Ah the memories that thankfully were mostly good.
Pushing through the door of the Three Broomsticks to meet up with her colleague, the astronomy professor looked around and took in her surroundings. Not much had changed, other than perhaps the clothing trends of the students escaping their school uniforms. Celeste spotted Marilyn in one of the booths in a corner and made her way over, carefully dodging a waitress with a tray of food. “All behaving so far,” she mused as she took a seat of her own. They would probably both agree though that visiting someplace with your kids was different from visiting with colleagues. Her mind drifted off to her boys and she wondered about their experiences in this pub. She wondered if she failed them by not inquiring? She always wanted to give them their space but perhaps that wasn't to their benefit?
Her thoughts were interrupted at Celeste's arrival, much to Marilyn's gratitude and she set the menu down and glanced around. "I should hope so. I think most probably know that this is a privilege that could be revoked at any time." Well the older ones at least. "At least nothing catastrophic. Firewhiskey drinker or something else?" She for one could use something strong. |
