Pardon me as I indulge in a bit of record keeping The creative competitions here on SS hold a very special place in my heart and I am so glad that a decade and some change later that I still have the opportunity to participate in them

The latest theme was "spring" and the first thing that came to mind were cherry blossoms. Living in Japan, the cherry blossom season is a HUGE deal with 'cherry blossom forecasts' on TV and their appearance also signaling the end of one school year and the start of the next. Starbucks even has a spcial cherry blossom frapp So, naturally, I needed to make some cherry blossom inspired graphics. Keeping with the pink theme, my second graphic took cherry blossoms and combined that with a character from the Kdrama 'Alchemy of Souls' - which I have recently become engrossed with. Jin Cho-yeon is associated with Spring and even called the Spring Princess/Princess of Spring during the series and is often seen wearing a pink hanbok. So...PINK EVERYWHERE!

Which is why for my third entry I wanted something not pink I also wanted to do something very different and punny, but was struggling to think up a 'spring' pun (as in the metal coil spring) and was watching some Emily D Baker. For those who don't know her content, she has a yodeling pickle that will make appearances and, well, there was the inspiration for a dill-pun
