Had he not been using magic to levitate the cake, there was a strong possibility that it could have ended up on the floor. The Auror, though quite agile, was not expecting his son to bolt over like that. But, then again, he should have anticipated such a thing as his mini-me was very much like a vulture when it came to food. Fortunately, the cake and all 36 candles were safe.

An eyebrow rose when Hady spoke. He should be quiet before he was wearing the birthday cake? That grin he had been wearing was now more of a smirk. "That'd be such a waste. You could at least shove it in my mouth," he teased his wife, wiggling his eyebrows now. "It'd be very convenient." The blond would, of course, return the favour as it was her day after all.

Then the singing began, which Frankie did not hesitate to join. Needless to say, it was getting quite loud now, with all of them caroling and Melody's music playing. The loudness was to be expected, however. He just hoped the neighbors didn't mind all the ruckus, which honestly was something they were going to have to get used to when all of the kids were under the same roof.

Once the candles were out, he locked his blue eyes with Hady's hazel ones and gave her a birthday smooch. Sorry, not sorry, kids.

While they were all singing to his mum, Logan was multitasking. He had already started reaching for the hovering plates and forks. Initially he had only grabbed one of each for himself. Though, mid-song, the boy figured he would do something nice since today was not about him (sigh). Soon plates and forks were slowly being passed around to everyone as the song started to come to an end.

"Aaaaaaaaaand manyyyyyyyyyy morrrrrrrrrre!" the thirteen-year-old carried on at the conclusion of the song. Because, yes, he did feel the need to have the last word as they watched the birthday mum blow out all of those candles.

His eyes instantly locked on to the cake, trying to figure out which parts would be the best, and his mouth began to salivate. Logan knew that his mum was going to get the first piece, but he was going to make every effort to get the next best piece. There was, however, a bit of a hold up when it came to why the cake wasn't being cut already. The boy's head turned toward the two adults and his eyes rolled.

"Gross! You two can do that later. We've got a cake to eat!" he loudly remarked.
