I hear they're good on protein, but I'll pass and gladly let Naveen have all of those." She wasn't at all offended by his need for further companionship - Mouse too didn't want to spend all her time with just her frog - as much as she liked him. Thankfully he was fairly well behaved, was not one overly obsessed with the idea of hopping away from her.
She shouldn't have found his discomfort adorable in any way and yet... it a little bit was. She giggled again and shook her head, "Don't worry, I did not take offense personally. Truthfully I can be selective about my human companionship too." Those she felt in anyway comfortable around at Hogwarts could be counted on one hand. Though, she was happy to be friendly towards anyone. "Do you think maybe that connection will help being a deciding factor on if you work with humans or animals?" She was simply curious.
Starting with a non-school owl was a brilliant idea! But as he suggested it... she wasn't sure she knew anyone with an owl. Jude's familiar was Ned the cat and Lisa's Pascal the chameleon (a wonderful name if one asked her). Did the other people she comfortably spoke with have an owl around? "Do you... know anyone who has an owl here with them?"
