Quinn nodded. "Lots of family time for me too, recently." But Quinn was fairly sure theirs was very different from Aria's. "The nephews must be thrilled, though. Whenever you come around they know they're getting something good," they giggled. "Of course you have! I'll have to show you some things I've made sometime. I'm more of a knitter, but I know my way around a sewing machine." Quinn smiled widely. "That sounds amazing! I'm living with my Gram in a flat at the moment, let me write down the address..." They pulled a notebook and pencil out of their pocket and scribbled the address, then pulled the page out to give to Aria. "Here you are!"
In hindsight, Aria hoped that it wasn’t giving vibes that she was showing off. Because she absolutely was not; there was no way she would ever promote working oneself until they were burnt out. Which was exactly how she had been feeling recently. “Naps can be your bestie in such situations,’’ Aria replied grinning impishly. “Trust me, no one knows this better than I do.”
The young woman eyed Quinn questioningly. “I hope those were good times?” It was common knowledge that family could be quite trying. Then quite suddenly, she was trying her best not to seem too pleased with herself because yes, Aria did enjoy spoiling those nephews of hers. They were her life. “I think that they wouldn’t expect anything different by now.”
There was the suspicion that she would be impressed with Quinn’s work, regardless of what they thought about it. “Impressive! Not many witches and wizards are knowledgeable when it comes to a sewing machine as they rely on magic. I sometimes find that the mundane way can be far more effective than magic.” Nothing but experience in Wizarding World’s fashion could have Aria offering up such an observation. “Excellent! I’ll get that invite to you ASAP.” Maybe she really ought to hire a personal assistant… there was always so much to do on her own, after all. “Are you heading into Malkins to get anything, Quinn?” |
