Ooops that didn't go as planned was Maria instant reaction as her friend bolted upright, and went from beaming at her to panicked wide eyes. Maybe in hindsight she should have asked Vera about it after class? Thinking before acting Maria was bad at sometines and thus this little nugget had blurted out. "It was just a lot talk in the corridors about you being seen chatting a loooooooooong time with a lion boy in the portraits corridor. Logan I think?"

Maria didn't though not have time to reassure Vera that she wasn't intending to upset her. She just thought it was fun that they both had crushessss. Prof Escalante however decided that it was the perfect time to start class. Maria gave her friend a last glance before focusing on the instructions. They had to choose a puzzle board, memorize the pattern and then fly on a broom across the pitch, collect an egg and at the same time balance said egg puzzle piece on a spoon back to lay it on the board.

Her hand and eye coordination wasn't the best and on top it off she had to balance on a broom. Last time she had been lucky to not fly into the whomping willow. Trying not to worry too much Maria picked up a board for herself as well as a spoon and a broom before memorizing the first puzzle piece. She needed a blue egg with a red cross on it for the piece in the right bottom corner.

On Prof Esclante's signal she kicked off from the ground on her broom and flew over the pitch. On the other side she picked up the right blue egg and tried to balance it on her spoon. It took her four failed attempts where she had dropped the egg being very glad her shoes didn't look like scambled eggs when she on the fifth attempt manged to balance the egg on the spoon without dropping it as she mounted her broom carefully, kicked off from the ground, and flew back the way she had come to place the egg on her puzzle board.

Elated of her success Maria memorized the colour and shape of the next egg and mounted her broom and kicked off into air to fly to the egg nest.
