~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ Claimed by Bits ❤️ ~ Queen of Typos ❄ Magical Mosh Pit ❄ No, no! It just wasn’t you, Christopher. Reagan thought that Cassie was Supermom - a combination of Superwoman and a perfect mom. Whereas Christopher may have been biased, Rea was not; she truly saw the effort and balance Cassie put into her work and family. The older woman was definitely an inspiration.
Rea stuck her nose haughtily in the air, a mock proud moment of her getting Christopher to admit how annoying he could be. But they were laughing and no one was mad at each other. Maybe, just maybe the two could get along now it seemed. “Don’t push it, Christopher,’’ the young lady warned, eyeing him. “Just because I played along doesn’t mean I’ll hesitate to argue with you. If I do, Cassie’s bound to hear us and she’ll come over wanting to know what’s happened.” She smirked, feeling feisty in the moment.
Had she stumped him with her bluntness? Reagan was not worried; Christopher could bounce back from anything, she had come to realise. “That’s true for a lot but not for me. My parents taught my siblings and I that while it’s great to get lost in our passions, it’s not the only thing we should get lost in. Doing so can make you neglect the smaller moments and the other people around you. When you do either, you miss opportunities or you push people away because they’ll think you’re not interested in them anymore.” So while Rea did get lost in her acting, once it was over, she was back to focusing on the real world.
That tidbit about random messages made her burst into laughter. “I can just picture you trying to make sense of and trying to figure out who sent them. It’s adorable though, they way they love your presence so much.” |
