HeadGirlMC | Treddie & Trixiver <3 | Copy Girl | Katie's Ickle Minion | I love YOU more Humble maybe, compassionate definitely but stubbornness was not exclusive to the other Slytherin. He was willing to accept that he had screwed up but not enough to claim it was his sole responsibility.
Fynley hoped that his boyfriend knew him well enough to take his comments with a pinch of salt. He was very much not in the business of offending anyone intentionally and he did often use humour as a means to diffuse the situation. That wasn’t to say that Fynn completely understood the situation but he was learning. And even if Joseph could read his mind, there was nothing in there that his partner didn’t know already.
He supposed that that was meant as an insult, a playful one maybe and likely deserved which is why Fynley would never take such words to heart. “Awww baaaabe” he responded, drawing out the nickname that literally brought vomit to their mouth every time they heard another couple using it. “Your radar must be off, that’s definitely not what I was thinking..” he smirked, popping out from behind the box so that he could see him clearly. “Maybe there’s too much distance between us.” He remarked, knowing darn well that it didn’t work that way but it was a great excuse regardless.
Honestly the thought of attempting a charm on something as.. precious (don’t judge him for being a sap) as Joseph didn’t fill him with the most confidence for a positive outcome. “As stupid as it sounds, I have more faith in our climbing abilities than in my charming skills” he chuckled at his own self-deprecation. “And climbing sounds like more fun, like the old school days..”
