The other reason was that end of third year he had developed a habit of running and exercising, which he surprisingly enjoyed doing and couldn't complain about the results that were coming from it.
With the weather starting to get colder and colder each day, the blond was donning a beanie, hoodie, and sweatpants this morning. Typically he ran alongside the lake or, just to see if anything could be seen from within the darkness, the forest's edge. In fact, the forest was where he was heading today, which was why he was on a certain path.
Lost in thought about whether or not he should risk stepping into the forest today, he hadn't noticed his mother or Beans coming from another connecting path. There was a time at some point during her walk that Hadleigh realized the likelihood of being alone on these pathways was very slim. Hogwarts was much too large for her to be thinking that way. She was bound to come across someone at some point. Did she expect that someone to be her own son? No, no she did not. And she most certainly didn't expect what happened next to take place either.
For it would seem that Beans had spotted Logan even before Hady did and took off in the young man's direction as fast as the aging crup could now go. The crups only warning, the occasional excited bark of a crup that couldn't get to his boy fast enough. Whether or not he would crash right into Logan was yet to be seen.
Mama Paton DID spot Beans dart off though and followed him with her eyes, there wasn't much that would make him run off like that anymore. A small laugh slipped past her lips when she saw her son running along the pathway and she called out a quick warning to him. "Logan, look out for Beans!" Please don't trip of that silly crup like they've all done so many times before (namely Bryony).
