If Bowie was going to be totally honest with himself, there wasn’t much of interest in the Daily Prophet but it was there and it would give him something to do whilst he nursed his strong espresso. Perhaps there might have been a job advertisement that could be somewhat relevant although he doubted that as they all seemed to be desk jobs or ministry postings and he was quite sure that he would tire of those very quickly. Bowie was not made to sit behind a desk all day or engage in a mundane job. Sure, he was very good with people and had that friendly inviting nature but he was a creative and he didn’t like to sit still for too long. Which was ironic considering he had been sat still at the table for the past ten minutes only half paying attention to the newspaper.

That was until he heard a voice relatively near to him. Although he didn’t think the voice would be aimed at him as it was a relatively quiet day in the coffee shop and he wasn’t expecting anyone to be speaking to him, he looked up anyway to see a young woman of around his age directing the question to him. “Oh no, not at all” he smiled, scrambling to clear his coffee cup from the opposite side of the table to give her enough room. Bowie was not the tidiest of men, in fact he found it much easier to work in relative chaos than in a neat tidy environment where everything looked sterile and uninviting. His home environment was much the same, full of colour and second hand furniture that didn’t match but it made the twenty-seven year old happy and that was all that mattered.

He closed up the newspaper and set it to one side of the table. “Did you want to read this? I’m all finished.” That was probably the reason why she had joined him, wasn’t it? Although Bowie was extremely warm and welcoming in personality, his long hair, scruffy beard and questionable hippy fashion sense meant that a lot of the ‘professional’ types didn’t often give him the time of day.
