Intrigued, she made her way over to where the fruit bowl was. She gave Emma a smile. "Hey!" Yep, Emma was determined. Something was definitely up.
It didn't take her new friend long to catch up to her and find the meeting place. For one it wasn't far from their common room which made it ideal. It was also usually relatively quiet in the kitchens - other than the house elves which Emma had learned over the last five years that if you were nice to them, they often found a way to sneak you extra food or comfort foods when you weren't feeling good. She never really understood how people could be cruel to the elves, but unfortunately throughout her fifteen years of life, she'd learn sometimes the world wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Enough of that though, as she tried to bring the sunshine wherever she went, it was all she could do. "Hey. I figured this would be a good opportunity to show you how to access the kitchens. It's kind of cutesy actually, you just find this pear portrait and tickle it." She launch into her full pro and con list she'd been working on regarding quidditch once they were in the kitchen with some warm cocoa in front of them. Mostly pros of course. If she'd put this much effort into her lessons and homework as she did quidditch, she'd have gotten all Outstanding marks.
