~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Johnny was in a mood. Not his usual happy-go-lucky friendly mood but the surly type. He was so tempted to walk away and leave Serge, and seeing Serena sitting on one of the benches, he was tempted even more to do so, to go sit with her. Serge most likely wouldn’t care anyway, much like he most likely wouldn’t have noticed if Johnny transferred to Hogwarts with his sisters. Yet the moment he felt the other boy’s presence behind him… well, Jon changed his mind. He’d always felt the urge to look out for Serge given the guy’s quiet nature. That didn’t mean that Jon wanted to talk to him though. In anycase, sometimes comfortable silence sometimes lapsed between them. He was silent for a moment longer at the words. Happy-go-lucky Johnny would have burst out in an enthusiastic ‘yes, and you’re going to play a few tunes with me!’. Instead, he shrugged and asked softly, “Does it matter if I'm the one who showed you or not?” Did his presence here even matter to Serge? Perhaps he should have concluded his Beauxbatons education a couple months ago.
Watching another girl {Autumn} discouraged Johnny altogether from joining Serena but it was okay. At least Serena had some company. He instead watched as other students milled about. He instantly recognised a few, Étienne included. “No, it wouldn’t be wrong to slip away,’’ Johnny silently answered the question. Still not feeling quite chatty, he headed for an empty bench, passing a professor {Dorothea} who smiled at him. His response? A simple nod as he moved on to eventually take a seat on a bench not too far from Coco.
Jonathan suddenly didn’t want to be here. He may love speaking French everyday, the French food, Beauxbatons in general but what was the point of being here when the biggest reason he had chosen to stay wouldn't have even missed him if he left? |
