically, the Prime Minister would be more important," Altair corrected her. As much as he loved what King George did for this country, it was really the Prime Minister that ran things. The more she splashed, the more he got wet and it was rather irritating because all he could think about was how much he wanted some hand sanitizer right now. "I'm just worried about Salmonella right now," he said with a disgusted look on his face and some slime just soared over his shoulder. "And in case you were wondering what that was, it's something that will make you very, very sick." Not that he was doubting the people running the event, it was just something he didn't want to risk.
The princess was certainly opinionated. "Hmm, maybe I should meet this papa of yours to ask?" Altair was looking around, but the crowd had grown significantly and he didn't know who he should look like. But, eyeing over the ground came to a halt when he heard the little girl squeal with delight as she caught her "prince." The poor little guy. Altair could almost see panic in the toad's eyes, like a cry out for help. And then she shoved the toad in his face causing him to panic and he fell backwards and hit his head hard on the ground.
He heard her saying something about wanting to hold her prince, but all he could see was stars buzzing around his eyes as he stared up as the sky. Visions of Princess Sachi on a throne with a giant prince with a toad's head on a throne filled his head and he was bowing wearing peasant clothes and covered in warts.

Visions of Princess Sachi on a throne with a giant prince with a toad's head on a throne filled his head and he was bowing wearing peasant clothes and covered in warts. The prime what? The only prime Sachiko knew about was the prime rib that papa sometimes made for dinner. She preferred to just eat the mashed potatoes that came with it though since she was not so good with using a knife yet. Hence why she failed to see how a piece of meat was more important than a princess. Maybe he was hungry? And he must be, because he was talking about salmon now. But then he said that it made people sick, so WHY would he be hungry for something that would make him sick?
Then again, she was sort of allergic to chocolate, but that never stopped her from eating it. And she didn't like fish either, so they had that in common.
So she just sort of shrugged his words off in a suit yourself sort of manner. "Okay." She looked down at her toad prince and beamed a little. She better kiss him outside of the aquarium so that his prince clothes didn't get all wet. She would just ask papa to use his magic stick to make her all dry. "Papa said he would be back." And that she was supposed to stay in one spot.
When Alter fell over backwards, Sachiko nearly dropped her toad. Somehow managing to hold on to it, she climb out of the aquarium and dropped to the ground with a soft thud before running over to stand over Alter. "Are you going to take a nap?"

The fuzzy images of Altair bowing down to Princess Sanchi and her frog head prince and being covered in slime and hopping about, was starting to fade. "I'm tired of hopping, Your Majesty," he mumbled as he was slowly waking up to a sweet voice hovering above him. His eyelids fluttered open to see the little girl still holding her toad. "Please keep that thing away from me," Altair said as he slowly raised up. He has such a head rush. Altair scratched the back of his head and he could feel a small lump. "Oh, great," he said as he stood. He was a bit taller than Sachiko now that they were standing side by side. "If it's okay with you, I'll step back a little, just to leave room for the prince to appear," he said as he took a step backwards.
She was covered in grime as she held the poor toad that looked helpless and in a panic at the same time. "Well, I suppose there's no stopping you, go on then," he encouraged. Who knows? Maybe the toad really would turn into a prince and that would certainly be a spectacle to see and his first bit of magic. As disgusting as it was, it certainly was intriguing at the same time.

Sachiko stared at the boy, head cocked to the side curiously. "You weren't hopping. You were sleeeeeeeeeeeping." Mama would never have approved of such a place to take a nap. Maybe his mama was different.
Hmph. Was Alter afraid of her prince? It wasn't like he was going to poke his eyes out or anything. Not HER prince. But, maybe, just to be safe she would not kiss him right now. She liked Alter and would rather nothing bad and icky happen to him. "Okay," she said as she tucked the toad away in one of her pockets instead. "I'm going to go find papa so we can adopt him," she beamed. "You can come with me if you want."
But he didn't have to. He had proven that he was no normal peasant. He could be......................................a knight in her court. OH! Wait! That meant she had to do something special for him. But she thought that maybe it could only be done at night. The words were the same after all.
