“Yeah,” he said at her question, a faint nod following as his gaze drifted somewhere just past her shoulder before returning. “Nothing too ambitious.”

“Mostly just… home,” he added, tone even. “Beach, probably. My dad’s very set on making it a routine. Same stretch of sand, same terrible umbrella, same argument about sunscreen.” There was the slightest hint of dry amusement there, barely there but real. “It’s… not very academic,” he went on, glancing at her briefly. “Which I’m not complaining about.”
